Are you still able to mix expansions as you wish? Like can I do 10 quests in Northrend, invasions in Legion, then some original dungeons and then get a garrison in Draenor?
Either Legion or Draenor... kinda sick from leveling in WotLK and TBC the rest is just not worth it...
How far do you get in Legion in terms of quests? If you have to cross all 4 areas then that would be a good idea for lazy players like me who still lack the "balance of power" questline and therefore the weapon skins in some classesP.S. Okay, even if there were only 2 areas then it would be more than what you take with you through normal leveling at the moment.
Wow ... didn't think the difference is that big. š¤
Will the Legion invasions be available and still give the same amount of XP? Currently each invasion gives 1-2 levels. What I usually do when reaching 100 is just park my characters and wait for invasions to come, then do the objectives with multiple chars at once.
So I don't get "flamed", I'll put a disclaimer here before I start,..and say,..this is my own personal opinion, and others may not agree with it :)....I always find speed levelling funny, as now it barely can take any time at all to race through levels to get to the end. When it used to takes months/years to level before. (yes I've played since 2004,...lol). I know it can be good for some things, and I've levelled a lot of alts (but then I don't mind questing and doing all the things along the way). But the part I always find quite humourous is when people fly through it, then complain there is no content or nothing to do at the end of it all :)Myself, I'd rather know I have about 2 years to work through the things I want to. And there's always plenty of things to do as well (with mounts, pets, toys, achievements, etc etc etc). :)But interesting to see which expansions work better. I like mixing it up when I level more alts, as otherwise doing one zone over and over can get a bit repetitive. It's nice to go back to other zones for a "refresher" :)Most of all,...it's enjoyable :)Have fun!
I think I will choose Pandaria for my next char, that's the only expansion I haven't played much yet. And after that, not sure, maybe Legion, I really liked the story and order hall quests. That also makes it different experience for each class.
Kind of a bummer! I don't really care about the speed (although I wish they all offered around the same leveling speed but w/e) I was/am interested in leveling in Wotlk, TBC and older zones in Eastern Kingdoms and Kalimdor. As someone who joined in late Cata, I didn't really experience much of the questing experience (outside of a few zones) in Northrend or Outland. But its a shame to see that we will reach level 50 before we get to any good parts of those expansions' stories, big let down :/
Using 60% ground mount for first levels in this expansions and 50% without flying really sucks.
So it'll still take anywhere from 12 to 24 hours to level from 10 to 50? That's disappointing to hear. I mean, it's significantly faster than the current 48-55 hours, but it's still a pretty long time, and the biggest problem is that there's so much inconsistency. Like, at this stage, you'd be crazy to level in Northrend, Outland or Cataclysm areas when Legion and WoD are twice as fast.
What about classic zones? Am I able to level in vanilla zonez? And how fast will it be ~?
I am just so damn glad that i don't have to pick between a 13 year or 11 year old expansion to level.
I guess I will give Pandaria a shot with my fresh Zandadin, i kinda liked the whole gardening questline.
wait a minute, shouldnt it be much faster than now 1-120? i think they said some 2/3 of time...bcs you can get that in 24h...
Obviously Draenor. The storyline out there is fastest. The revamped storytelling we saw in Draenor still holds its appeal. You'll feel Dadgar's breath on your shoulder then suddenly his screams "run, run RUN RUUUUUUUUUUUN!". Leveling in Draenor indeed feels like the first day. From the starting zone (though Shadowmoon Valley is a bit longer than Frostfire) to Spires of Arakk, you're always in rush. Nagrand is a bit relaxing. I don't think so i am gonna level up more hordies as i already got 20 of them at max. I think my alliance characters will always going to hear Yrel's nagging voice in the near future. On a side note, I leveled up my Vulpera by doing only quests. Northrend indeed is annoying AF. I did only Howling Fjord and reached level 80 from 60, i can understand the wisdom buff was on. But still, its really grindy, slow and literally lack of any kind of QoL.
My main goal with alts is to get their Legion class mounts, so my plan is to take the ones I have left through that expac to get that process started while leveling. There's also the bonus of having all the unique class stories to help keep things from getting too stale.
