I wrote this during MoP, but it still applies, I just made some minor updates.
I one shot PG! - Wait, no, no I didn't. If you are a good healer I will give you some advice. I failed PG over and over again, so I left PG to clear my head and get all of the advice I got out of my head. Came back two weeks later and
one shot
it. Literally
one shot
it by just simply healing MY WAY. DO NOT take the advice of others or use guides. If you are having difficulty and are functioning under healing advice - leave PG and clear your head for a while. Healing Advice will devastate you.
Yes I am mad at myself can you tell? I have been raid healing for almost a full decade, I need healing advice on THIS? What an idiot I am! I twisted myself into 19 people and none of them looked like me. A lot of healers are killing themselves on this for the same reason and it prompted me to write this post.
Tanking is a Job, DPS is a science, and healing is an Art, take that literally, you cannot paint like another artist. You are your own artists. At about attempt 6 I started to read more guides and watch videos, now I can say this, NOT ONE guide agrees with the next, because each guide is the ART of THAT healer.
Do NOT over-think it.
MUST: Do not take Healing advice. I do not mention one spell cast or how to handle any wave in this post.
VITAL: Learn the waves and what they can do, Each wave is a boss fight. - Know your fights! You will know how to handle them on your own, not with advice from others. Again, healing advice can devastate you.
I should also mention that what wave is hard for one healer is not for the next, again, not everyone agreed with each other. I can say for myself that “the most difficult wave EVER”, was cake for me. Yet one of the easy waves was hard, why? My art was developed and designed to handle those wave styles, yet not the others. We develop our art differently.
Change your talents (if needed) to address said waves.
Be sure the debuff "Chomp" is tracked on your healing addon with any custom debuff list.
Learn your classes interrupts/stuns – all of them as you will be using them like you never have before (you will become a better raid utility from this, amazing what it has done for me)
NOTE: With that being said it is
my option
that this helps as it mitigates a lot of damage but I have watched videos of players on wave 30 who never used one interrupt. I don't know how, but that is their art.
Change your interface to have quick easy access to the most important spells for PG only.
After wave 10, it just repeats, it's not that much harder, don't psych yourself out. You are healing a dungeon, that's all, keep that in your head.
Remember you are going for 30, anything more is a bonus. The only time you will need to change healing from your natural healing is when you are trying for way above 30.

It is simple and It works very well in PG. What it does is run over every caster possible always stopping on the most dangerous. In other words, if Small Illusionary Flamecaller exists It will target him, but the macro continues to run so if Large Illusionary Hive-Singer exists, that will be targeted as that is a later target command.
I use grid, I added a Clique to cast my interrupts so I never have to move my mouse off of grid for this often needed task. This Macro, in Clique or on a button will stop your current cast such as a heal and then cast your interrupt. Replace Wind Shear with your own class interrupt.

Use
this Weak Aura
, you can move the red glow near the enemy cast bar or name plate. It will pop the glow and play a ping sound when the target has an interruptible spell cast AND your interrupt is not on cooldown. I used this before PG but it became invaluable in PG.
To change this Weak Aura for your class:
"Load" tab: Check the "Player Class" check box and select your class from the drop down. Check the "Talent Specialization" check box and select your specialization.
"Trigger" tab: Under "Choose trigger" (trigger 1 applies to all classes it is saying that the
target is casting
and the
cast is interruptable
) Select "Trigger 2", this trigger is for your class enter your class's interrupt spell. The net result is you get notice when the target is
casting an interruptable spell
and
your interrupt spell is ready to use.
If you have more than one interrupt you are monitoring you can right click this weak aura in the list and click duplicate and change it as needed for that secondary spell. You may end up with overlapping notices so I would change audible and visual warning under the "Action" Tab.
Gearing
While PG does scale now I suggest that you gear at ilvl 630 with stats for longevity. At this point I can one shot endless at anytime, I just play around in there too much, I am truly demented at this point. If I go in with my raid gear it is more difficult and I can say that the better my gear the harder it gets. At 630 it is easier than MoP, at 690 it's much much harder than MoP. My feeling on this is that the burst damage is scaled incorrectly, with good gear the damage burst hit so hard I am lucky to recover.

Healing Cooldowns

Some people will say to use cool downs on set waves as those waves are the most difficult. I personally took this advice many times. It was not until I just healed that everything went well, as a healer you know when YOU are behind and you know when you need to step it up because you blew a cool down

and you are well prepared for the waves and fight ahead. We as healers adjust,
we are the players that write poetry under pressure
. There is also a certain amount of RNG in there, for me I may have got every interrupt possible, or crit many times over and over, and that wave became easy. Again, that is me, not you, healers are artists, feel it!

There is really no point in explaining how to do this,
It all comes down to: interupt the aoe casts from hive-singers. If there are no hive singers, flame-callers will cast random; nasty pyro/fireballs that could hurt.
All in all, this is pretty doable in 630 gear and shouldn't take more then a few tries.
Mana is a joke since you can drink after each 10 wave interval.

Endless in WoD was designed with outdated mechanics for the enemies you fight. There are removed mechanics like Chomp which no mob has and all the enemies are just scaled up. Many healers no longer have any interrupts or disables, so good luck on those. As a druid, I have two options. Cyclone only small ones because they are the only ones not immune (and only lasts for a few seconds) and the level 75 talent which is on an immense cooldown. So good luck not burning through your mana.
The DPS are also complete failures and you can tell you are carrying them through. The mage will run into melee range to arcane explosion, stay there for a minute, then run out causing a huge DPS loss. The Hunter will often stand in the fire and uses no cooldowns to mitigate damage or even move. The two actually counterspell, once in a while, but are very lax about it. They will often not have enough DPS to finish waves before the new one starts if it contains a Large mob like a Conquerer.
This challenge is not a measurement of how to heal in a dungeon or raid. I get it, le funny DPS-are-that-bad-training-you-for-bad-DPS-XDDDDD maymay. But in seriousness, this is a test of the perimeters of the challenge and not what actually happens in a dungeon. No DPS is bad enough to fail killing a mob before the tank pulls another. No DPS are bad enough to not use any damage boost cooldowns (and a hunter in WoD not doing damage? Hah, what a joke). This isn't a test of your WoW healing ability, it's something else entirely.
I recommend skipping it because it's not tuned to WoD mechanics. Yet another oversight by Blizzard in their haste to rush out this expansion.

