The amount of lfr heros claiming a sub 4% damage increase is mandatory to clear 10/10 M at the end of a raid tier cracks me up. Literally all of these complaints come from people that think they need full socket max ilvl conduits to clear mythic. Goes to show that half of the commentors don't even get further than AotC which is completely fine. Sockets these days are just a tool to help outgear content even further. You don't magically kill a boss just because your raid had a sub 0,02% damage boost. Sockets do one of 2 thingsa) Minimally compensate for missing gear in early progressb) Increase sim dps for you to share on discord to meme on your guildiesA fully socketed raid does around 5% more damage compared to a non socketed one. If the same amount of time farming sockets would be put into actual progress, the average wowhead commentor would get a multiple of permance increase out of it.
Is the Rep for this faction infinitely grindable or in some way capped like venari?
The rep and currency grind would be fine if you actually got to choose what conduits you wanted to upgrade. I don't understand why literally every layer of this game needs to be RNG when you've already put in the effort to grind out the rep and currency.
so happy to leave the game for 9.1, same *!@# as usual. I'm just hoping for 9.2 everything is fixed because I like wow but not this shadowlands #$%^
Bye, bye mythic raiding ...
The conduit grind is the most egregious - they need to add alternate methods of obtaining higher item level conduits or make the conduit item non-random. The fact that you can't get 213/226 dungeon conduits from keystones boggles my mind. The other issue is not being able to grind currency out in one sitting - having to log in every day makes it feel so much more like a chore. Timegated grinds with no catch-up just feel so bad and Shadowlands is full of them. Will the new zone still have an eye of the jailer mechanic?
Am I the only one who is confused about the tooltip saying that you can add a Socket so a season ONE item? Is it a Bug or is it intended to be a replacement for the Venari Item since it can be purchased with the new currency instead of Stygia?
I mean, people complain no matter what they put on the rep vendors. If they have desirable items; people complain because they don't want to earn rep to unlock them. If they don't have desirable items (think 200ilvl rep gear); people complain because they feel like they don't earn anything from having done what was required to unlock them. Rep vendors have to have something desirable to even have a point to existing. That's just self evident. But that Codex... better not function exactly like Unbound Reality Fragment. That design is absolutely stupid, being able to only hold one at a time and having to drag it back to the Sanctum to use. For a random Conduit. Almost guaranteeing you are going to need to repeat this process a good number of times. A completely inefficient, waste of time having to travel to use this item. To use Unbound Reality Fragment, is a truly frustrating experience. And there is no reason it ever had to be.
we have already done this , they randomly decide to remove it for no reason and then make us do it again
Oh the joy of upgrading a conduit for a spec you don't even play. I can't wait.
It's not about the rep. It's about grinding out the currency for RNG conduit upgrades once you've done the rep. Let people upgrade conduits of their choosing and there'd be a lot less reason for complaint.Regarding not enough grind in Shadowlands - that's a Blizzard issue. They add grinds that are clearly unwanted by the community (like this one) just to try and prolong player retention, rather than add in grinds that are actually enjoyable gameplay. That's their issue. They focus on what will 'force' players to grind for long periods of time, rather than content that makes people WANT to actually stay and play their game.Anima is a long grind, but it doesn't impact player power at all and the rewards are generally pretty fun and cool. The necrolord abomination factory is an example of a cool grind (my opinion, it's not for everyone). You build new aboms, you get cosmetics for them and yourself, it has a tonne of flavour items just for fun, you can unlock mounts and pets. Much better than a rep than gives you a chance to upgrade a conduit you might use. That's the problem people have with a lot of content lately, it's also while PvP gearing was much preferred over M+. It's a deterministic system. You put in a certain amount of time and effort for a reward that is guaranteed for that time and effort.I miss the days when you could hit exalted with a faction and all of the exalted rewards were instantly available. When you'd hit exalted and the rep vendor would have a mount for 5k and it'd be a cool bonus. Since they allowed so much gold into the game, you hit exalted and have to chunk out 90k (in the case of BFA reps) for reskinned mounts or 500k for the legion Lightforged Warframe. The game needs more things like Mage Tower with unique skins per spec. Stuff like Challenge Mode where each class had their own set and you could work towards this goal on multiple characters. You get Keystone Master now and you get one account wide title and mount and there is no reason to revisit it on an alt outside of gear. But they got lazy and decided to design one set for everyone per armor type./rant over
Dont imagine being a druid, it sucks. I play Bear for M+ and Resto for Raid. I tried the RNG Conduit Lottery this patch 6x and what I got upgrades for -every- single time was Balance. After that I gave up. Not being able to target specs is BS and makes it more of a hassle than it's worth. Until they make it random for whatever spec your in, it aint worth it.
yessssssss just what we want to do grind rep awesome -_-
Imagine playing an MMO and complaining every time something isn't spoon-fed to you.
