More Huge News: Faction Change Service Coming
Nethaera has just announced on the official forums that we will soon be receiving the ability to change our faction.
Holy crap.
This may be the most radical, fundamental change to the game dynamic that I've seen since the game came out. I admit i've always wanted this for my own characters, but really...I guess it was one of those things I never thought would change. Now that it's changing, it's kind of...scary.

Mage Q&A with Ghostcrawler
These things are coming faster than we have time to post them. :)
So this is the second entry in the class Q&A, series, this one about mages. Ghostcrawler answers some interesting questions, and some uninteresting ones, and gives us some clues about the future of the mage class.
For those of you who play mages—and maybe those of you who don't—read on! The text of the interview is after the break.

The Crusader's Coliseum!
Well the updates are just coming fast and furious now. The latest update is about the newest tier in raid content—tier 9—to be released in Patch 3.2!
Apparently the next raid tier to come out will be the Crusaders' Coliseum. No info released yet on what the actual encounters will be like, but there have been a few interesting tidbits—apparently there will be four difficulty levels on this one: a normal and heroic 10-man, and a normal and heroic 25-man. They're unlocking one encounter at a time, one per week, Sunwell-style. They're ALSO creating a system (which has already generated some controversy) which limits the number of attempts you get on each boss per raid lockout, and increases the quality of rewards based on how many "tries" you have left when you down him.
Add in a new 5-man dungeon that rewards
Sceau de champion
s, and new Alliance-only and Horde-only skins for gear, and this one sounds ESPECIALLY interesting. The blue post is after the break!

Shaman Changes in 3.2
Mount changes...check!
Class mount spells changes...check!
Profession changes...check!
Class changes...class changes...loading...check now!
That's right, Call of the Crusade is getting juicier and juicier! Must be because of the word "crusade" in it...crusade -- paladins -- awesomeness! Hmm...
Anyway, it looks like the Shamans are getting some love now. I myself have a shaman, and one of the most annoying things in the world (you can all confirm that) is dropping totems, pulling them back, dropping again, making sure none of them is dead, and if there is one, drop it again... It's a pain, brothers and sisters! Well, Blizzard has heard our cries of pain, and is about to make our lives a whole lot easier -- the
totem bar
awaits us in 3.2, along with spells like
Call of Fire
, which
drops all of our totems at once
, Totemic Call being renamed to
Call of Earth
; and two more,
Call of Air
and
Call of Water
, which work like the Fire one, just using different presets of totems.
For details and healing juiciness -- read on!

Profession Changes (Buffs) in 3.2
Looks like Patch 3.2,
Call of the Crusade
, will a patch that brings joy and happiness to many, if not all of us. After the
Argent Tournament Changes
, now we get Profession Changes! Long story short, all of the professions are being buffed.
On a slightly side note, a lot of information starts to leak. Something like this happened about...I believe 2 months before
The Secrets of Ulduar
was released. Do you think we can expect 3.2 around the end of the summer?

Argent Tournament Changes in 3.2
Update - Check the second quote panel.
Content patch 3.1 brought us not only Ulduar and its secrets, but the Argent Tournament as well - a place where brave heroes of both the Alliance and the Horde fought and still fight for recognition from the Argent Crusade. But more important than any of that (for many players) were the nice rewards - weapons on par with Heroic loot, mounts, pets, tabards, banners... and in the upcoming patch,
even moar
! New seal-rewarding dailies, new mounts, pets, tabards, heirloom items, and even a (costly) upgrade for your squire! In exchange of 150 Seals, your loyal follower will be able to serve as bank, mailbox or vendor!

Isle of Conquest Preview
Alterac Valley, Arathi Basin, Eye of the Storm, Strand of the Ancients, Warsong Gulch...and soon the
Isle of Conquest
.
Blizzard have finally released some info about their new battleground, to be launched in the next major content patch - 3.2, Call of the Crusade. Apparently the events from the Wrathgate, Undercity, the Broken Front, and a few other locations of conflict have led to something very close to all-out war between the Alliance and the Horde. Even places of no clear significance have become contested zones, certain areas of which are literally ravaged by war! One such place will be the Isle of Conquest, a small island somewhere in the Frozen Sea.
But enough fluffy-talk! Take a look at the entire article, following the link below...

Holy Crap: Mount Levels Changed
So I was out getting dinner and I missed this one, but for those of you who HAVEN'T heard the news yet: Zarhym just announced a radical re-vamp of the mount system.
Among other changes: regular land mounts are now level 20, and epic mounts are level 40. You can now get a flying mount fresh of the rack at level 60. This is going to change the levelling process
completely
—especially in Outland.

Shaman Q&A with Ghostcrawler
Regardless of whether or not you're happy with the job that
Greg "Ghostcrawler" Street
is doing as a Systems Designer, you have to have a lot of respect for the guy for having the balls to get in front of the WoW community—a community that's famous for sending forum moderators home in bodybags—and defend his design decisions.
In the latest move in this direction, the official WoW forums have published a
Class Q&A
—this first one for Shamans, though presumably this is only the first of many future updates. I haven't touched my shaman in a while, but I thought this was very interesting. I am
definitely
looking forward to seeing what he has to say about the other classes.
You can read the Q&A here:

Wowhead: About Us Page Update
So those of you who have been paying attention to detail will notice—our team is expanding, and we've finally made all of the appropriate updates to the
About Us
page.
We've added some new full-time programmers to the team:
PoeticDragon
has actually been working with us on the site for a good long time—she's responsible for most of the cool goodies you've seen come out on the site for the last few months, including the
item comparison
, the
hunter pet calculator
, the

system, as well as the upcoming
Wowhead Profiler
. It's been a huge oversight on our part that she hasn't been featured on the About Us page long before now.
We've also very recently added
TheOnyx
to our development team—a long-time Wowhead user, and in fact the winner of Wowhead's
very first contest
all the way back in 2006. You can read about him on the About Us page as well, not to mention

Blizzard Introduces Ulduar Bosstiary
Usually I try not to post blogs that fall under the "News" category, because I feel they are more of admins' duty than mine. So unless I am specifically asked to post something, I read the news and leave somebody else to post them. As simple as that.
This time however, I could not just stand aside and watch. I had to post this, not only because it is related to Lore (which I love with all of my heart), but is also related to Ulduar, which I have grown to love as my own child. Blizzard have finally released a modified version of a bestiary - a
bosstiary
! It has a tiny bit of information about every Ulduar boss (and I expect to see more bosses coming soon), it has nice screenshots, and is all nice and beautiful. But don't let me waste any more of your time, see Blizzard's announcement for yourself!
