I miss Havoc's 100% leech more than anything else that's changed in BfA.
Did I miss something? When do we hear about Vengence DH?
Twice where it mentions Imprison, I think it means chaos blades. Imprison has been removed from Havoc despite its overwhelmingly large role in Havoc gameplay since day-one of Legion. While this is understandable from a talent balance perspective, it is somewhat unfortunate to see this completely di Sappear, especially on a spec lacking a medium duration cooldown.Demon Reborn is the third and last talent removed from the Havoc tree (along with Bloodlet and Imprison, as mentioned earlier) but is likely not to be missed too much.
i was main dh in legion, i did both pve and pvp, achieved 2000 rank and most of the raid on heroic before the next tier... and what i say about Havoc in bfa is just....sad... its depressive actually...if he just stay like this i will just leave dh a an forgot alt...or i could just say, after the burning legion defeat, my dh has retired himself from the battlefield and just disappeared, for maybe returns in a more interesting moment.
That Leech is insane. Any news for DH tank ? :D
Can't believe all that crying about the State of DH. In my opinion it plays quite okay, not as fancy as t21 with demonic, but fine for prepatch with missing azerite bonuses.Compared to my fury warrior, DH feels quite better, especially in AoE terms.
I have very quickly ditched the Havoc DH from being my main I played it to lvl 120 through BETA and was very unimpressed I continued to give it the benefit of the doubt in prepatch to see what blizz does to fix how boring it is to play and with no quality of life changes the class is dull and boring its still pretty strong but its just plain boring now which is sad to see because it was my main all of legion. hopefully blizz can fix it and i will lvl it as an alt at some point
The reduction in leech and dodge brings Havoc down to where it should be. It's pretty good right now, especially the talents have improved a lot.
I REALLY dont get people that say something along the lines of "I mained Havoc in Legion but I will drop it now because the Rotation is so boring".As an Example I will just go for the singletarget-Prioritylist with T21-Demonic Build and the usual Talents:Apply NemesisCast Eybeam to use Demonic if available (beware of overcapping fury)Cast Metamorphosis if available and with Eybeam on CD to capitalize upon demon rebornCAst Twinbaldes on CDCast Chaos Strike to spend FuryCast Demonbite to generate Furythat is it. And if we go to any state before that you can switch out Eybeam with keeping up Momentum and maybe add Blade Dance or remove Demonbite - Legion mechanics and Rotations wont get much more complex than that on any build. And i simply see no way you can build any DH in BfA that is more simplistic, except for maybe going with just no Talents at all.Apart from the artifact ability, which almost every class misses I guess (even if some have it as a Talent), I only have 2 Problems with the current state atm:1. I really grew accustomed to Demonic, but I also liked it from the beginning of Legion. I hate to let it go and hope to see it come back as a strong build even for raids again.2. Dark Slash. The first time I read it I like the concept a lot, but now, finally testing it, I am really underwhelmed. That it only affects one single Chaos Strike is pretty mediocre (even though 8/20 seconds with a 40% buff to chaos strike would have been a little too strong too).I would have liked it to be a strong, short buff to Chaos Strike damage on a medium cooldown, which could have made up for the loss of Chaos Blades.Anyways, I will most likely stick to the DH in either way, because I still like the class for what it is.
Nice summary, can't say it better.Just compare to the hyped Fury warrior, its also just 3 buttons, rampage+BT+Raging Blow - doesn't seem to me complex either.
DH is okay, not great, but could've been worse. Its just over classes like rogue, ret pal, fury war - who is just op and should be nerfed.
Well, after reading through some stuff again just now, It seems like Dark Slash affecting only one Chaos Strike was just a bug I experienced? After seeing that for some tries while testing the talent I just dropped it and never tried again so I am not sure about it...Anyone here that had simmilar problems or that can definitely say that the ability worked the way it should (tooltip-wise) for him?
Those people calling the DH a boring 3 button class are propably those people that are always out of fury standing in the fight only AA and being on the lower end of the dmg meters.
I was maining Havoc in Legion, attending myth raids and m+...the BfA Havoc seem very similar + more boring sadly. I definitely had fun with Havoc, especially towards the start of expansion. But I cannot continue to play the class, it would get me bored to oblivion.Wouldn't mind 3rd spec, perhaps ranged demon hunter, similar to hunter having 1 melee spec. Shouldn't actually take that much work if you take Diablo3 demon hunter as template.
What I really miss about havoc is Raddon's. Please just make it a talent or azerite trait, memebeam specc was insanely fun in m+.
I mained the DH for the whole Legion addon and I personally found the class more difficult to master than the ones I played in the past (rogue, shaman). It may only have a few buttons, but if the abilities are not timed correctly, the Dps is strongly reduced... I look forward to continue to play the class for BFA. The only thing I noticed at the moment is our weakness in Warmode, but this may change with the BFA gear.
This was my main throughout Legion, and will more than likely still be my PVP main during BFA simply because I enjoy the class. However, I more than likely won't be using it for Mythic + and raiding. The rotation doesn't feel quite as intuitive anymore. That being said, I'm still going to level through BFA on my DH, simply because I enjoy the class fantasy too much to just drop it. Getting used to the new rotation will take some time, but overall I'm not terribly upset over the changes they made. I do miss Fury of the Illidari when running keys like Lower Kara! Hopefully they'll add some azerite choices that will bolster our AoE capacity to make up for that loss a bit.
