“There are no innocents. There are, however, different degrees of responsibility.” (с)Think that the Light leader will be Elune, ans she will be evil.
Damn they're gonna leave Turalion back in stormwind and he'll turn into crazy zealot Yrel until we come back. Aaand welcome world of warcraft reign of the light..

They should have kept the original line. I think the Light should still be seen as good and the Shadow as an evil force. Blur the lines too much and things get messy with no one knowing which side to choose.
imagine if every few years authors just released altered versions of their novels because they decided they wanted to go a different way with the story, no one would buy their books they would actually be the laughing stock of writers across the globe, why should it be acceptable here? oh you thought of something different or even better? well maybe you should have put more than an afternoon into thinking of your story up to this point.
Imagine retconing a digital comic book.Come on Blizzard we know WoW's lore is garbage but you guys can do better.
I've been telling myself that the Shadowlands is right before the last part of the comic, ever since Ion said that how time works in the Shadowlands... its all Chaotic. This would explain the last part of the Legion Comic!.When we leave the Shadowlands with Anduin so will he be this old king that we see in the comic.Genn may try to get the throne of Stormwind, but when Anduin comes back to Stormwind as this old Gramps, and Genn still haven't changed abit, may see that something have changed within Anduin, It's no longer the Anduin Genn is used to learn and talk ideas with. Now Anduin is way smarter after all he's learnt within the Shadowlands. It would somewhat make sense aswell, since Blizzard said there will be " CONFLICTS " between the Alliance, this could be one of the conflicts between the Humans and the GilneansNow... i dont know what they are facing in the end of the Legion comic, but i do highly doubt that they talk about the Burning Legion again.None of us knows what their final battle is, but here is my speculation.During our visit to the Shadowlands, something will happen with the Titans at the Seat.-----------------------------------------------Il'gynoth QuotesHere we go again, i know i know xD1. The Light has struck a bargain with the enemy of all. This is Calia, but he called DEATH the enemy of ALL.2. The cunning ones kneel before six masters, but serve only one.Six Masters: 1: Holy // 2: Disorder // 3: Death // 4: Shadow // 5: Order // 6: LifeAll we have done since Vanilla --> BFA has been serve DEATH with souls.3. Six seats at the high table. Six mouths that hunger. One will consume all others. The first two explains for themself, but " One will consume all others "... Will Death actually claim us all?-----------------------------------------------So why do i think the Titans is the big bad in the Warcraft history?, Well first of all we're going through a cycle, not the one we hear from the Old gods. But us players thinking that we're doing the right thing, but when its truly the Opposite!, we are ment to believe that the Void & Light and such forces are the big bad?, I'm telling you it's the Titans.During the Argus fight, when he kills us, we get to see the realm of the dead at the Seat of the Pantheon, what do we see?, Models of corruption which we've seen in 2 expansions prio to LEGION, i doubt its just some random models roaming.I'd say thats straight up Sha manifested from the Titans PRIDE.B..but Noxxie... it makes no sense...Yes it does.1. Sha came to be from the Breath over Pandaria from the old GOD Y'shaarj, the to be told strongest Old god that roamed on Azeroth.2. Aman'thul ripped Y'shaarj the strongest Old god filled with corruption from Azeroth, I doubt that Aman'thul ripped him out and all is good!.3. If that is Sha at the Seat of the Pantheon, which the titans can't see, then they are truly done for.-----------------------------------------------If you look at the Argus end-cinematic, you can see a Expression of Despair on Sargeras face for like 2 seconds at 2:17 --> 2:19 , as if he knows somehow whats going on at the Seat of the Pantheon, now he too is stuck there with Illidan and the rest of the Titans.Afterall, he got to learn about the VOID from the Nethrazim, and is there a Known Nethrazim in Antorus?, Well i believe there is one thats being Ruthlessly tortured? Varimathras, He could for all we know had told Sargeras what the Void's capable of, this would explain the horrific expression Sargeras makes in the Cinematic, because he KNEW he were to be doomed with the rest.