Wonderful! Screw the AI cult!
Convincing argument against AI challenge, difficulty impossible.
okay, not for art, but pretty sure they could write some quests with it
I didn’t think that they were but now I am questioning it, lol!
.This is not good news. They SHOULD use AI, as the quality of the game narrative / story / gameplay decesions only could benefit from it, couldn't go worse. Not joking btw.
Maybe we should.Maybe AI would give us Drakonids instead of rainbow geckos with wings.
I don't care if AI is used or not. I want a quality game.
I got banned for abusive language and when i appealed it said i got banned for offensive language in overwatch 2 when I HAVE never played overwatch or downloaded any of that game on my bnet. Only time i ever talked was plunderstorm and seems i got mass reported playing that mode.
Reading the interview, it's clear he's trying to make Blizzard look good in their response while not actually touching on the real reason they're avoiding AI.Reading comments, it's clear the vast majority of people don't understand the impact of AI or Blizzard's response. To put it simply, current law doesn't allow AI generated content to be copyrighted. That is the sole reason Blizzard won't use AI until that has been sorted. It leaves them open to people taking their assets and using them elsewhere. They want to control their own intellectual property.
They should use AI to give every Quest in WoW Voiceover, in every language. Like the addon VoiceOver for classic wow….It would cost they almost nothing and it gives so much deep and immersion for the players!
Blizzard has already used an AI, you only have to see the k-pop event artwork on OW2 to recognize it. (Cf SSERAFIM promo)
If an AI can bring us playable Sethrak, use it just for that then throw it away. Ta.
