That's a great change, 226 starter gear for relatively cheap. Makes everyone with fresh lvl 60 alts and a main with a ton of anima happy. To people suggesting that Korthia gear is better. You need substantially more grind just to get the same 226 piece. First you need Tier 6 rep, then you need to buy the item to unlock 226 upgrade, then you need days worth of research notes grind per piece of gear just to get to 226. And then you can go to 233 but that is days worth of grind more per every piece. But if you like that better than paying 500 anima, then sure, go ahead, what's the problem.
So anything less than 226 on a fresh 60 is tantamount to straight up trolling others in your group.
Btw, how does this gear looks like (transmog)? A different color of the new Broker sets?
The question I have is how much anima is gained in 9.2? Korthia gives a good amount now, but when the zone dies and rares take a couple of minutes to solo it won't be worth it to go back. Hopefully, the new zone has a good amount. Still need around 700k for that xmog.
Would like to add one part to the too few/too much argument: anima is still useful for other stuff, especially if you four-Covenant on one character. I'm by nature a mainer, upgrading sanctum minigames takes tens of thousands of anima. 500/pc is not much, but not entirely trivial if you intend to get a full set, which for convenience sake takes 15 pieces. That's 7.5k, half the upgrade cost of a rank 5 sanctum minigame. If ZM gives more anima than Korthia, 500 is fine. If it's about the same, slightly less per piece would be ideal.
Still no Token for Necklaces! Why the necklace hate Blizz?
Still no amulet BoA i see
Interesting one. Solo players will still be better off grinding away in Korthia for gear. (It's been a couple of years since I did LFR. Is it still 60+ mins queue for DPS?).
my 9.0 character is at 226, hole damn talk about worthless junk
