Yet another welcomed leaked speculation got debunked(updated old zones & cities)Give me a God damn good reason for the worgens not having their own city back , even the humans to get Lordaeron rebuilded or even get an unblighred undercity for the uncertain poor race (the undead) We spend unknown time in the afterlife and not even a day of progress have happend to Azeroth. As always the devs are too lazy to make the world more dynamic and be more of a reflection of the current lore status
Huh, I wonder if their minds changed or something because I remember somebody else pointing out that nothing on Azeroth can hurt the sword. That leads me to think that we'd need a Titan to destroy it, and we should all know that can't happen. (SPOILERS! Legion revealed that the Pantheon that was being worshipped are all dead, and Sargeras is the only remaining.) Still, if someone working with the devs reminds us that the corruption has been cleansed, I'll probably just wait for the new story.
Yeah, can't leave the sword there. It just feels completely unresolved. Something should be done about it. It was cool and all to have the big bad stab A Planet but it's pretty clear they didn't really have a solid plan for how to move forward from that exciting moment... feels lame.
"What sword" was funny the first time but it's fast becoming a sign to let you know who doesn't bother thinking about the lore.I know people say the writers don't, but if they're going to get on their high horse about the writers not caring about the lore they should probably think about it themselves or they just seem hypocritical. They do, however, need to show in-game that the wound has stabilised. Expecting your players to put information together only goes so far; they need to be blatant about resolutions.
Talking about it again tells us they haven't forgotten, and likely this dismissal is because its not on their dragonlands storyboard. I see it as far more likely for them to deal with the night elves tree problem, as the original world trees had dragons involvement in their creation. I wish they would advance the world near the sword though - spend an hour, get rid of the elementals there, put some more mages or researchers or something, reflecting the mortal races considering the problem of removing it safely. Consider its proximity to the heart chamber, a chaotic removal could cause more damage than it would save. It's just weird that nobody acknowledges it anymore in game, especially because the other BFA plot threads seem to be getting memory holed too (night elf vengeance, sylvannas, the gift of n'zoth, bwomsamdi) after unsatisfying conclusions in this or last expansion.
"It's just a flesh wound"
My hot take: The sword will remain in Azeroth until she is born, then free sword for Azeroth to wield.
I think at the very end of Shadowlands they're going to remove it & plant a world tree in the wound.
"Don't Look Up!"XD
Nothing to see here folks
Guys, Isn't to obvious? They're gonna use Gorribal (the sword in silithis) and Taeshalach (the fire sword transmog you got from Aggramar) to reforge Gorshalach, the old sword Sargaras used before he fel to madness. Maybe Azeroth is gonna use it, maybe the player gets it, who knows? The only worthy opponent I see us needing something of that caliber for is say an actual void lord but hey, if we can beat the Jailer at his own game with nothing more than a anti-domination helmet and a couple of legos then maybe we don't even need that! Especially after 1 shoting the mastermind of the old gods, remember that? The story's is bland, everything's out of the water, we're too big to lose. That's what this whole thread is about, how leaving a massive sword stuck there as a 'splinter' is too much of a problem to ignore. Don't even get my started on the shadowlands, this massive expanse of a realm that we only spend a short time on in 6 islands and now we're ditching it for dragons.Magni: Champion, Azeroth calls for your aid in the dragon isles.Me: Dragons? is that even worth my time?Magni: NopeMe: Well I guess I'll go, got nothing better to do.
(ignore this one, double post)
