It is not that simple. For example, if you want every mount, pet and toy, but are not interested in cosmetics, you will have some buildings on rank 3 anyway. For example, you need Anima conductor at rank 3 for Necrolords anyway, you need the mirror portals at rank 3 for Venthyr and you need the Queen's garden at rank 5 for Night fae. So you will always have some buildings at rank 3 anyway and will only need to calculate the difference for the remaining buildings. The only building that is never necessary is a mission table above rank 1.For me, I already had a full Night fae sanctum when the patch dropped (all rank 3/5), but my Night fae was nearly finished with farming Anima anyway. I had a fresh Venthyr at this point with no building at all, but I calculated that raising all buildings to rank 3 rather than only the necessary is 2 days slower for me, but that is an investment for patch 9.1 that is absolutely fine.
Still a pain when one has numerous alts to try and level/gear them while farming anima. Seems like we need the garrison resource cache in our covenants to give us a helping hand. Especially for mount/pet collectors who want everything from all four covenants.
Somewhat unrelated question, so pardon me. But does anybody know if you retain the anima buff if you transfer covenant after unlocking all buildings at rank 3 etc?
I see 12 world quests at rank 3 NF, showing me potential earnings of 2546 anima with War Mode on. That doesn't include the abilty to get more anima from treasures, daily quests and rares, LFR, PVP and any other place. This hotfix made improvements across the board if you upgraded your sanctum buildings.
yes, I totally aggree with you. I dont understand, why arent they make these achivements and anima boosts accountwide. If you have only one or two main chars, it is surely less painfull swaping covenents and get the visual collect suff easier. ANDIf you have several alts (I have alts of each class one-but dont play them all at the same time, mostly during the content drought between patches) you have to invest as much time with alts like with your main. I mean, I know this slight content drought till the new patch will arrive might be a chance to do the farming, but common, it is not so fun, if you do the WQ the hundred time and you get more anima than from a 30-40 min. myth+10 run. (another problem for me is the lack of variaty of world quests. But to rant about that topic does not fit in this comment section)
Well, more useless currency for none existent character progression.
I mean... what else are you gonna spend anima on? That crappy back item? I'd have upgraded my buildings regardless of the anima perk
If you would have upgraded everything except the mission table anyway (since, let's face it, ranks 2 and 3 are of minimal value on their own) the math obviously becomes drastically more favorable.
These calculations are $h# and very wrong, especially for new players.1. The goal* of the <Player> is (attention) to build 4 buildings and upgrade them as much as possible.2. The player's goal is NOT to collect a $h tons of anima, open the 'Currency' tab and make a screenshot to hang over the bed.3. Blizzard** made this whole process easier. (Player -> 4 maximum leveled buildings in his covenant) by gradually increasing the collected anima as the player progresses. (On level 2, quests with 210 anima appear - and (:O) there are more quests with anima in general - e.g. in the case of forest fairies, at Mr. Mushroom we have now 2 daily quests with 150 anima + each).4. I recommend reading it aloud and twice and if we still have problems, you can ask someone to read it for you.*In general, I do not defend Blizz, nor add more sense to building these structures in covenant - however, when I see such mediocre clickbaits on the wowohead, I feel cold. **he was not obliged to do so - because it is also one of the 'progressions' in the given expansion pack. Stay Frosty
If you do the math, unless the anima gains in 9.1 are exponential in some capacity, and given we are going to get EVEN MORE transmog from the patch to pay with anima (and presumably mount recolors, maybe weapons too!), it's literally going to take at least 2 years to get everything for just one character
do not forget that running your command table 3+ times a day you will run through your stash. my followers are currently at or near level 50, all sanctum upgrades done, mount purchased, and next we have the cosmetics. but i have backed off my daily farm to work on an alt and start all over again.
they should have allowed upgrading your buildings as patches arrives opposed to all at once... would have been better. Using the excess anima power on the soulbind tree and cosmetic side.
Standard mobile game.Of yeah, it's wow, I forgot.
