The crafting orders sound like an interesting idea. What has me most intrigued about the idea the is the potential it has to remove a lot of stress off of the auction house. Would be interesting to see if this will end up slimming it down and speeding the response time back up.
I want a really complete revamp of profession. From all Expansions. Combine old Materials to the new Addons and the other way round.
I hope this Proffession update affected the entire Proffession and not just Dragonflight part.
I really love the revamp! I hope it revives professions :)
I was excited with profession changes in WoD and again in SLs but this revamp will put all the past ones to shame and take professions back to the TBC days. At the end of the day you want to turn a profit, the issue being that there is such a slim margin between material cost and sales earnings that in just over half the items a crafting profession can make you actually make more gold just straight up selling the mats rather than bothering with crafting something to sell. Being able to put out a commission fee the seller will pay actually has a strong potential to value crafted items over the value of materials which is something I have been waiting for for years. Making professions more in-depth by adding skill and difficulty in crafting an item into its quality only enhances professions once more from something you spam by an AH NPC/mailbox to something you are more social with.
Give-all-professions-to-one-char pleeeeeeeeeease! QQIf you do a lot of raiding and/or keys you are basically forced to be alc/engi.But i wanna craft my own gear/legos! I wanna gather herbs for my potions myself! And i ain't gonna use my alts for this because guess what? They raid/key a lot too.Is this really too much to ask?
the problem of this system is people don't know how much an item would actually cost, and there will always be that someone who wants to craft it for less gold because they have too many matsso unless it is for some super rare item which no one has the recipe for its again uselessjust disable auction api at long lastpeople have been asking for this for eons... -.-
It’s always felt silly having leggo mats sitting in my bag as I pay for a AH item.Least now I can attach them and get a cheaper leggo, I assume?
Crafting orders sounds like a great solution to getting all the engineering goggle mogs without needing to max out engineering on four alts
looks pretty fun honestly, i love the visuals! hope to have something like a bag with flowers for herbalism
Profession rewamp definitely have potential. However with information we did get I can see it can go really wrong too.Work Orders:--- this is good addition overall - especially if previous expansion stuff is added to it. Would love if they added regular option to AH to make requests for anything "Request Market"--- danger here may be no-lifers monopolizing too much of server requests - there need to be something to prevent thatiLvl of crafted gear - gear crafted by profession NEED to be at least partially competetive with M+ and/or Raid - if it isn't most of this rewamp would be waste of devs time - that competetive gear can be crafted from raid/M+/rated PvP mats dropsMaterial and Crafted item quality - this is where it can go wrong - stronger effect it have more danger there is
The crafting update sounds great, bringing Profession back to their original status of importance, when they actually mattered and players were actually excited to do them. The only minus is that they discarded the uniqueness of having a certain profession, by making all crafted soulbound items tradeable. You should be able to have something unique to your profession that only those versed in said profession can obtain and use.Besides this aspect, it's a good step forward.