Holy paladin (my offspec)
Wave 1: Stun caster immediately. Build holy power. Conserve mana.
Wave 2: Wings here. Stun singer asap, kick.
Wave 3: Stun large add. Top off the debuff ASAP. Bubble off the debuff. BOP mage if he gets it.
Wave 4: Stun immediately/dispel. Stun a second time. Spend mana.
Wave 5: Sac before enrage. Stun caster, kick after the dps do. High damage/spend mana. LOH if you have to.
Wage 6: Wings here. Conserve mana.
Wave 7: Hand of sac the enrage. LOH if you have to but don't waste it. Spend mana.
Wave 8: Low incoming damage. Stun/kick. Conserve mana.
Wave 9: Wings here. Conserve mana.
Wave 10: Sac enrage. Stun small add. Dispel. Spend mana.
DRINK IN INTERMISSION when you get out of combat.
Tips:
Speed of Light, Fist of Justice, Eternal Flame, Clemency, Sanctified Wrath, Holy Prism, Saved by the Light.
Avenging Wrath, Hand of Sac, Flash of Light.
Stunning earlier than later is helpful to avoid diminishing returns and to get multiple stuns in per round.
Dispel melee over ranged since that hits the tank/you.
Denounce spam if there's no incoming damage - no mana cost.
Build holy power at the end of waves with crusader strike and holy shock.
You can bring Mecha-Blast rockets if you feel like a dps edge ;)
The enraging adds thump their chest, have a cast bar, and get huge as they enrage. Set focus on them to be able to sac as they're enraging.
I actually didn't use clemency which I think was an oversight. Not sure if this frees up some extra BOPs or Sac's here and there.
Use divine protection to soak water bombs.
For paladins trying to do this offspec for achievement points - I nearly always holy shocked on CD, spammed holy light as a filler, used holy prism nearly on cd and eternal flame spammed my holy power. Rarely cast Holy Radiance or light of dawn, forgot completely about devotion aura, dispelled debuffs instantly and kept beacon on the tank. Tried to get mastery/spirit gear but whatever. Only took three attempts, mighta been less if I wasn't taking notes for this guide!

I got this today actually and I can say that this its alot easier when you are doing this with lower ilvl gear, in comparison with 655 gear its alot easier.
I used following talents:
Tier 1: Displacer beast
Explanation: Doesnt really matter what you use here. Alltho I found it helpfull to be mobile for example if you have the waterbomb on you run out let it drop off and use displacer beast to get back fast.
Tier 2: Ysera's Gift
Explanation: It heals for alot more then Cenarion ward does and its passive
Tier 3: Typhoon
Explanation: Obviously to knockback the casters!
Tier 4: Force of Nature
Explanation: You can pop this on any wave that involves alot of damage especially on wave 2,5,7 and 9.
Tier 5: Mighty Bash
Explanation: 5 second stun is pretty good to use on Large Illusionary Hive-Singer to interrupt Sonic Blast or the Flamecallers with their Fireballs
Tier 6: Dream of Cenarius
Explanation: On low damage waves you can spam Wrath and heal your party at the same time win = win I would say, it also helps when you are low on mana coz it doesnt cost any mana at all.
Tier 7: Germination
Explanation: -

Few tips and trics
Chomp : You take wayyyyyyyyyyy more damage from all enemy abilities than your NPC allies. This makes chomp on you particularly costly mana-wise to clear. So stay a couple yards behind where Sooli normally waits between waves, and prehot everyone but yourself.
Flamecaller and Hive-Singer : On waves were their are Flamecallers and Hive singers try to position yourself where their gonna spawn Open with Bash on them to stop their cast which saves some time before the NPC can.
IronBark : Try to use this before an wave start on Oto so mitigate damage on him at the start Except on wave 5 and 10 coz then you need to save it for when the Conqueror enrages.
Lastly Wild Growth is almost never the correct spell to cast. Regrowth / Rejuv / Swiftmend / Healing Touch almost always is. If you need to top off somebody fast I used this Nature's swiftness macro

Thanks for the conversation here. I found I'd return here to get some encouragement. However, I note that not a lot of information is useful for the Holy Priests that are currently working on this.
I finally cracked Endless after trying a few times every weekend for the past couple of months.
Even with Binding Heal -
"Your Binding Heal spell now heals a third friendly target within 20 yards, but costs 35% more mana"
glyphed, the random chomps and aqualyte bombs were killing me. This continued until I began using Power Word: Shield on the tank and the rogue to minimise the damage; only then, did I witness a lot of improvement.
The next leap in improved progress, came when I realised that there is opposite scaling between the MoP version and the current WoD version of the Proving Grounds. The WoD Proving Grounds scale up to meet your item level! So, if you go in with heroic healing gear - expect a tough, heroic healing gauntlet with very few moments to take a breath. In the end, I focussed on using multistrike gear that would have been used at the beginning of level 100 WOD normal dungeon entry, mixed with a WOD heroic raid trinkets and rings! My final item level was 618 and I was not looking for mana. I am happy to post what gear I used, should anyone wish to know.
The Glyph of Purification -
"Purify now has a maximum of 2 charges, but its cooldown is increased by 4 sec"
was useful, I would move away from the party and let the bomb detonate on myself if pushed.
I found, when necessary, the use of Leap of Faith was something that would come in handy; especially for the melee-mage
Whilst I never focussed on using DPS spells as a filler (they use mana too), as soon as the enrage expired on the Large Conqueror I would use Shadow Word: Pain, Holy Fire and Smite between tanks heals to kill it faster. To make this foolproof, I used a macro for targeting the tank's target for Shadow Word: Pain, Holy Fire and Smite (just replace the Shadow Word: Pain with the other spells):