-----------------------------------------------Peoples say that the Void can't consume a fully grown titan, I'd say thats exactly what Blizzard wants you to believe, this is what it says about the VOID on WowpediaFrom the moment the physical universe was born, the void lords had been watching the titans of the Pantheon. Envious of the titans' power, the void lords attempted to corrupt one of them, but the titans remained impervious to their attempts. Instead, the void lords pooled their power and hurled dark, parasitic horrors — later known as the Old Gods — out into the universe to find and exert their influence over a titan in its most vulnerable state: as a slumbering world-soul.We know that beings from the titans minds can be corrupted as we've seen in Ulduar, the keepers minds were controlled by Yogg-saron, by his minions appearing in our dimension / RealityBut what if the Sha we see at the Seat, has found a way to exploit the minds of the Titans?.I mean... how can you fight a force that you can not see?-----------------------------------------------Either way!, im getting ahead of myself here xD, let's get back to the Legion Comic, i'd say that time have been flowing really fast within the Shadowlands, but normally in Reality, a Wild shot, Let's say Current Anduin is 24 years old entering Shadowlands, the time will feel normal for us, but compare to azeroth it's super fast, and when we and Anduin comes out he may be like 55 years old. While the time on Azeroth may be somewhat normal, and let's say Shadowlands time for us have gone 31 Years, but on Azeroth it may just have gone 4 - 5 years. And alot could happen to the Titans in these 4-5 years, they've gone corrupted just like the Void wanted, Velen informs Anduin about the situation, and decide to take the fight to the Seat of the Pantheon, the Lightbound sounds like trouble, but what if its with their help we confront the Titans as reinforcement?.Thats when the end of the PictureEither way, if Azeroth does not wake up soon, then all is Game Over, Maybe she can defeat the Titans, or heck even purify the Titans from the void's powers.-----------------------------------------------We are in the EndGame, Pieces starts to go together. If you made it through the whole wall of text, Thank you!.I wish you all a Wonderfull Day!, Much love and stay safe in these rough times! <3
Just commenting to point out that this article is almost completely wrong in saying that:
one small line of change causes a frenzy, let the story play out. relax, there may or may not be a good reason for this lore wise. We should look forward to it instead of gripe about anything that comes.
The ending to that comic is quite possibly the worst thing ever written in the entirety of Warcraft story and lore. They should honestly just retcon the entire thing for it being so unbelievably pretentious, although knowing Blizzard, it's very possible that none of the current writers are even aware of this comic existing. If that truly is the case, it's better that way.
Goddamn grey morality. Since Warcraft 1 we had classical scheme where Light was good and Darkness was bad. This scheme worked in Warcraft 2, in Warcraft 3, where power of Light could heal and bane forces of darkness (who threatened Azeroth and its folks). In WoW we can heal allies with light spells, paladins like Argent Dawn were good guys (even Scarlet Crusade were understandable guys who were fooled by demons), when Old Gods were classical evil guys (so were Scourge and Burning Legion). It worked, and it worked good, so Light vs Darkness as Good vs Evil was one of rules of Warcraft (and good fantasy always follows its inner rules). And now? HURR DURR LIGHT IZ BAD VOID IZ GUD. When we can see completely opposite during play. Who even decided such a nonsense? Another miserable plot writer who didn`t play Warcraft before? Or it`s a blind fashion following because OHHHH DARK FANTASY IT`S SO COOL SO COMPLICATED NOT YOUR CHILDREN`S TALES ABOUT GOOD AND EVIL WOW IT`S SO REALISTIC SO ADULT? It`s a cringe for teen edgelords who don`t care about this universe and its lore. Thanks, Activision Blizzard, but "morally grey" from Battle for Azerite was so pitiful that this addon fully deserved the worst user scores in the history of Warcraft. If we were able to see how many subscribers WoW had in this "dark" and "adult" addon, I think we would see very small numbers. Maybe these dull stories aren`t thing liked by players? Maybe that`s one of reasons why Vanilla became too popular for a game directly from 2004? Now MMORPG survives not the best times, now MOBAs and session games are the most popular, so I don`t know why Activision Blizzard hopes that today WoW can attract many new players when keeping old players isn`t necessary... Especially when can write long detailed posts why WoW becomes worse and worse under hashtag #warcraft making anti advertising for this game.
we don't need old Anduin for sure, Khadgar was enough
not really a retcon, more like a precon
it's like you're being held by force. And gray morals-not like those of the scum named Silvana-are good. After all, this is not a game for kids.
