My first most epic item was Sul'thraze the lasher i remember getting those two blades was a total wreckwith all the copetition but was so worth it ...
I would have to say my most epic loot I ever got was when I got a piece of Tier 1 out of Molten Core Pre-BC. As soon as I got it I realized that was born to be a raider and I still am to do this day.
The most epic drop for me was my first epic.Everyone I knew was so bent on grinding to 70 quickly and raiding and I was just working on all of my skills and some decent gear for leveling.I had gotten a couple of pieces of the Gladiator set and was trying for the rest and one day the chest dropped for me and I was so happy. I'd tried for so long to get it and to see it finally drop was so satisfying. I still have it in my bank to this day and will keep it on my character until 80 and beyond. :)
Most Epic loot that has ever dropped may just be when I first raided MC.It was my first raid, I hit 60 that night and they were already at Majordomo Executus. There was only 38 people and I happened to be the only druid that night. (I felt pampered! There was 4 others in the guild lol)So anyway, took 2 attempts to get the Majordomo down and when the chest appeared I had no idea what loot dropped from where but to my utter beliefs there popped a Finkle's Lava Dredger! I was the only person in the raid that could use it (as everyone else was geared out as is) so it went directly to me, set me back a ton of DKP that i didnt have, but oh well! ^_^Then, to the big kahuna! Ragnaros! It would be the first time the guild has ever taken him down, and I was just proud to be there! So we put in 2 hours on that fight alone and on the last attempt before we all had to go for the night we finally killed him. We screenshotted the kill, made forum posts and I was shocked to have the Stormrage Leggaurds! I was the first druid in my guild to get them!First and Best raiding experience and has kept me in the raiding lifestyle for 3 years now =D
The most epic loot that I received was Assassin's Blade from SFK.I had just hit level 40 before the mount cost was lowered, but I only had around 2-3 gold. After viewing many options, I decided to farm SFK for something, anything, that would drop. Luckily, I did not have to farm long. It dropped in the courtyard on my second run (I didn't know how truly lucky I was at the time). I paid a friend to sell it, and nothing else in WoW has made me happier than when my friend triumphantly whispered that he had sold the Assassin's Blade for 250g. This paid for my mount, the rest of his mount loan off from a real life friend, and also gave me enough gold to bring down the cost of another alt's mount (who was 23 and quickly rising).
Easily, most epic loot drop, was when I purchased my Reins of the Winterspring Frostsaber, after farming reputation for almost 6 months to reach exalted.
Conversation with another Alliance member in Orgrimmar RIGHT after I arrived at the fishin' hole.Me: "Hey, How long have you been farming for Old Crafty?"Other Guy: "About six hours. About to call it quits though I've been corpse camped a little bit and I'm kinda frustrated."Me: *casts out line* "Wow that sucks, guess they're being grumpy. Sorry man."You receive: Other Guy: "......What...?"Me: "=D" *hearth*Other Guy Whispers: "I hate you so much right now."I felt sorry for the guy, but that was the most epic win I've ever experienced.
My most epic drop was probably the totem off Maiden of Virtue in Kara. I lost count of how may times I downed her and it wasn't there, and how many time other people killed her and told me it was too bad I wasn't there because it dropped. :)
My most EPIC moment in WoW was way back when. Keyloggers were just starting to appear, and I did not know about them then. Well I got a keylogger and the people stole all my gold and gear. That isn't the epic part. Well I put in a petition to get all my gear back. I log on and everyone was sending me tells like crazy, how did you get on GM island? I go, I wasn't even playing today. Well I checked my alchemy skill, because the people that stole my account got rid of the skill and trained enchanting, because you could DE anything you wanted back then. So I checked my alchemy list and saw that I had some new recipes that I never had before. I had the Alchemist's Stone on my list. so I gathered all the mats for it, which was 8 of every essence besides shadow. That night I was in Black Wing Lair, which had an alchemist table, which the trinket had to be made at. So 39 other people saw that I looted this item and got so mad at me. I told them my story and they just laughed. Then when the Burning Crusade came out they upgraded my trinket for me for free, was very nice!
