What does Pay 2 Win Mean anymore? For me originally collecting mounts and all the pets was a win for me more then raiding and PvP Gear. Now you can pay people to gear you in WoW. People don't consider that a Win anymore because the post has been moved. It only counts if the gear is better then what is obtainable... Honestly I love cosmetic farming, gathering, etc... Part of that died for me in WoW because it did not feel good know there was so many things I would never obtain even outside the $30 mounts but special promo's etc that continue to expand at a really high rate.I be happy off buying an expansion every 1-2 years then paying for any kind of pass system...Either way my opinion on how I feel I'm sure most don't agree with it, but we all have our own "win" I think in the end and the content you enjoy the most.
maybe we'll get lucky and they'll go WoW P2W with D4 and lets us do a max level boost for 60$
Removing aesthetic progression so players can buy it back to monetize a game that has already been monetized by ya know selling it at full price. Scummy blizz. Scummy.
It's a live service game, it has be monetized past the initial purchase if it wants to keep going for years and cosmetics are a way to do it.
Nothing for purchase will give player power, because your item level is your player power. There will be legendary widgets that make you do more damage, take less damage, increase your experience and currency gains, but they don't increase your item level, so the game isn't pay to win. Please don't do this to us again!
Lol how can people be mad by a monetization on cosmetics, being something that is completely optional and doesn't affect your gameplay. Every company on the world should use this system (and the ones that are using it are having a huge success, just look at Riot), buy if you want, not because you have to. People are just cry babies, damn.
Here's what's gonna happen:"you can't buy items that increase player power"Game releases..."You can't buy items that increase player power but you CAN buy soul stone fragments which you then trade for items that increase player power. Technically, you can't buy player power. Teehee :^)"
This is OK imo as long as they stick to it.I don't know what a "season pass" is though. Is that something else you buy each season?
If there is ever a paid version of a battle pass that gives you faster advantages over the Free Battle Pass, then it is P2WNow if the Paid Battle Pass just gets you skins slightly faster, then it is fine, but the second they add a legendary item onto that Paid Battle Pass, it is no longer F2P and is 100% P2W/
Right after the leaks... It looks like they ended up confirming the leaks.
Honestly I'm fine whether they make it pay to win or not. As long as they don't make the game way harder without paying like mobile games...But that's me. I'm not working towards the rankings. Just want to play the game and have fun.
A freemium model in a full priced game? Guess you don't want me to buy D4 after all then Blizzard.I'll just wait for another ARPG to release and play that instead.
Only problem I see is a lack of vanity pets. I loved the convenience in D3 to have a pet grab all the gold for me. I'd like to see it carried forward to this.
Diablo 3 have cosmetic rewards every season and they don't paywall them.Seasonal passes are dangerous because they inflict FOMO, and fear is an extremely potent tool for manipulating players. And Just because some People don't mind it, it doesn't mean that everyone should accept it. And we will pay the full price for the game anyways. (=