Then, I would release my focus and would wait for that lovely squelchy sound that would come as my mana / health pudding would become available. YUM!
Talents:
Desperate Prayer, Body and Soul, Surge of Light, Psychic Scream ('though i stopped using it after 12 attempts and being frustrated with the extra task), Twist of Fate, Divine Star (quite useful for a couple of moments when the party seemed to read my mind and all bunch together), Words of Mending.
Major Glyphs:
Binding Heal, Purification, Prayer of Mending.
My final advice the somewhat the same as Toontang, and that is to go with your own playstyle; I failed when I tried doing things I don't normally do, for example interrupting the Flamecallers and Hive-Singers (sorry Toontang!). I decided to use Power Word Shield; even as I have always played Holy, it is a great little spell that minimised the damage on the tank and the rogue and let me have some valuable seconds to bring up the health of the hapless-hunter and the melee-mage.
Just RELAX, take your time and persist with the gradual improvement to your own healing style. This is definitely worth it to really find and establish your own healing approach. Sure, experiment a little and take the risk to try using spells you may not have thought of using - but, don't try something too foreign ;P If I can do this, anyone can!

Did this with my holy paladin and made it up to wave 39 after a dozen tries. Damage sometimes gets really spiky so ocassionally a party member would die a split second later even though they were at 60% health. Be sure to also dispel the Bubbles they put on your party as it can take off over 50% health. Not much to say here that others haven't covered but I will say that I had a harder time doing this with iLvL 672 gear as opposed to iLvL 636 gear.
I think the trick is to equip iLvL 615-630 armor with the highest iLvL weapon that you have. This way you get that extra spell power boost while staying at low gear lvl since the monsters scale accordingly. Also, be sure to flask and get a food buff so that you'll get that edge.

I just did this in 3 tries at the start of 6.2 with a totally undergeared Restoration Shaman (around 650 without any spirit gear, mostly in pvp season1 rare and epic). I am not a good healer and never was, the proven healer was the last title I achieved in MoP too so these tips can be pretty obvious to someone who plays healer a lot but to beginners in healing like me, it's a good start.
A few tips:
- use heroism on wave 9 (even if you would only need it on wave29, you should use it on wave 9 already because the friendly mage's timewarp puts on the exhaustion on wave10 and you can never use heroism anymore), with a shaman that wave is by far the hardest IMO and also it is based on luck, I ran into some kind of bug at first because I was at full hp (270k) + I had nature's guardian up and I still died to 170k burst damage according to combat log and it failed. If you use heroism the mobs basically oneshot the burrower and you can't run into something like that.
- don't use healing rain, it just eats mana while it does not do anything really, also applies to chain heal.
- I used the echo talent because of the unleash life, it's really worthy because you are spamming healing wave on the tank 90% of the time and with that it heals for 100-130k which is enough in most cases.
- Don't spamheal, make use of your mastery (I had a lot since I was in elemental gear), just watch out for the tank hp, if he is under 50% you are safe to cast an unleashed healing wave, it will heal him up to 80-90%.
- Use riptide a lot, it is cheap and is also enough to heal the backline.
- cloudburst totem and healing stream totem are cheap and both last 15sec with 30sec cd so you can have one of them on the ground all the time, if you can manage that, you will not have a problem with healing anyone else but the tank.
- If you have a free 2-3 sec, use flameshock+lavaburst, it deals huge damage, I managed to keep up around 7-8k dps on the whole PG until the last wave and it really helps with mana too since a lot of time you are already finished with the mobs long before the next wave comes. Also, with echo you have 2 lavabursts in a row and that is a huge damage on a smaller mob. (keep in mind that all of your damage abilities are free)
- the most important and the most obvious tips are: windshear the singer mob after the first cast (the first cast is likely to be interrupted by the NPCs) and use grounding totem + capacitor totem whenever they are up (of course grounding is only really useful against the pyro/fireball thrower mages)

as of 6.2.3 most definitely does restore 5% of your mana when used while in Proving Grounds. I used it every time it was up and was generally pretty safe. Plus it's a nice little extra free heal.

My gear was ilvl 624. I used the Communal Regalia, the BoA Cloak, a lower ilvl PvP neck, two 685 rings with spirit, and the Everburning Candle and Winged Hourglass.
I used Gift of Mastery enchant on all but my weapon, which I enchanted with Spirit
I talented:
Desperate Prayer
Angelic Feather (doesn't matter but I did use it once when I went the wrong direction)
Mindbender (I tried to save it for waves with Hive-Singers > Conquerors)
Void Tendrils (doesn't matter)
Power Infusion
Cascade (on CD)
Saving Grace (on Chomp victims or large AOEs if a Sonic Blast wasn't interrupted)
I glyphed:
Reflective Shield
Purify
Penance
On Hive-Singers, I'd let the NPCs take care of the 1st Sonic Blast, then I'd take care of the 2nd with Arcane Torrent (Blood Elf Racial) and the 3rd with Silence. If you aren't a Blood Elf, try Fear as an interrupt.
Took some practice, as I don't run with some of the talents suited for Proving Grounds, but was mostly about staying focused and calm.

