It felt WAY more rewarding to sit my alt in Ulduar for 4 hours last night than it would have to do CN on Normal. That's a problem.
Gearings system in PVE suck hard. And those legendaries crafting also suck hard. On my server mail legenaries 235 lvl cost damn 170 k of gold. . .
When everyone says gearing in Shadowlands is a pretty bad system comparing to Legion or BfA, trust me, or better trust us, thats true. Gearing from mythic+ is HORRIFIC, wdym spammable +15s, who spams +15? MDI people? Most majority of players don't even do +14 weekly. M+ never had lockouts, you can't call that NOW a strength. There are people, including me, and i mean A LOT more that only love doing m+, now we can't even do that to gear up. They even lessen the number of obtainable items from keys. We all want all these 3 gearing ways to be on par. By that i mean, not with mythic raid ilvls or high end PvP where some people don't even know what its been done to them. We all want that weekly high ilvl item, but hell, change something to gearing. But cross my heart, been in a raid of 15 players, EXACTLY 2/3/10, killed Inerva and dropped ONE item. And some other bosses dropped a MAXIMUM of 2 items. Whereas depleted keys drop 1 item and intime keys drop a maximum of 2 items until +16. There is not an upgrading system like PVP gearing has got. PLEASE LISTEN TO PEOPLE, THE GAME ATE MY DAMN LIFE. Sorry. Fix something.
PvP gearing feels good because it's targeted, it feels good because even though it's timegated, you know you'll eventually get all your gear and it's a matter of time.PvE needs the same treatment, maybe Blizz is getting that message too?
This article suggest everyone and their brother will have sire on farm in mythic. Sorry but saying "you cannot get 233 weapons from m+, only raid" is silly. How many people will clear the raid on mythic? And if they do, how late will it happen?
It often comes down to the same issue. If you're a player that is only focused on CONTENT A, you'll feel terrible if people that mainly do CONTENT B, and will only do CONTENT A once or week or less still perform better in CONTENT A than you simply because the gear they get is better, whether or not they're good at CONTENT A: It's especially the case now with M+, but is just as bad if people that only want to raid are forced to do M+ so they can properly raid (or PvP).Personally, I think the only feasable solution would be to add a flat ilvl boost to items in the content where you get them. You'd still be able to use M+ loot in raid or vice-versa, but raiding would no longer be mandatory for M+ (still usefull, since some unique item there may be better and worth a small Ilvl loss). You'd still get an edge by doing other content, but right now, it really feels like you're wasting your time if you're not doing the "meta" gearing method.

Gearing needed to be slowed down, they knew it and did it. People are naturally not happy, but imo it was needed. You could gear up way to fast through M+ in BfA and Legion due to the fact they are spammable. Maybe the solution is to not lower drop rates but to lockout M+ to prevent spamming, would that feel better? Honestly for me gearing feels fine, I am up over 200 item level already and getting content done. I do play ALL end game content however maybe that is why I am gearing faster?
The gearing system currently is garbage.I wish blizzard would stop forcing PVE players to do PVP.Had to do it in BFA for the best PVE azerite essences, and now we have to do it again for the best PVE gear.
I feel like a great solution to make Mythic+ gearing viable for players who only want to take part in that content without making it superior to and not interfere with progress raiding would be by increasing the end-of-dungeon reward item level over time.Example:Using current raid item level values I would do something like this
I like the idea of less loot but as someone who plays my class to the fullest, this actually sucks quite a bit. While I can get gear for raid settings BiS my offspec or dungeon set suffer greatly. It feels like the Spec Unfriendlyness of Legion again.
Raiders do this, PVPers do that, dungeoneers do that other thing... and us people who don't want to do either of those things because they're stressful just do the covenant story and spend some anima to upgrade the covenant armor to 190.
