Wouldn't it be really cool for this glorious and badass weapon to be available for paladin ?
Neat looking model. Bit upset they are re-using Ashbringers model style though. After all it went to Players and then was 'destroyed/drained' of its power/use. We still never gave up the blade though. Wouldnt ming maybe having a quest where paladins re-unite him with the drained blade.Class quests please come back!
Everyone be like "hE cAn"T hAvE iT" or IT RUINS THE CANONYah ORRRR when he died he went to the bone guys and was like "hey i used to have this totally baller sword could you like..." and they were all "We gotchu fam" and made him his own shadowlands boney ashbringer sword. When you die i highly doubt that your material objects suddenly appear with you. Or maybe they do in the whole "it's the afterlife so who cares here's a camaro" sense.
I personally would like to have this skin "corrupted" Ashbringer on my Death knight. It would match the T19 mythic set nicely.
Hopefully we will be able to get it as a transmog <3
Odd theory. We drained Ashbringer's power, but Ashbringer itself was a naaru piece or something, right? Even as an item, it's "soul" might end up in Maldraxxis as a powerful weapon and reunited with one of its most powerful wielders.Makes me wonder about Aluneth and Skull of the Man'ari...
Important question here: can we have it for xmog too? :smiley face:
It is most likely, not THE ashbringer, but might just be due to his strong connection to the blade, he was able to make a sort of spectral version of the blade.
I wonder what this could mean for Arthas.
"Love" that the OG wielder of the Ashbringer that was willing to kill himself just to destroy the undead has to sit here allied with just another version of the undead and his prized weapon corrupted again
Not surprising, Alleria was using Thas'dorah-lookalike back in Legion, probably just a maldraxxi sword forged to look like his blade is all
It's obviously not the actual ashbringer but somehow he earned or created a weapon similar to the one he had in life. Don't think that the same rules and restrictions the living have exist in the Shadowlands for the dead.
Are paladins able to get this awesome looking weapon? If not, that would just be lame.
These are some of the Ashbringer variants available to players 'yet':

I guess after the depletion of our artifact weapons in legion, story-wise, we were supposed to throw them away or something? I never threw away my weapons because they serve as a memento from an era where my class was fun to play...
