This is completely fine. 500 anima is nothing. The only thing that sucks is that there is no neck piece and trinkets are a casino with low rng. 226 is also way enough to get started. Stygia prices were way worse and hard to come by with upto 1.5k for weapon. Here even the weapon seems to be 500 for now.
Still no neck. And this Trinket/ring is bs..
get an only ring and trinket token and its nice way for catch up on fresh alts.
Again no neck, why is the neck always absent. Still it's some free gear for fresh lvl 60s so that's good.
People complain over nothing. I am barely 215, so this gear would be upgrades for me. I dont expect to climb much higher until 9.2.
There's also Font of Ephemeral Power to learn all conduits to 226 ilvl for 500g on vendor nearby, can be sent to other characters account wide.
500 anima per piece is a good price considering how easy it is to obtain it.ppl that complain that its too expensive havnt played 9.1 or even 9.1.5barely even do rare mobs for anima anymore and i just get 50k anima from doing 3 weekly raid bosses and 4 m+ dungeons over time.
Good for catch up, actually very pleased for future alts, but I'd still like to see upgradable gear in ZM.
this is not bad, assuming that 9.2 happens before i get the last of my characters to lv 60. Anima is a way cheaper cost than Stygia since Ve'nari's weeklies (now dailies) no longer reliably gives them.though i doubt 220 to 226 is that big of a difference to quest in Zereth Mortis.
again... 9 rings for 1 trinket or 10 shields until I get main hand... and for what reason? just for pure annoyance? Also is there a neck this time?
How is this useful for alts or even new players? After 1-2 days of farm you can get 236 gear from korthia, and here we get 226? Is this a joke? Also agree about all the comment about the trinket and ring being 1 token. 1 token for 4 slots is pretty stupid design….
I honestly don't get those of you saying the ilvl is too low. You can get an alt fresh to 60, and go from 146->226 ilvl instantly for what is essentially free at this point. This lets you immediately go into m+ next season and start getting upgrades. Were you expecting a full set of 252 gear with sockets? "Catch-up" gear is made to catch you up to the minimum to begin doing current tier content, not catch you up with current tier gear. Also, for those of you comparing this to Korthia gear being higher ilvl: Korthia gear is locked behind a rep, behind a currency that you must spend weeks on getting enough of, etc.. Realistically the Korthia catch-up gear is 200 ilvl.
A single day of dailies in Korthia, where you complete most rares along the way, normally nets me anywhere between 2K-2.5K anima. So sure, the cost doesn't seem like much... however, that would mean doing Korthia in the first place with Alts, and it would be assuming you don't have to buy repeats for rings, weapons and trinkets. And you aren't trying to upgrade the sanctum for Oribos portal. Some specs are so screwed with that. Take Fury Warrior... you can roll a single handed, then a two handed, then a single handed with wrong stats, and so on. Not even talking about trinket rareness. 500 seems steep for Alt catchup. 250-300 is more reasonable, UNLESS WQ's also get a bump in Ilvl. Then Its all good.
but when 9.2 drops, there's no reason to be in Korthia - this is a good solution for a fresh max-level to get to where they can enjoy the content. That's the point of the catchup gear - not to make them raid-ready, but to be able to walk in the new zone w/o being terrified or running old content.