I just finished this achieve...again (did it in MoP), There's some great tips here in the comments. Just going to reinforce what I think are the most important tips:
-Make sure your healing addon tracks
Chomp
and be ready for that debuff! If you're not waiting for it things can go south really fast!
-If you're capable of pre-hotting do so. Especially waves 2, 4, 8, & 9.
-On waves 2,5,7, & 9 don't be afraid to use your big tank cooldowns. Or weave them in on the waves you struggle with most; don't sit on those cooldowns.
**MOST IMPORTANT**
-
Item level makes a HUGE difference
. As others have stated the scaling here works somewhat backwards; the higher your ilvl, the harder the PG. So grab some green quality gear off the AH, trust me you'll be glad you did. I would recommend keeping your best weapon and the legendary ring if you have it. In my case I believe I kept my 700+ neck, trinkets, weapon and legendary ring. Everything else I used low ilvl green gear.
After doing several attempts at ilvl 715+ I was getting stuck at wave 29. How frustrating right?
After switching to the green gear at ~ ilvl 635, I facerolled through to wave 40 first try. I could have gone further but I was just so relieved the nightmare was over! :D

As priest I learned that I really need to be careful of Wave 2/4 12/14 22/24 etc because those are the ones that just destroy the tank so save your trinkets/guardian spirit, can use divine hymn for double burrower/aoe wave.

Just finished this in 7.1.5 (Legion) as a holy paladin and it was very easy. 886 ilevel with 910 wep, and 2 legendaries on (Chain of Thrayn and Magnum Opus). It only took me two attempts, and only because I was dumb and panicked on wave 25 my first time through. I used Beacon of the Lighbringer, Holy Avenger, and Sanctified Wrath. With Aura of Mercy + Aura Mastery and Tyr's Deliverance, I had 4 emergency CD's to use. Blessing of Sacrifice from time to time on the tank as well. Really not hard. If you DPS when you can (and you will hit pretty hard for a healer) you can speed up the waves and get your mana back with the leftover time.
The only real issue is managing the Aqua Bombs. Just be sure to cleanse them when you can, and when you get two, prioritize. Take care of the tank or melee when you can, if you get it on yourself and one is in melee, cleanse melee and back off so you blow up by yourself.

Today, I finally received the title "Proven Healer" on my Holy Paladin, Lindarion on the realm Mok'Nathal. I will admit that this was no easy feat for me. I have been working on Proving Grounds for a very long time. Bronze was difficult at first. I was proud when I made Silver. And Gold was the bomb! But, oh boy! Endless Healer was a magnitudes harder than Gold for me. I thought that it was probably just about impossible for a Holy Paladin to get the title. After all, we excel at tank healing but group and raid healing is not our sweet spot. Nevertheless, quite obviously, it can be done. I failed hundreds of times, but the levels where I failed kept slowly creeping up to the 30 level mark. I tweaked my talents multiple times, and tried multiple iterations of item levels and primary and secondary stat numbers on Lindarion. Eventually it came together.
For those Holy Paladins who want to get the title, I'll share with you exactly what I did. I was on Legion 7.2.5. I had an item level of 879 when I got the title. Proving grounds scales its difficulty based upon average item level and many people believe the best item level is about 614. I did not find this to be true.
I tweaked my statistics till I got a critical strike percentage of 48% and a haste percentage of 15%. My Mastery was at 25% and my Intellect was at 38,000. I used two Legendaries: Ilterendi, Crown Jewel of Silvermoon, and Uther's Guard.
My talents were Bestow Faith, Unbreakable Spirit, Repentance, Aura of Mercy, Holy Avenger, Sanctified Wrath, and Beacon of Faith.
I used the following addons: Healbot , Deadly Boss Mods, Enemy Grid, and Weak Auras 2. Each primary cooldown I had was linked to a different aural signal so that I didn’t have to move my eyes to the spell bar just to know that a particular spell was available to me. The number of aural signals as a result was quite cacophonous – but very informative! It was critical that my addon’s showed the aquabomb debuff so that I could dispel it immediately
I tried mixing healing and meleeing since the Paladin is supposed to be a melee healer. I found that healing and interrupting was the best use of my global cooldowns. It was very easy to run out of mana, especially after level 18 or so. I had to know when I could spend my mana and when I had to hold back. Basically level 2,4,5, 7, and 9 were the times to pour it on. Likewise levels 12, 14, 15, 17, 19 and 22,24, 25, 27, and 29. Otherwise I held back slightly by using fewer Flash of Lights and many more mana conserving Holy Lights.
I always healed the tank (Oto) preferentially to everyone else. I made sure that if Oto was at 80% he got a heal. The reason was that Oto is a terrible tank, and will face plant if you allowed him to lose health for any reason. It was important to fully understand levels 4, 14, and 24 because this was where you got your double aquabombs. Since you had only one Cleanse every 8 seconds you had to choose whom you would dispel. I would try to wait till both aquabombs were up and preferentially dispel Oto first, then Ki the Assassin, followed by Kavan the Arcanist. I would not dispel Sooli the Survivalist because he stood so far away from the other characters and so the aquabomb did not injure anyone else. If I chose incorrectly and an aquabomb went off too close to Oto, then he would likely die immediately or soon after. So the choice of whom you chose to dispel the aquabomb was critical. When only one Illusionary Aqualyte was up and therefore no more double aquabombs could be delivered then and only then would I would consider dispelling Sooli.
I would use Avenging wrath on levels 2, 5, 7, and 9 and of course 12, 15,17, and 19 and 22, 25, 27, and 29. I would use Aura Mastery (my Aura being Aura of Mercy) at levels 2, 5, and 9 and 12, 15, 19, 22, 25, and 29.
I found that I would use all the other spells on a completely situational basis depending on what spell was off cooldown and what was needed. As I said before, all my spells had aural warnings courtesy of Weak Auras so that I needed only to hear a spell come off cooldown before I knew I could use it.
It was very important to know where exactly the mobs would eventually situate themselves. So at the beginning of each level I would position myself in the appropriate spot so my Mastery would be fully effective in healing Oto the Tank.
Most importantly, I never gave up hope. There were days when I felt I would never get the title. But I could see a small but incremental improvement each week. Eventually I made it. I couldn’t have been prouder, to tell you the truth. Not so much because of the title per se, but more because I had persisted despite failing so many times.

