blood elves are a branch of elf, so, shouldn't they get the range of elf colors instead of the range of human colors? Genuinely curious why they get another species' colors instead of their own. Also, I think their range of colors should probably go to more of a burnt orange-brown, that seems to be a more realistic swatch of coloring from pale-dark orange/brown, meaning, the various types of skin that would naturally be affected by their specific situation. I just think getting a different specie' color isn't well-thought out or unique. Why don't they get the range of colors unique to their branch of species and their unique circumstances? It also means we won't be bumping into a new culture of dark colored elves on another spot of azeroth which is what I was hoping. Now they're all rolled into blood elves.Lastly, one thing that makes our fantasy races's appearance unique is their special circumstance such as being involved with a particular magic or power, living in a different landscape such as being sealed off from the outside world, drinking stuff that transforms you, evolving, curses, de-evolving, etc. With so many skin colors it feels like we're not get more more options but less, because one of the things that made our varied species' unique is begin watered down. the nightborn skin color for night elves was freakin' weird man. It's diluting things and making it so the circumstances that have befallen most of our races are no longer part of their history. I know that sounds extreme but one of the appeals is blue trolls, purple night elves, green orcs, dark dark iron dwarves, etc. Mostly I just wish they'd hold off on lots of these colors so they can give them to cultures we haven't met yet elsewhere on azeroth or beyond. And, as all humans have all human colors, if they want to do that for elves, give all elf all elf colors, not human colors - or make the elf colors more fitting to their ciricumsstance - ranging from pale/peach - dark orange/brownish would make more sense. It also means longed for branches of species such as sand trolls, wild hammers and grimtotem will never be represented in game, they'll only able to be pretended.
Can men have this too please and thank you
So pretty!
Oh wow look at thaaaat! give void elf some body stuff too ok?
They would be the first race to have body jewelry.
Make it available for male blood elves too, you cowards.
Nice, reminds me of Xerxes' chains from 300.
what is the point when u cant xmog urself nude (pants off, I don't mean underwear that would have to be a 18+ feature where blizz verifies ur age for the dlc)
curious how some of these would work unless hide pants is an option
Some of ya'll take Warcraft far too seriously if you're legitimately getting angry over what should be an unarguably positive move, giving players more options to play out the FANTASY that they want to.And I'm going to repeat myself again, but it IS racist to specifically single out for criticism the fact that Blood Elves, Dwarfs and Gnomes are getting new darker skin tones but not level that same criticism against say, Draenei getting a blue-green skin tone and a pinker skin tone, or any of the other races getting new skin tones that we've never seen before and don't seem to have any 'lore explanation'. And it's racist also because what you're essentially declaring is that it's fine for completely fictional beings to look like white humans, but for some reason it's not okay for them to look like non-white humans. But here's a real easy explanation for darker skinned Blood Elves, The Sunwell is back online and some of them got an extra dosage of the magical tanning bed power of the Light. Or you know, they existed all along and the reason we never saw them is the same reason we never saw any of the other multitude of new customisation options before... they weren't available in the game even if they made sense in the setting. Like are we going to use the lack of tattoo options as evidence that those cultures don't do tattoos? No because that would be silly and it'd limit future customisation options. It doesn't really need explaining though, in the same way that orcs being originally brown was never explained, or trolls being blue, or why it is that Draenei blood is blue or even why all the grass is green. It really just seems like you're looking for a way to justify your irrational feeling of outrage, and I'm just sorry you feel that way.
Alliance ppl are gonna cry blood for this and i love it ♥
I hope that Male Blood Elf also get some jewelry options, i wanna be fancy too