Nat Pagle's Fish Terminator. Flavor text of awesomeness and the first staff that just had nothing but feral stats.
The most epic item I have acquired is the Shield of the Void. I don't consider it epic because of it's stats or rarity, but rather the amazing boss battle it took to receive it. Quite a while back as a 64 protection paladin I ventured into the Mana Tombs with a ragtag group of adventurers. It was amazing that we even had a chance of fighting this boss considering the trouble we had with the couple of trash pulls beforehand. I was apprehensive towards pulling the huge shadowy elemental because of our dysfunctional group, but I knew that it dropped a shield that I could use and this was motivation enough for me to finally smack Pandemonius with Avenger's Shield. After a few minutes with the boss, the group was clearly hurting. Everyone was low on HP and our healer was running out of mana quickly. It was at about 15% that everyone started dropping: first the priest and then the DPS, leaving me the last man still fighting. With about 10% to go I popped Divine Shield, and then at 5% I used Lay on Hands. In an amazing turn of events, with both Pandemonius and I at a sliver of health, I used Hammer of Wrath in midair (due to being knocked back) and defeated him.Receiving the Shield of the Void added a whole 'nother level of awesomeness to an already sweet victory.
my most Epic Drop... god thats gonna be the Headless horseaman mount... i was doing it every day almost 7 times a day and i wasnt even looking for the mount... its was for the pet... then in one of my runs a rogue wanted to tank him! i was like welll if he die i just pick him out... then my mon called me and i said BrB but they summoned it... when i come back again we got the rogue dead and a hunter dead it was just me a healer and a mage with out mana the healer was tanking him and healing himself at same time i taunted him and we healer, mage and me started to dps everyone in melee! xD but we made it go down till he summon his adds at that time i aoe them with my thunder clap and at same time we where killing the head god then the head bugged or something with could no see it! but with Tab i managed to target him and kill him them we rez the dead players and we looted when we looted the loot was not showing! we was like omg wtf! i tried to loot him and the dorp showed it was the ring(caster),helm(plate),pet.... i roll on all of then faster that i could not see that the mount was on the list i standed up of my chair and closed my eyes when i opened then i saw the mount on the roll list and i was like omg! o.O i quickly hited the need then i just run to my room i dont wanted to see the rolls... cuz i dont know... when i came back i win the pet and the mount i was almost crying! i was so so so happy that i forget to loot the pet! hahaha! thats my epic experience XD a wall of text xD
Okay here we go. Back when Magister's Terrace first came out I remember everyone trying to get through the regular version to get keyed for the heroic version. No one on the Isle had a clue about what the bosses did, how each pull should be CC'd, etc. It was chaos and it was awesome. Every time a new group would be successful and progress past another boss or hard trash pull, everyone would know about it. It was so exciting, the rush from trying to be the first to clear normal and attempt the heroic was so intense. I'm sure at least one person knows the feeling. It's just like your guild finally downing that tough boss or finally getting that amazing epic you've been after for weeks. It's exhilarating.Anyways, after a couple of days people started getting through heroic without too much trouble. New loot that no one knew dropped starting popping up, like that Orb or the Mount or the 20 slot bag. And then someone in Trade linked the most awesome trinket ever. Yes, the Commendation of Kael'thas. I was in love right then and decided I HAD to have this trinket. I got a set group together with some friends and we ran H MgT everyday we could. We all wanted something, either the Shard of Contempt, the orb, the bag or the mount. But of course the only thing I wanted, the tanking trinket, would never drop. That boss was no real cakewalk either, it was so easy to wipe on her. And every time we fought I was so excited, ready for that trinket. I would tell myself, "Yes, today is the day. She's going to drop it right now." No trinket. The trinket never dropped for me. A lot of people I knew had it and they weren't afraid to link it to me or tell me to inspect their gear. I