As a roleplayer, I hope that more testing is done on this and that they make it a true racial capital city. Most kaldorei I come across are traditionalists and would scorn the idea of fraternizing with the Horde. The purpose (and promise from the devs) of the night elves getting a new capital is defeated otherwise. Teldrassil was a world tree, yet Horde were not allowed there. There can be plenty of other cities for neutral/cross-faction RP fans to enjoy.
This is ^&*!@IC. Who the hell is writing this crap?Welcome horde, our favorite gencidal maniacs. You killed 80% of our people but no biggy. You are welcome in our town which you had NOTHING to do to with. You simply defended World Tree because you knew if Fyrakk get's his grabby proto dragon hands on, it will mean your end. But no matter, let's eat and drink and feast. Btw, there is some Night Elf new tabards, cloacks and shoulders you can buyJesus Christ what this game has turned into
Elves may forgive, but they don't forget.
We really feel that they are trying as best they can to please everyone with NPC neutrality and the debuff for the Horde, but that does not take away from the fact that the city is accessible to everyone and that it is not a good thing. This takes away some of the “racial capital” aspect that Blizzard seems to want to put in place. Already the "city" is too small and it is located at the other end of Azeroth from Kalimdor...There are also some horde players who don't care about Amidrassil but just come to complain about Kaldorei players because they want to annoy other players.
All recent things about world trees considered, yeah makes sense why they'd be wary. It's a nice touch if nothing else.
Do people seem to conveniently forget that, I'm gonna speak RP lore here, that much of the Horde who weren't loyal to Sylvanas were potentially horrified by what started the Fourth War to begin with? They basically had their arm twisted into carrying out that order. Sylvanas had the power, and the ability to make dissenters suffer a fate worse than death. Those who defied, were put to the sword, and funneled straight into the Maw to suffer untold, and unjust, punishment. Those Horde who willingly followed Sylvanas's order should be the ones to be wary of. Those who were forced to, now have to watch their backs and watch the shadows. Even in a place where they put in the effort to give the Kaldorei a new home. I'm an Alliance player, but I sympathize with the Horde in this context. The Kaldorei need to know that much of the Horde had no choice but to do what they did, lest they be put to death and sent to Hell, for reasons beyond their control. Also, those constantly whining and complaining, why are you still here? Go play something else if the game offends you this much.
If we have cross-faction groups, cross-faction guilds, it stands to reason that there should be cross-faction cities with a little more staying power than just the neutral hub for the Xpac.
Besides Teldrassil was an abomination and not a proper world tree. It was always cursed and its fate was always going to be bad.
