Asking for layers to be removed, now they want them back.
To the people saying just transfer and they knew it was coming. Just a disgusting mindset to have. Of course nobody wanted layers, but that was 12 months ago. Realms should have never had layers and they shouldn’t have been allowed to get as big as they have, but here we are. Blizzard has proved that layers are here to stay by having them enabled for 95% of the servers lifespan. Flipping the switch overnight with no prior warning on the weekend of AQ opening preventing thousands of players from being able to raid is what’s gotten people upset, that’s after the blue post detailing they had carefully analysed the data, which clearly they hadn’t.
seems like the problem at least what i see is the server transfer to the realm that has AQ unlocked. prob better fix would be to turn off server transfers at the start of new patch/phase and enable it again well into new patch. That way people and guilds are not changing realms just for the sake of getting into the new raid faster and actually working as a realm to unlock the raid like how classic should be?.
You're quite funny guys!Move away from Arugal to go where? other servers are dead or PvE and no AQ there (and not before a long time). And as for players requesting layers to be removed, there might have been some, but a very very small minority. The vast majority of the server doesn't want those 3 to 4h queues and prefers to have layers.Stop being insulting when you don't know what you're talking about

People wanted classic because they wanted the vanilla experience. I guess some people forgot login queue times were also part of the Vanilla experience.
In regards to all the people commenting "It's your fault for picking a full server" - please educate yourself on the Arugal situation as it is unique in comparison to North America Megaservers. To give you all a bit of a brief background, Arugal is home to Australia, New Zealand, Pacific Islands, and South East Asia. This server represents the Oceania region best. When Blizzard announced Classic, they only gave Oceania one server - Arugal. They forced all of our countries into a single server on launch day, and only after launch they decided to introduce more servers for Oceania. This resulted in everyone pouring into one realm, after reserving their names and organizing their Guilds - and after the initial hype of the first launch day.Our server is massive, and due to all these countries no matter what time of the day you’'re on there’s a large population as our server covers a large timezone. The other issue is that all the other Oceanic servers that were created after Launch, migrate to our server on mass with paid server transfers as Blizzard continuously removes the lock. We can't stop growing, because Blizzard will not sustain the changes required to stop the continuous influx of players.Other servers are able to transfer to us, people are still able to create accounts despite having no previous characters on the server. We also had queues during the 10 hour war with two layers, but nobody was complaining as it was still sustainable.Nobody on Arugal wanted layers removed, outside opinions outside of Arugal should not be dictating their negative opinions towards us trying to find resolution to this problem. Our economy was healthy with two layers, both layers had a healthy playerbase - and we had systems in place to monitor World Buffs cross-layer pre changes to layer-wide buffs. #LAYERARUGAL
Nobody wants layers until they can't login.
i would like to say ive been think since march all servers over 4k players should be layered not just to fight queues but also to deal with the inconsistent economy on most servers
Remember when people said that layering would kill classic wow because it would remove the "community" aspect of the game? Now they are begging for layering.Interesting turn of events
Why do people generalize so much? Ever think that some people want layering and some people dont want layering. And when one group isn't getting their way they become vocal? Why are so many people acting like it's the same people saying two different things? Or lumping everyone who plays classic or retail in one singular common minded group ?

You would have voluntarily moved from AQ gates open server into low population server where its probably never gonna happen when you have fully BWL geared char, waiting months of mundane farming for new content? Even if dozens of guild made unified decision to move over there, opening the AQ gates again will be a tremendous task to do ... there are servers that will run fine without layers. but Arugal .... Sunday 2pm queves started, by 6pm they were 2.5k people and 160 minutes long ... good luck raiding
1 hour queue at 3.30pm on a Monday right now. Will be 3-4+ hours long by 6pm
Welcome to the classic experience.....
I wonder to what extent this mimics migration economics.... the raid is a resource and characters will want to move towards the resource. The only way to stop the migration is to open the raid elsewhere.