pretty much gave up hope on it dropping, but we still went as much as possible. We farmed that heroic for several more MONTHS with no luck for me. At this point all 5 of us were all at least 4/5 T6, which made Heroic Magister's Terrace a cakewalk. So much so that this one time when we were about to pull the 3rd boss(The one that drops the trinkets) we weren't paying attention at all and I accidentally feared too early, causing the shaman add to run into a group of mobs in the back that we skipped. But no problem, we were a T6 group, we could handle this.It was a good thing I stayed in my full tank gear this time, instead of switching to dps gear. I was taking a LOT of damage from the boss and her ads + the new group. We had forgotten to take care of a Magister in the back, the ones that spam frostbolts and give themselves a buff that increases cast speeds. So this mob looked like a Frostbolt machine gun. There were so many frostbolts, sheep bombs, blizzards, DoT's and fears. This turned into a 5 man Illidan attempt. After the chaos was over and the fight was back to a more normal attempt, there was only me(tank), the holy priest and the mage left. We still had the Fury warrior, resto Shammy and the Rogue ads alive. As you know none of these mobs have any real aggro tables so the fight is all about the CC and DPS of the group. Anyways, the mage was low on hp blasting away at the Rogue. I was doing my best to help DPS/stun/tank everything off the mage while the priest was trying to heal with no mana and the shaman on him. This looked like it was either a wipe or it was going to be very very close. Vent was a mess of 5 people trying to save the attempt. TAUNT! FEAR! SHEEP! SHIELD! POT! Oh it was intense. When we finally killed the rogue and started on the fury warrior things were looking up. Both my party members were oom and doing their best to dps/heal while I slowly beat away at the shaman, interrupting heals etc. "We got this" was the general mindset. But that changed when the fury warrior suddenly turn on the mage and destroyed him, which left a tank and a soft cloth healer with low hp and no mana to fight a 40% hp fury warrior ad and a 100% hp shaman. We did our best but I couldn't keep them both off the priest for long and he quickly died. So that left me, protection warrior that had about 14k hp left. I feared the shaman and did the best any prot warrior in tank gear can do to "nuke" an ad. My heart was pounding and I could feel a cold sweat starting as I watched my health slowly tick away as I got the warrior down to 10%...9%.....5% ...1% and the shamans fear wore off, I could see him casting a heal from the back. I couldn't have that, 1 shield slam crit for 3k was all it took to finish that warrior off. I could feel a wave of relief wash over me as I ran to the shaman to try to finish him off alone. My party members were yelling all sorts of cheers and advice in vent. Everyone was clearly excited that I could take him down. I had 4k hp left, the shaman had 80% hp. Kill the new totem, interrupt the heal, stun him, pot, trinkets...I did all I could to survive and keep beating away at his health. I could see all the attacks that I would Dodge, Parry, Block, Miss...each attack I saw that didn't hurt me made me more excited. I practically went tunnel vision on my monitor doing all I could to outlast this elite. Last Stand, Shield Wall, fear and bandage, I had done everything already. It was down to me at ~800hp and the elite at about 10%. I was popping every skill I had to help me survive/kill him faster. Demoralizing shout, sunders, tclap, concussion blow even disarm. I was still on an amazing avoidance streak, I could probably survive 1 more attack before dying. Shaman was at 2% and there it was. I took ~700 damage. Vent was screaming KILL IT! KILL HIM GOGOGOGGO! I'm sitting at about 80hp about to lose my mind, spamming everything I could that did damage. Shield Slam crits. Shaman dies, sparklies hover above the Priestess. YES! GOOD JOB! OMG THAT WAS EPIC! Vent nearly blew my headset out from the spam lol. I had to wait patiently for all of them to run back, which was a good time for me to finally breath after pulling that off. I waited for someone else to loot the boss, expecting another caster trinket or something no one needed. But there it was...the tanking trinket I had sought after for so long. YES YES YES! That was the most epic, heartpounding, nerve racking and epic battle for the most epicly earned piece of loot ever for me. ^_^Hopefully this wasn't too boring, a little long I guess(Sorry =p).
