For me it was on my druid, I was running molten core for the first time, and it was just a guild warm-up run for the tbc raiding that was going to follow in the next few weeks (People were still leveling, and it was only about 2 weeks after the TBC Release, so we couldn't get enough for kara just yet) So we got a bunch of the mid levels and a few 70's and ran molten core. I was in it for fun, but really stoked when Fire Runed Grimoire dropped, it made me feel real fuzzy inside because it was my first raiding epic, and I had never beaten an encounter and gotten any loot as usually I don't have time to raid because of my busy schedule. Needless to say I was glad to experience both Molten Core and some good loot from there as well. Of course I replaced it quickly but I kept it until the recent Wrath of the Lich King release when I was forced to clear out my bank to make space for the new stuff. Who knew purple pixels could have sentimental value!
one of the most epic times was on the weekly fishing contest, the contest just started and no one was next to me, there where 2 schools of tastyfish side by side. after i fished one and went the the 2nd pool, the first respawned. after i fished up the 2nd poll and went back to the first spot, the other respawned again, this kept of happening until i had 27 / 40 tasty fish within the first 7-8 min, most of the lines cast landed in the pool and didn't even take 1/2 the channel time to get a bite. then i had to finally roam around for the fish, I ended up winning the contest within 16 min after it started, it being my 2nd win for the trinket. This was epic for myself cause of all the times i did the fishing contest, the was the quickest i ever seen, 2nd quickest was 19 min.
My most epickest drop ever was the Lei of Lilies from one of those damn skeletons on Sorrow Hill, while grinding my warrior from 50-54 :P

Getting Blinkstrike while farming elementals on the elemental plateau in Nagrand.
I have to say, the most epic loot drop I got was shortly after I hit 60 in Classic WoW. I was invited to a PuG Ony and the Rogue T2 helm dropped. There were 6 rogues in the raid, and I won the helm with a roll of 100.
Today was an epic day for me. I manged to get my Staff of the Plague Beast and my friend got his Demise off the same boss :)
Yes I am boring.Back in vanilla wow I was questing over in Felwood and out of the blue Glowing Brightwood Staff dropped for me. I didn't even see it at first as I had autoloot on. I just happened to glance at my chat window window and was like wtf is with the purple text! I couldn't use it myself but I happened to have a good warlock friend that could . We miss you Kanubee!
If you want a tale of the most epic loot I've ever gotten. You really need to listen to my short story of how I decided that I wanted to level my fishing to 310 to be able to be able to do the Burning Crusade fishing daily (or at least manageable enough where the fishes don't run). My goal was to get a Toothy's Bucket as a pet. I've never gotten one ever since until this day. Been over 5 months of fishing nearly everyday. Nothing.Honestly, I couldn't ask for more because the very second day of doing the fishing daily. Lady luck patted my back and said, "Here you go." And voila...! A The 2 Ring came out of the Bag of Fishing Treasures.Don't tell me that is epic. All that time invested sitting around fishing hours upon hours was worth it after all. I could easily say 99.9998% of the wow population will never ever get one of these on their own from the fishing dailiy. I am proud to say, I was one of the ones who were fortunate enough to obtain one through the daily quest.Or perhaps, Sauron had an "eye" on me? *laughs*
