When I fished up my Mr. Pinchy.
After nearly a month of attempts on Lady V in SSC, and having got all my other pieces of T5, Oh how sweet it was to finally see those beautiful words pop across my screen: "Lady Vashj has been defeated." And behold! To the victor go the spoils.

Well this is probably going to sound insignificant, but the most epic thing I've ever found was a Maine Coon (now Black Tabby) on the alliance AH. This was well before the name change, and well before they introduced that new mob with a 19% drop chance. When I got it, it would have taken a horde hours on end to farm (the only mobs had less .01% drop chance), and the fact that I nicked it off the alliance AH for about 70 gold (at the time was about middle of the road b/c it was before inflation) made it all the more sweet.I love that kitty ^_^ (I also got it duplicated when they patched in 3.0 and sent everyone doubles of pets and mounts, so now 2 of my alliance guys have it!) =DTRULY EPIC . . . . (at least for me) >_<
While farming mats in Nether Storm I was attacked by a patrolling serpent that dropped the leggings of beast mastery.
It wasn't so much of an epic drop but an epic journey to have my Druid go through the Cenarion Circle faction grind in order to get the coveted Mace of Unending Life to complete my three piece set. Due to sever lack of feral itemization at the time, the Mace was one of a few maces available for feral players and the only one that wasn't a random drop. I slaved day in and day out in the Silithus desert wiping out cultist after cultist for twilight texts and convincing my guild to do "just one more" boss summon for reputation gains. After two and a half long disheartening months, I did what only a select few Druids on my server has done and reached Exalted with Cenarion Circle and received the Mace of Unending Life. For the first time in my Druid's career, i felt *powerful*. I guarded choke points in Alterac Valley, warded off dozens of horde players from capturing the Arathi Stables, and i was a purple thunderbolt with a flag tied to it's back in Warsong Gulch. Life was great.Despite my Mace's current state of obsolescence, it shall forever hold a place in my bank as a testament of the time i spent in Silithus and the time i spent with my friends to get such a reward.
The most epic loot I received dropped for me back when Stratholme was a raid, and I, like other paladins, was just an inferior healer. My guild had just downed Baron Rivendare. The corpse was looted and there it was... The Runeblade of Baron Rivendare. Every warrior rolled need right away... arms, fury, prot. Their main spec didn't matter.... so why should mine? NEED! I won the roll for the epic sword and instantly hearthed to IF to respec retribution. I hit up the battle grounds every day with my new sword... schooling Horde... or at least trying. However the sword became a curse as every low level alliance strolled up to me to ask "where did you get that sword?" The Runeblade of Baron Rivendare.... I think it might have dropped off BARON RIVENDARE! Tired of telling everyone that it dropped off a murlock, I soon replaced it with The Unstoppable Force... but Baron's sword will always be my most epic loot.
Mine must have been back pre-Bc when I was solo farming Baron, Thou I never did get his mount after god knows how many painfully long runs I did get his http://www.cuckhead.com/?item=13505 . Alas my druid couldn't use it but at least I got something from him.
I spent almost 2 weeks looking for Heavens Light and waiting for it to drop. Then found 2 on Ah ,an hour after that had it drop from a ogre in feralas.I was so happy and couldnt wait to ues it,went to equip and .............what an Epic Idiot moment when i relize i have 2 already.Man i should have waited.By far my Heavans Light was an Epic moment for me.
My most epic loot drop has to be Old Ironjaw -- it took me forever to fish him up! On my blood elf priest!
Probably the most epic item... battle... test of skill... was earning my Rhok'delar bow. It started of course, with the Ancient Petrified Leaf from Executus' chest. All the priests and hunters were dying to see which it would be on our first kill. I held my breath and there it was! I thought that was the most epic moment/item I could imagine until I started the questline and starting fighting the demons with the support of my guild and friends. Each battle felt epic and a failure left me with butterflies while I awaited the spawn timer to retry. I expected Artorius to give me the most trouble so I saved him for last. I had a group of my friends with me to clear a path and kite mobs away. I'd failed once before (at 1% no less!) and had spent the respawn timer practicing on bears and chimaeras to perfect my strategy. Suddenly there he was, and the battle was on! After a few close calls, some luck, and I hope some skill, I had him on the road. I knew I had him, my heart was in my throat as I ran and jumped and fired, and I finally heard his death rattle. Shaking, I picked up his disgusting head and could have kissed it. My ragtag group of priest, paladin, druid, and rogue accompanied me to the turn-in so I could brandish my hard-won bow. It was the most exhilarating, truly epic feeling I've had playing this game and I've been playing since the servers went live. In four years, nothing yet has beat it.
Definitely and will always be Muckbreath the baby crocolisk from that fishing daily outside Shatt.
