The giant head tentacles on the mythic and elite sets ruin what might have been an interesting look, while the other versions look like Aquaman had a midlife crisis and couldn't figure out if he wanted style over substance. I'll stick to the ToS sets for transmog.BM set bonuses sound nice, but not spectacular since it just sounds like a patch's hotfix to make BM a little better. MM set bonuses sound like they might actually be pretty great since the 2p means more frequent Aimed Shots, and the 4p just sounds great for AoE. I haven't touched Survival in a while since (when I played it) it was such a horrible rotation with absolutely zero payoff, so I don't know if those set bonuses are good. Poor Survival, it's almost as bad as past incarnations of Shadow Priest. It needs love like the Feral Druid fixes we got this patch.
such an ugly set
Remove the helm and I'm thankful that the LFR set is green-ish. My hunter is snakey-themed and likes green. I might queue to go after this if the raid is tuned to schedule success without headaches after a few months. :)
BLIZZARD PLEASE LISTEN! the sv set bonus is useless!
it looks very bad
Why nagas? It would be better for ToS instead of that remake of horrible BC set. We have naga bosses there, so why now? Demons are worse for partition? Blizzard, please, hunters want accurate clear sets too.TBH, these sets without helmets (why-not-rotting naga head or carved bucket) look good, especially with matching shirt to cover arms. Not very shiny and bright. Don't know why they look very good on female gnomes. I think Frostbitten Gun and Talador Hunting Rifle would look great with different colors.
Better than rehashed Gronnstalker, I guess.
Makes me so sad to see the Naga helmet that brings the entire set together is only part of Mythic and Elite.
Love this set!
Sort of meh about the set, not a fan of washed out colors (and all but Mythic are)
Those BM set bonus are so lame. BM already struggling with AOE damage and these set bonus makes it even worst since its pure single target damage increase.
The LFR, normal and Heroic versions look like Dungeon or quest gear. The Elite and Mythic ones that actually make this a Serpentstalker outfit looks great but it should have been saved for an expansion with the naga as the bad guys, next expansion possibly. I feel that with most of the T21 they dropped the ball, this is the tier that should have been the epitome of class fantasies, the core of what each class is about. Would have fit with the final battle against the Legion.
why are we getting a naga themed set for a legion themed raid that has no naga?
I think this is one of the ugliest hunter sets out there. I will immediately transmog over any pieces on my hunter.
I take back my thank you for removing the now-useless mythic progression; it's back for some stupid reason. I wonder if we'll still get the Tomb "progression" once the new raid is out. (Probably, seems it's here to stay no matter how many guilds complete it.)
So, the tradition of Hunter sets looking like they fell out of the ugly tree and hit every branch on the way continues. And this time, it is thematically inappropriate as well.Blizzard, is it so incomprehensible that hunters might want something different? You know, something... sleeker, more practical looking, for the guys (and gals) that go out in the wilderness and survive there with their wits alone, with no help from spirits, or nature magic, or anything like that? Rogues get good, practical looking sets. Hunters get "I'm a psychopath that likes to randomly stick parts of things I killed and mutilated on me" sets.
Not to mention the hidden bonus damage to serpent based mobs. Someone earlier calculated it to be about 2%.
Blizz needs to outsource some of its conceptual art to a new set of independent artists.
