A map with the teleporters would be nice.
It's almost like you don't need a mount to travel through the Maw if you're willing to just be a little creative. Convenient as mounts are, they completely eliminate the need to look for and use a number of different tools which make players engage less with the game, not more.

Thanks for ur tips. The last 2. lol.
Isn't Layer 8 opening next week with mount reward for completion?
HandyNotes is updated with travelstones in the Maw :)
Ve'nari sells a stealth potion that also grants a speed boost.
Seconded. I saw it yesterday and wasn't sure what was causing it and it just wore off. Now I do. Nitpick is nitpick.
I'm using Arcane in The Maw with Shimmer and Chrono Shift (MVP - just spam this ability on random targets) talents, also I'm using equip with Speed stat (more than 200 % movement speed with everything mentioned). Don't forget that you can choose Mass Invisibility PvP talent for another invisibility spell and Master of Escape. Another tip is Darkmoon Cannon+Goblin Glider Kit/Slow Fall combo. Last thing to note is Door of Shadows covenant ability (Venthyr).
Engineering also has a cheap tinker Nitro Boosts that acts as a sprint on a 2 minute cooldown. Note that this tinker shares a cooldown with speed potions and occasionally a bad effect occurs, which is usually getting launched in to the air, in which case I just use a glider. This seems to happen with about a 20% chance, but with normal WoW RNG, I have used it 20 times with no problems and have had it fail twice in a row, so it is really up to the user whether or not it is worth having.
Borr-geth toy also launches you in the air for all the non-gnomish non-engineers out there.
No offence, but if engineers haven't been using the Gravity Well/Glider since they existed, in no fly zones (when the well works!), then they don't deserve to use them now. It's certainly far from a new thing. Blimey. And yeah, Nitros. Surely this was obvious stuff. Though most of the time when you want the speed to get away you get the DoT, when you want to be in the air you get the speed, and when you want to be in the air....well...DoT again :p
Gonna say, the one greatest benefit I've had with my Death Knight is that she is a Pandaren: Bouncy is a wonderful racial trait when it's relevant. Half fall damage makes doing dumb leaps to get somewhere faster so much more manageable when it doesn't take 60-70% of your health (and still likely put you in combat, cause The Maw has guards in all the worst spots).
