I'm hoping for a PvE expansion-pack type deal. Would be sad to have to basically abandon all progress I've made on my account, and would make it very hard to grind for more skins knowing another Overwatch might come out some day.Edit: Unless they offer the possibility of bringing all your skins etc. over, then I'd be fine with it.
This is great and all, but why does this show up in the WoW Classic News webhook?
The author of the ESPN article said later in a tweet that "to clarify from my original tweet, it is very likely the next iteration of Overwatch will not be 'Overwatch 2', but instead a variant of 'Overwatch: Chapter 2"https://twitter.com/Slasher/status/1188523983756496897?s=20Also "my previous tweet on hero 32 expected to be Echo has been deleted as it is likely untrue, and the story has been updated" https://mobile.twitter.com/Slasher/status/1188533248969887744
I wouldn't call it unlikely than. The name could be just marketing like "Hots 2.0".
I wonder how they manage skins and everything that people has on the original Overwatch, hope is not lost.
hmm I forgot about the potential split audience (between 1 and 2) but if the PVE aspect is significant I can understand why OW2 might be a thing since the current engine might not be up to scratch with doing what they wantif it is OW2 replacing OW1 I can see them porting over all your unlocks (skins / emotes etc). given the lootbox nature of OW1 I imagine they are currently tied to your account already
I hope that they keep the same cartoony and bright artstyle and don't go all grey and take a step towards '' realism ''.I really love the art of Overwatch and it'd suck if they went down that route which tends to happen with most things...
Would have been nice if this news was under some spoiler tag, for those of us who like being surprised by big announcements.
World of Warcraft next xpac was leaked at gamescom by the merchandise the only artprint they had there was the one currently used as the shop art and the bnet launcher PTR background art it is called World of Warcraft: The World Beyond . Also the description of the print at gamescom stated it as the next adventure.
I cant see them making another version of the game when they can just incorporate new stuff into the existing game and because they have committed so much into the current version with OWL. If they are developing new stuff, it'll either be an expansion pack attached to the current game or its just new stuff they're adding or plan to add in future patches.
I mean if they make a sequel then it will sell like hotcakes but it feels really kinda bad to have them put one out considering how much people have sunk into cosmetics and stuff
I'm not into OW anymore but if this is just a free expansion-type thing, I might become a bit more active again. Sadly I don't think it will be.