This is how I as a
holy Paladin
got the title.
Firstly, first attempt I ever did on this was yesterday in patch 7.3 and today I got the title. The reason why I am so late to the party is my wow-break since early MoP until Legion (patch 7.2.5). And I promise you that I managed this within 10 attempts using the following setup. The proving ground is set up in such a way that it will hone your skills into becoming a better healer and utilize all spells you have available to you.
Things I always struggled with is that I want to keep cooldowns around "just in case", which is a mindset that I myself had to work with in this proving ground. Remember, cooldowns and skills are around to be used as much as possible! Remember though to try and spread them out so that you always have what you need available.

Things to do before going into the proving grounds:
- Ensure that the debuff
Chomp
show up on your party frame - I for example use the addon Grid and added it separately.
- Ensure that you see magical debuffs (
Aqua bomb
) as you need to cleanse your party members.
- Make a "stun priority"-macro (see below).
- Buy food as you can eat and drink between wave 10 and 11 as well as between 20 and 21 for approximately 10 seconds.
Although you have to survive 30 waves, they are structured so that you have 10 waves that repeat themselves over and over, with the only difference that the mobs get increasingly more and more damage. So wave 1-10 contain same adds and same structure as 11-20 ans 21-30 and so on. That means as long as you have gotten a grasp over what will come next, you are able to better plan ahead on how to use your cooldowns. The way I did it took me to wave 34 (failing on 35) before I got distracted and ending my attempt. The way I structured my run was also "only" to push past wave 30, so my plan was not to to go on indefinitely.

Always precast Bestow Faith on Oto (the tank) just before he runs into the mobs. You should not be needing any cd's on wave 1, but on every wave you should
stun
a mob to negate extra damage on the party. The rogue and mage stun/kick periodically but is a bit unreliable. Try either stunning the mobs before the rouge and mage does, but otherwise try to stun after their stuns have ended to maximize the damage mitigation. Use the following stun macro:

Always use Avenging wrath at the time wave 2,4,6,8 and 10 spawns. That will mean you have it available again at the start of every second wave.
Cast Hand of sacrifice (HoS) to negate damage on the tank, as you will notice he takes spike damage and you might find yourself spam healing him to ensure his survival on certain waves (Conquerors that enrages) and even then you might not see his health go up, so REALLY, use HoS.
Prioritize dispelling the Aqua bomb in the following order to avoid as much party damage as possible:
1. Warrior (tank)
2. Rogue (melee)
3. Mage (sometimes melee)
4. Hunter (always alone)
5. Yourself (you can move away from everyone)
In some waves you will have 2 mobs casting Aqua Bomb, and with cleanse on a 8 second cooldown, you will find yourself having to prioritize.
When a character get the debuff chomp, cast blessing of protection on it to remove the debuff (do not do that on the tank, I did at wave 25, you WILL have a bad time starting all over). This might give you the extra time needed to heal the tank instead of the party. You can also cast
Divine Shield
on yourself if you get the Chomp debuff and save BoP for someone else. Use Aura mastery and/or Tyr's Deliverance as soon as the group taken aoe damage. Try standing close in melee both because of your passive
Mastery: Lightbringer
, but also to be able to throw in some dps. Use
Lay on Hands
whenever needed.
I found wave 2, 5 and 9 to be the hardest and most healing intensive, so if you have spare cooldowns, those might be good waves to use them on. I thought of this as healing a dungeon or a raid and just focused on healing "my way". Just as a raid or dungeon, learn the fight, know what to expect from each wave and dominate. Do your best and get that title! :)

Ok, finally was able to do this, I took a bit from both of the previous comments I have to say to be able to finally get past wave 30, so took some stuff from Thelinnia and some from anildesilva.
I had literally 0 healing experience, never healed a dungeon, raid etc., nor do I plan to, I only ever healed in proving grounds, and at first, when I tried in WOD, I had huge issues doing bronze, then once I got the hang of the role and class, silver was easier than bronze and then gold took 1h of attempts.
It was tight enough that I didn't feel like trying endless, think I could've done endless 10 max, but now I was bored in legion I got back to it, deciding to try to get endless 30.
I did this on a holy paladin, only healing class I got maxed, it's also an alt, this meant I didn't have access to lots of legendaries, special trinkets, tier sets etc., I had 910 item level and at first I had problems getting past endless wave 9 with the 29% crit I had, so I increased my crit changing various items which didn't have it, and as it increased and as I got further experience on each wave, I also was able to get further.
The idea to increase crit strike comes from anildesilva's comment and also from the fact that holy shock has double the normal chance to crit and it gives you a 50% stronger flash of light when it crits, so at first I had 3 out of 5 holy shock crits, then with the crit that allowed me to get to wave 25 (40%) I had 4 out of 5 holy shock crits and then with the ultimate 44,5% crit I reached, I had 8 out of 9 holy shock crits, this was a huge difference cause generally if you get 2-3 non crits in a row you're in trouble on bad waves, and this minimized the chance enough that it wouldn't realistically happen a single time in an endless 30 attempt.
You could still get more crit than me, ofc, I had to downgrade my item level to 884-885, not cause mobs are comparatively weaker in low item level (maybe they are, but not noticed) but cause I didn't have high items with crit in all slots, and for example some green gloves 780 with 450 crit and an heirloom chest 800 with 1k crit really helped.
I ofc put crit on enchants and gems too, but found out that gems DO NOT WORK in proving grounds, also potions don't work, not sure about drums of fury, but the mage in the scenario uses time warp in every wave 10, 20, 30 etc., so you cannot use it when you'd like to.
I tried for 12h yesterday and while I improved a lot from when I started, I couldn't get past wave 25, it was possible, but the one time the small mob was dead in time, I had wrong target selected and the conqueror finished tank off before I could switch.
This additional crit and the fact I took a break from it today allowed me to save a lot more mana (more holy shock crits, so less heals needed), I even reached wave 20 with like 95% mana, this never happened before, so for the first time I had enough margin to handle wave 22, 25 and 29 which I consider the hardest (agree with Thelinnia on this).

