So they were going to move to London, but then couldn't because of Covid and Brexit? How does that work.If they could have done all of the customer support via US / remotely then why not do that to begin with?I love Blizzard games but man I wish they treated their employees with even the slightest bit of respect. They underpay them, over work them and as a thank you they're abruptly fired. It's really sad :(
What about servers? Moving to the Azure cloud?
ah yeah less support for eu players, don't touch kotick money even if its the end of the world....this company never stop to fire people, what a joke. blizzshop is direct money for kotick and friends not for the game. @#$%ing freaking sad...
Is this another office, as I thought it was in Paris?
That's how capitalism works. If you don't need people you fire them and save some money. It is indeed the only and best economic system
The majority of EU Customer support is done from an office in Cork, Ireland. Still, lots of people who now need to find work in the current pandemic. It's awful news.
Hopefully they'll also merge the EU and US forums - and in the future, manage maintenance from one place globally.
This is a full on Activision thing. Blizz stopped being Blizz long ago. That and with the last few original Blizzard personnel leaving a couple years back, I don't know why they keep insisting on calling it Blizzard Activision...just my two cents though.
Just a thing they never ever planned to move to London but Island for tax evasion. (when they fired 140+ people last year)
they still have an office in Ireland and I've heard of another one in the NetherlandsCS will probably suffer, but I doubt that it will be provided from the NA
Versaille is on the border of Paris
