I assume this is NOT because somebody suddenly got conscience (what's that), but I hope this money finally goes to complete the SL properly. Okay, that's dreams, but a bit hope never hurts.Probably the first thing they did right, and a little bit of respect earned back.
So he wanted $200M+ in stocks as a bonus and the board told him he could stay on, but they weren't giving him $200M in stocks for his great performance this year. Also some irrelevant *!@# with his salary that billionaires don't care about because it's a rounding error on capital gains.
No one needs that much money to live. He could have reduced it by 80% and I would still think he's making too much money.
Good. Now everyone who does NOT work for the company can stop whining and complaining! Hopefully we will start to get real creativity and better product!
Eh, it's voluntarily saying no to a lot of money. I'm not sure I could say no to that much money. That buys a lot of neat things, including power and influence. I could do a lot of stuff I would like to do in the world with that.Good on this guy. I know folks won't feel like this matters, as he still gets obscene amounts. But it's voluntarily saying no to a &*!@-ton of money. That's not easy.I'll take my hat off for that one.
The official new deat lol.... while under the table :)
I am glad they are finally listening to us shareholders.
He's doing this so he can make a huge bonus later on. Which will probably involve firing more people to make up for it. It's not a PR stunt or anything of the sort to make him look good.