I initially started with the same setup as Thelinnia suggested, so aura of mercy and divine purpose at 60 and 75 tiers, but after asking a friend who raid heals as a holy paladin, I heard devotion aura could work too, and I thought damage reduction would be better than a small amount of healing, not to mention when you use aura mastery you get 20% reduction to ALL 5 party members, more useful IMO than the effect aura of mercy does, and also heard that holy avenger would be better cause that way you have 1 more cds and you don't depend on procs, and indeed it helped, I could spread cds better this way, it was very useful.
I also tried with unbreakable spirit on tier 30 which reduces cd of LOH, bubble and divine protection by 30%, but protection was useless since I decided to macro it together with blessing of sacrifice, so it was always ready regardless, LOH was sometimes useful when I lost control but you can use it every 5 mins instead of 7 and some seconds, and bubble you can use it every 3,5 mins instead of 5, not super useful, I tried this talent cause I felt I wasn't using rule of law well enough and that's the one I got to wave 25 with, but ultimately going back to rule of law seemed to have helped.
That is not very much for the range, I was always in range of targets, but given it has 2 charges, you can save it for waves you have trouble with and you can use it 3 times during a wave if you want, so 30\60 seconds active, and because of holy pala mastery effect, you end up healing more when it's active since you can be further away to the target and heal the same as you would when it'd not active, so when you're closer it heals more than usual.
I had a legendary cloak for ret spec which had no useful effect and a belt which had a great effect here, +25% healing during avenging wrath, so it was healing 60% instead of 35%, making it an effective cd even when used alone in a wave.
Like said I had no tier or special trinkets, those can help obviously, and also another thing that doesn't work in proving grounds is tertiary stats, had some leech outside, not inside.
Now as for my cd using, in general this was my decision:
Wave 1, 11, 21: tyr's deliverance, holy avenger; it's not like it was a hard wave, but I like using them at 1, 3, 5, so they're ready at the right time I need them
Wave 2, 12, 22: avenging wrath, aura mastery, blessing of sacrifice + divine protection; this was a hard wave for me, lots of tank damage especially, I used sacrifice later on the wave
Wave 3, 13, 23: tyr's deliverance, holy avenger; same as wave 1
Wave 4, 14, 24: avenging wrath; this was the wave with 2 dispells at once where you had to prioritize, but I needed other cds later, so had to make it with only wrath and some rule of law
Wave 5, 15, 25: tyr's deliverance, holy avenger, aura mastery, blessing of sacrifice + divine protection; hard wave, again I saved sacrifice for a few sec, till the conqueror was about to enrage
Wave 6, 16, 26: avenging wrath; this wasn't a very hard wave, wrath coped well, again can always use rule of law if needed
Wave 7, 17, 27: tyr's deliverance, holy avenger, blessing of sacrifice + divine protection; not too bad wave, like usual when conquerors enrage sacrifice, not as hard as 5
Wave 8, 18, 28: avenging wrath; ok wave once again
Wave 9, 19, 29: tyr's deliverance, holy avenger, aura mastery; hard wave if anything for the aoe damage, I tried to use beacon of virtue and light of dawn as much as I could
Wave 10, 20, 30: avenging wrath, blessing of sacrifice + divine protection; fairly easy wave, only thing is not being taken by surprise by the conqueror when he enrages
Overall extremely satisfied to have done this, by far the hardest proving ground achi for me.
So obviously wave 2, 5, 9, especially 22 and 25 where I wiped a lot of times, were those where I tried to use more rule of law to cope with the damage, as wiping at wave 22 and 25 was particularly frustrating; the first time I tried today I did it, so I never wiped on wave 29, also I suicided on wave 32, but I felt extremely good with this crit today, I feel I could've gone till like 40-50, but my goal was only 30, so stopped there.

