ofc she loves himthat's been canon for 100 years now
Hes like the Dolores Umbridge of wow for me. Complex, well acted, decently written, but my god how much I want to bash his face in with a brick.
I've always loved Nathanos. The first time I met him was as a Forsaken Priest at the Marris Stead where he was hilariously grumpy giving me things to do that he was sure I would fail at. When my Human Paladin was sent to kill The Blightcaller, I refused and told the Regent to do his own dirty work! I guess i'm just one of those people who understand and like grumpy humor. In any event, thanks for letting me know where Nathanos ended up. I'm sure his Lady will find him in the Maw and together they will complete her task there. (Honestly, I wish I could jump in and help.)
I didnt understand the hatred for him in BFA. i liked how he was different than other npcs and had a decent backstory and attitude. he wasnt just another boring quest giver and the ties to sylvanas and humans/bloodelves/undead made him stand out even more. people are so boring and like to complain about dumb things.
No matter what others say, i really enjoyed this read.
Nathanos has been one of my favorite characters since vanilla. I found him at Marris Stead and have followed him as the forsaken champion for years. He might not be the snarky illidan everyone likes, or the dad-gar everyone looks up to, but dang if he isnt a good solid char that really should get filled out a bit. His motives have literally never changed and that says alot in todays game world. I respect his complete devotion to something. He is to Sylvanas what Tyrande is to Elune.... and they are both betrayed by the ones they loved in the end.
One of the most annoying parts of Nathanos, beyond seemingly being a self insert, is they somehow made some random ass forsaken stronger than those that have killed literal Gods in the universe.
I think it would be interesting if after Tyrande killed Nathanos he was resurrected by the light instead of going to the maw. He would turn up again in a similar situation Calia is in and perhaps join her in forming a new future for the undead.
I loved his snarky attitude and his quips, it was a tonic to the usual one dimensional do-gooder characters we usually meet. RIP Nathanos you rotten, grumpy bag of bones.
Even though I can't stand Sylvanas and Nathanos anymore, this was a very interesting read. Thank you for posting it.
I completely forgot about this character
Hey could we get all these articles moved to a new category called "Literature" or something, vs. "Live"? Then all articles on non-in-game media could go there. In fact, maybe "Media" instead of "Literature" if that's more appropriate.
God, I hate him. Even more, having read this.
I actually liked that he hated us, it's so refreshing compared to the massive amount of characters that fawn over us.
