Release of the raid in January would be ok imo.
I used to take time off work to play expac opening days. First there was that arrow to the knee. Then the DDOS attacks making it impossible to log in to the game. I think that was WoD, and the last time I wasted vacation time for a WoW opening day.
Hmhmhmhmhm...
November 24th would be the worst possible time BECAUSE it's Thanksgiving. Duh.I can call in sick to work, I can take time off from that, but I can't tell my family 'Yo, no holidays this year - Shadowlands is launching'.
well the store page now says this *World of Warcraft®: Shadowlands expansion will be available later this year.
There's no comparing this unprecedented situation with ones in the past. Now that they have delayed, we are in an old fashioned Blizzard "when it's ready" situation, right up until the end of the year. I'm confident that before they made this announcement that they got commitments from staff to just work thru the holidays.I would not be surprised to see launch as late as mid to late December.
all you babbling nonsense about blizz violating their own TOS or any other sort of legal malarkey if they dont release in 2020 need to just stop. Yeah they said they would, things get delayed tho. Are they legally obligated to release in 2020 like all you lawyers think? not likely. could people possibly seek refunds if they dont release in 2020? Probably. I bet you could probably even get refunds now if you were really motivated and mature about it during the process.
Im thinking two to three more months.
I have 2 guesses. Either release this year but the first raid won't be available until the new year (absolutely no one wants to do progression through the holidays) or just release it next year.
It has to be in 2020 or they run into legal issues. I think it will be late November, not December. They want their holidays off and don’t care if it’s still half broken at launch.