Did this in 7.3.5 on HOLY PALLY - even though i was near 970 ilvl - i remembered when I did prot and ret in MOP/ WOD that you had to get gear that was scaled down since PG scaling is wonky when your at max ilvl. PG is designed to be done when you first ding max level and thus are still in blue and greens. SO go to the AH and buy any max level greens that are perfect stats pref with a socket bonus. Make sure you gem epic gems / best enchants. The goal is to drop your ilvl not ur stats. You don't need set gear but its helpful to use your best trinkets and rings since they don't scale as bad as armour. Don't forget you can use heirlooms and send them to a sub 99 alt and send enchants (inc inscription / LW / tailoring (depends on the profession you use) to that same alt. This gear is at 800 but at < 99 it scales to less then 600 and so all the old augments can be applied from an old expac that would not normally be enchanted in legion or new expac. Heirloom gear is still a bit high though so only use if you cant find the greens on the AH. I also was lucky to have a nice on use ring that i kept. Don't forget to flask / rune / eat! Mana should not be an issue at all if you have geared correctly.
THEN
Make sure you have the right talents / UI / Addons etc set up. (Clique is essential! with grid / dbm / elvui are what I used). The tallents i used are 3,3,1,3,2,2,2 + the holy paly class ring which gave me an extra talent. I also had the healing lego trinket (see screenshot for set up).
I also had a macro to target and select the dangerous mobs to stun them as soon as they came up (you can put each mob form all 10 waves you want to stun in a single stun macro) - its a 1 stun per wave thing though. I made sure I Hand of Sac when the big guys enraged in wave 4? and 10? (I can't remember). So make good use of the standard mouse over macros (you can find here and @icy veins).
Macro for stun is:
/tar MOB
/tar MOB2 etc
/cast hammer or justice
Dangerous waves were 2/12/22. Pop wings and big CDS to heal hard in that wave. Other dangerous waves were 7 and 9 although after researching wtf to do a lot of cds from wave 2 are back up for 9 so it's not that a big deal if your expecting it.
Make sure you help damage to activate class procs etc and help end the wave early so you can top up party for the next wave, whilst you think about the next one.
Be careful of the aqua bombs. Prioritise dispel on the party and move away for yourself so you don't have to worry about GCD or dispel being on CD.
Don't be afraid to stop what your doing mid wave (if safe) and precast / wait for a dangerous part and mentally rehearse what your going to do before it happens. Healing is about playing a few seconds ahead of everything - you will get behind if you are reactive not proactive.
There are plenty of guides about each wave on youtube and all are slightly different talent setups etc but remember HEALING is an art. - JUST HEAL and figure out each wave for yourself - as long as you have prepared correctly (as above) you will be fine - took me 3 goes at endless after unlocking bronze - gold, which I used to setup keybinds / ui etc earlier in the expac. (BTW when i did endless I had the experience of beating the mage tower first) so it wasn't that bad but it is my OFF OFF spec (i'm a tank not a healer). I spent WAAAAY more time getting set up properly (and thus unlocking endless) then actually doing it. If your struggling, hang in there, identify and work the problem to fix it (play with talents / gear / keybinds / UI etc).
It was a lot of fun going though this process and it has now made me a better tank (and player over all) and i know know how to set up ALL the healing specs after doing this. i'm now having a lot more fun with my alts in the dying days of Legion so GL / HF.

I did this today on my resto druid alt, because I geared him for the mage tower anyways. The way I did this is by unequipping my shoulders, wrists, gloves, belt and shoes, so basically any gear slot that either does not have a lot of stats on it or can not be enchanted with legion enchants, to scale it down. Although it worked, I'm sure this is far from the optimal way, maybe it even made it harder.
I think the optimal way would be to equip very high itemlevel (970+) chests, trousers and trinkets with your bis stats and the remaining slots with 600 itemlevel bis stats, if you can aim for sockets even better. Then ofc have a 75+ trait artifact with good relics and either bis legendaries or legendaries in the high itemlevel slots as stated above. Use legion enchants, gems, food, flask and rune. You could even enchant your shoulders with Pandaria enchants, I guess.
The theory behind this is that in legion the gear value inflated heavily, so a 970 item is way more worth than e. g. a 900 one and if you drop your average itemlevel by equipping 600 gear, the inflated gear should weight in heavily. Also the enchants, gems, consumables and artifact traits should be very good then, because they shouldn't scale down (they might be even so good that you should drop yourself to 615 average itemlevel no matter what by going lower on some of your high value pieces).
However, you don't really need all that, as I said I didn't have all of it as well (because my main has no heal spec) and still made it. The alt I used was ~ 950 bib with average legendaries and 71 traits.
Aside from the gearing aspect, write down the waves where you need a lot AoE and tank heals to time your cooldowns. Remember that every wave takes 1 minute. Drink every 10 waves.

Got this achivement now within the BfA pre patch 8.0 with my druid.
As I was not successful within patch 7.3.5 (tried with monk and druid - also tried with gear downscaling) i was suprised, that things went a lot easier with 8.0.
I did this with ilvl around 210 - using the heal legendaries

Got this today, left it until 8.01 before I attempted, but then again, I failed hard on my Druid was playing Disc Priest so I thought I’d take a swing at it.. I’m not a healer, but was quite interested to see me get gold status in a few tries.
Gear wise, I used the Darkshore quest items, Artefact Weapon with Argus vendor relics and my 2 items ‘Nero’ ‘Soul of the Priest’ rings.. Crucially, the crafted mana necklace levelled 10/10 for it’s 2k mana pot every 5 mins (super useful). The heal enchant on necklace, crit gems and enchants.
Play style wise, kept shield on tank at all times, used penance to heal the team when safe to do so by spamming shields. Spec wise 1,1,1,1,3,1,1 – Shadow Covenant is key, try to avoid using Radiance with occasional Shadow Mend on the 2 & 9 waves.

7 - Pain
8 - OK
9 - Shield
10 - Pain
Don’t forget to drink after the 10th wave. You will master 1-10.. then you will find your mind starts to wonder 11-20.. I found that by waves 21-30 I was super focussed out, but eventually after 4 hours of practise I was able to nail it. Coffee 4tw!

I am wondering if this can still be obtained now in 8.3? Anyone knows? I see the last updates are from 8.0.1 but I completed wave 31 endless healer and it did not pop up. I can confirm that this is still possible to complete in BFA 8.3
I'm a balance druid (ilvl 462) and had no problems completing wave 30 on all three trials, (damage, healing and tank) in my balance gear.
Didnt bother to continue after wave 30 to see how far I could get.
Just make sure that after you complete wave 30 you have to die or fail a wave to get the achievements. Dont leave the scenario.

