One thing i was noticing atm is, that you cannot mass-invite people by sorting out with ranks. You use "minimal-rank" at it invites anybody else nevertheless.
Thank you so much for this! My guild is in chaos <3 edited: CANNOT change perms for ranks by going to the old UI. Still cannot allow ranks I choose to change guild notes. A little misleading.
This post was from a user who has deleted their account.
the easiest solution to the guild toon limit is the factor that the game already recognizes essentially what toons go to what account so just allow, without disclosing the btag of the accounts for each toon in the guild of the same account, the ability for the guild window to in the background keep track of it to 1000 accounts instead of 1000 toons. it will cut down on the "chapters" that bigger guilds end up having to make due to the toon count limit.also what is the limit for the community toon/account members? specifically the ones that are in game faction communities.
The whole system could be so good, they completely messed it up.
I think Blizz wants to pretty much forget about guilds. The emphasis is clearly on Communities. They institute personal loot on everything at the same time as all of this? Yeah. They could’ve at least added a button in the default interface to take us to /guildroster. Who knows.
What the hell is the point in this if these limitations are put in place? What of guilds who have sister guilds on the other faction, or friends in other guilds/ factions, This cross-faction "No communication" thing is a waste of time, They've already broke it with technically 3 races now, as Blood Elves / Night Elves can talk to each other using Demonic (DH) and Blood Elves / Void Elves can chat to each other using the Elf language which I've forgotten then name of, Guess we can only hope these limitations are a temp thing until they can see its working, atm its just guild 2.0
You also can no longer see how many members are in your guild.
Personally I don't like this change. I get it is for the profit of the company because there are more casual players than anything. But to take guilds out of the game is a mistake. I dislike the way it looks. I don'tike the way that "comunities" are cross server. Because guilds are not. Sure if you play casually who cares. It's great for casual players but for the players who were in a guild for a raiding team etc. This makes no sence.
Nope. /guildroster does *not* allow editing of ranks like the previous guild controls. The permissions are still grouped under a single checkbox. It does, however, alleviate the player count issue and last online issue, but there's no reason for those not to be added to the new guild UI anyways.
I also cannot find the option to sort guild members by last time of log in. Which was very useful for removing super old inactive members and for checking which people didn't log in for a week so they're on a break and who's active recently (for purposes of planning any guild activity).

Honestly, given how Blizz has left BNet Communities in such a laughably-inferior state compared to Discord for so long now, we should be fully prepared to accept that this is the best we’ll ever get out of Blizz.
Well, its a new system, it is expected to evolve over time.Discord were not born ready either.
Thanks for the post! Didn't know about the /guildroster command. It is at least something. I sincerely hope they will make changes to this crappy system and at least bring the old features back. I don't understand why they take guild management options from us and make an inferior system instead. As if guilds weren't neglected enough...
This is horrible. I can understand the possible usefulness of communities, however, I'd suggest that they should be more of an additional feature, rather than trying to lump the guild and guild management in with it.
Pff. What really grinds my gears is that they moved the game menue down to the right corner. I cant for all the cheese in Swizerland adjust to it. It EFFIN annoying! Blizz pls add an in game option to put it back where it was. Yes i know there are addons but i dont want to!
Absolutely not a fan of the new guild UI. I, too, agree that blizz seems to be pushing the idea of their "community" > guilds, which is a shame. I hope they give us an option in the interface to choose to use which guild UI we want instead of forcing us to use the new one and limiting our options of who can do what within the guild structure. Not holding my breath though. They completely missed the mark on this one.
