The most epic drop I've ever acquired was the Bulge-Concealing Breastplate. I never had to worry about man-breasts ever again. Thanks, Bulge-Concealing Breastplate.
My most epic loot was my Tier 2 Belt off of Razorgore pre-BC. It was our first attempt inside of BWL ever. Everyone had read up on the fight except a trial recruit.Long story short: curiosity got the best of him.He summoned his Eye of Kilrogg (while everyone was preparing for the battle) and went up to where the Controller Orb was and started the fight. So we calmly proceed to fight. One of our dragon kiters (a warrior) died 3/4 the way through and a mage decided to try his hand, he got them under control. And with all the panic heals on the mage, the second kiter died. Sadly we had like 6 eggs left : /. Then suddenly the mage speeds across the floor and magically gains control of the dragons. 'WHO BRINGS SPEED POTS TO RAIDS?' was the first thing heard over vent. Our kiting healers were going OOM because of the damage the mage was taking so someone quickly explains the strategy of having the mage run to a corner, getting DIed, letting them walk a few feet away and then clicking it off. Suprisingly enough it worked perfectly, we had time for healers to get him up before they made it back to him. A few seconds later the eggs were gone and we killed him.
I would have to say my most epic WoW loot drop was when I got my Hood Of Hexing on my mage from Hexlord Malacrass in ZA. It had to be my 50th time running ZA. I was running groups left and right every 3 days in hope that it would drop. Finally, it dropped and luckily the other caster in the group already had it. It was my lucky day, and I put 3 epic gems in it. That was my most EPIC loot drop ever in my WoW career.
I'm going to tell you a tale of a time long, long ago...well, a few years, but still, it feels long.My most epic loot drop ever was the Staff of Dominance from Golemagg in Molten Core. But first...a little backstory.I was one of the more under-geared mages in the guild - I still had the staff from ZF at the time. But every night, before the raid began, I would look through atlas loot, thinking to myself "I will get that Staff of Dominance, and I won't spend any DKP before I do."More than a few raids had gone by, and I had no luck so far. I had DKP accumulated to the point beyond anyone else in the guild. But I stuck to my word - I passed on everything - Arcanist, various rings and necklaces, even an Azuresong Mageblade all went to the other players. It was yet another night raiding Molten Core, and I figured, "enough is enough, if Golemagg doesn't drop my staff, I'm taking every bit of loot that I can get." So my guild clears MC - nothing particularly interesting happens. We get to Golemagg, and kill him...silence. My guildmaster didn't say a word...all I saw, in the chat box, was...You receive loot: .
My most epic loot ever? Hard to say but I would have to pick Burrowing Shovel. I remember hearing about ti from a friend, I loved the look of it and I had to have it. Since it only dropped from a rare I spent a few days grinding for this shovel. And on my 3rd day when was about to take another break I saw the Master Digger spawn. I killed him and there it was! Woot! Then the next day I saw it in the AH.:/
I'd have to say the best lewt I've gotten so far was the rare world drop Super Simian Sphere. I was in Caverns of Time: Culling of Stratome and just randomly on trash it dropped. I had no clue what it did but I wanted it! After i nit need i closed my eyes and hoped I got it. Then when i reopened I was so glad to see I won! Then the second I got out of the instance I looked up what it did and I thought it was pretty awesome!
I'd have to say that the best and most epic thing to ever happen to me would be the time i'm fighting the pirates in Tanaris the ones just east of the caverns of time.... any way i was doing the quest where you have to kill a certain amount of them and so on. while i was there, there happend to be a druid that was doing the same thing. we grouped and kept going. all of a sudden an epic one handed mace drops ( it's so rare that i couldn't even find it on wow head) any ways both of os overly excited we both "need" it and I won... he said that it was fair and we kept going (what a good sport) but not more then 2 kills later Blue shoulders drop. once again we both need and i won those, he yelled at me and said something nasty but man i made out with like 700 gold...
My most epic piece of loot was from pre-Burning Crusade, it was when I raided MC 6 nights a week with my guild, Tenebris, on Ursin. I had 7/8 pieces of my Judgement armor on my paladin and it took me a year and a half of raiding to get my Tier 2 Judgement leggings. When they finally dropped, I heard 40+ people on vent suddenly screaming "Woot! Go Bob!" Truly an epic loot experience.(And yes, I cried a bit.)
My most EPIC loot ever was Aldori Legacy Defender. From the moment I first saw this item I knew I HAD to have it.So this is the story of a Warrior, who said he was a "Tank for Life":After at least 15 guild runs and 15-20 PuGs I was so heartbroken that I decided to end the agony and went Arms for the whole summer.4 months passed and I decided to run some dungeons as Prot again before WotLK hit the shelves. Then one day a guildie asks me if I want to tank a Gruuls. I was like "meh...w/e...my shield won't drop anyhow but sure"So we go there, and you know what happens? The FREAKING THING DROPS.I was literally singing songs in Vent and dancing and calling my gf =]I ritualized the day I was to get this shield so bad that I had 5 Nether Vortexes sitting in my bank to craft my Blazefury the same day I got my Aldori. I also had mats to enchant my Blazefury on this same day. Nevertheless, I also obviously had my gem and my enchant for my shield waiting as well...PS. To understand the scale of this, you have to see how it feels like to PuG 24 other players from Trade Chat just to be able to go to a boss and try your luck. Remember that you are asking the gear of every person, so you need to evaluate at least 50 people assuming 50% are geared well (generally much worse). Then you need to take these people and explain them a boss fight from scratch since 10 of them never did it. Oh, not only do you need to explain Gruul, but also you need to explain HKM. On top of that, you need to give healing assingments, tanking assingments, DPS placement and call out stuff in Vent. Not fun...