This seems to be relatively quite easy now compared to former addons.
I really had to struggle with the DD event during pandaria (2996 points..) and finally managed to do it with a DK during Draenor. Just did it for fun today with my druide char I barely play with and managed it first try. No bragging, just saying its not a hard title/achievement to get anymore to be proud of and show off your skill. For the DD event 6 years ago I knew exactly what to do every wave, how to move, interrupt, CC, CD, position, kill cycle and so on. I even had a side of paper with every spawn from every wave on my table to have a reminder. I really had to practise there and basically KNEW my class.
Now I probably missed at least 10 things I had to do during former addons, but it didnt matter, just hot everyone when high dmg is coming and hit your "oh *!@#" tranquility button if its not enough. Most of the time you can dot the enemies to help your NPC group. If endless 30 would become a necessity as silver back in draenor at the start of the addon probably 50% or even more of the WoW players would make it after a little practise.
No wonder why there pop up more and more people with the "proven" titles from the nowadays forgotten achievement. Well, lets find out if the tank challange is that easy as well.
(edit: exactly 31 minutes and a half later (OCD kicks in to make sure).. yea it was... basically you have to know your tank basics, avoid damage, so the healer can DPS and everytime dmg is coming in, use a cd, taunt mob from heal etc. easy peasy. no knowledge needed of every spawn to tag the mobs early etc)
'tldr: So if you want this title, better get it now. Who knows if it will actually become as hard as during former addons again.
(edit2 after tank challenge: and can only say it again. If you really want the title, get it NOW. I even only had the quest bracers as a corruption item)
Thinking about it now, making titles achievable even years after the content is outgeared or in this case quite imbalanced kind of leaves a bitter taste. E.g. I think "Dragonslayer" is one of the coolest titles until now, especially for a hunter, but because every moron who can read about the boss mechanics can get it now makes it unusable. Imo Blizz should leave titles which represent skill not only to the addon, but to the patch alone, e.g. like Undying/Immortal. While Draenor still kind of was balanced with Proving Grounds, its not the case in 8.3.
Edit 3: Little update. Today I tried the DD trial again with my hunter to finally have a 3000+ score. Actually DD is still kind of challenging, but no comparison to Pandaria/Draenor. Yet you still have to time and use your kicks, traps and burst CDs and avoid the bern spheres. But most of the mob's health pool was lower, so its a very good time to get all your 3 titles. :D

If you want to be prepared to deal with an awful pug group, this is the trial for you! The tank doesn't have great defensives or self-healing, the hunter rips threat, the DPS are spread out, and they don't take the debuff away from the party when it's not possible to dispel both. I thought this would be easiest on my 447 evoker with healing gear, but the spread of the characters and heavy tank damage as well as mana hungry evoker spells made this a bit annoying to do. I was able to complete it on a 429 night elf druid with balance gear. Mana was tight near the end, but it helps to be able to innervate yourself near the end of every 10 waves. Don't forget to drink after every 10 waves, as well. Shadowmeld does NOT work to allow you to get out of combat to drink. I didn't use mana pots, but I'm sure that would have definitely helped.

Doing this in Pandaria Remix was kinda easy, but if you are too low lvl some mechanics one shot the guys. So I had to get to lvl 37 for the scaling to not be so stupid.
I got to wave 45 having never healed before.

I did this in remix while not being a very good healer or having very good gear, so it's possible for anyone to do.
Holy Priest, lvl 39. Gems and tinkers were disabled, so no jewelry. Cloak was at 346, total item level 76. All greens except for blue gloves and weapon. Thread count very low- 350 mastery, 500-800 other stats, 2k stam. Talents I mostly picked at random but focused on passive nodes so they don't really matter.
Important things to remember- First of all, keep Renew or an equivalent cheap HoT up on everyone else as often as possible. It was ticking for 10% of the tank's health and even more for the dps. Second, use buff scrolls- the two damage ones work, but only for yourself. But the Warrior att power, mage int, priest stam, and druid vers. scrolls all apply to the NPCs as well, Every little bit helps. Third, make sure you have your Dispel hotkeyed and ready- You can almost certainly survive the bad magic effect blowing up, even more than once, but dispelling as many of them as you can helps reduce the chance of bad luck killing that stupid hunter and ruining your attempt. Fourth, use nice big raid frames with class colors for your party (using both Edit mode and under Settings -> Interface -> Raid Frames) to make the NPC's health nice and visible. It will also let you see when the HoTs are about to tick off so you reapply them, or who needs the dispel for the magic bomb.
Just talk to the panda guy when you're on Wave 31+ and you'll be done.
The tanking and Damage ones are FAR easier.

You can do this very quickly in Remix with no experience as a healer.
1. Create a priest Timerunner on a starter account so you don't level past 20.
2. Buy the neck, rings, and trinkets from

2. Run ~20 heroic dungeons to collect sufficient threads, gems, and gear. You'll hit level 20 along the way, but keep doing heroics for the threads & gems.
3. Use

Prepare for Proving Grounds:
1. Equip gear & prismatic gems with crit, vers, and secondarily haste. My ilvl was 60, with 83% crit and 64% vers.
2. Equip tinker gems with AOE damage or CC procs. I used

4. Trailblazer and speed gems may also help a little. I didn't use meta gems.
Enter Proving Grounds:
1. Turn on enemy name plates
2. Start the trial
3. Once the friendly NPCs appear, buff them with all the scrolls you have, such as

Completing the Trial:
The final trick is to know exactly where each group of mobs will appear, be there before they spawn, and kill them before they have a chance to cast spells. The enemy nameplates will appear just before the actual NPC does, so spam

once you see the nameplates. If you don't one shot the NPCs that's usually okay. The tinker gem procs should hopefully keep them CC'd until they die after a second or third hit. I completed this without needing dispel and without a single debuff hitting the friendly NPCs. They might still get some damage, just top them off with Holy Nova.
With the door at 12 o'clock (same direction the friendly NPCs face), the spawn location of each wave is as follows:
1. Gold circle on the floor at 1 o'clock
2. Gold circle at 11 o'clock
3. 1 o'clock
4. 11 o'clock
5. 1 o'clock, delayed 11 o'clock
6. 12 o'clock (not on a gold circle)
7. 1 'clock
8. 11 o'clock
9. 3 o'clock
10. 12 o'clock, delayed 5 o'clock
This pattern repeats itself with waves 11-20 and 21-30, etc. Good luck.
