In case this helps anyone else...

I was staring at this icon for about 5 minutes trying to figure out what the hell it was supposed to depict. Solution: it is a female blood elf with black hair praying, viewed from the side, and facing the left edge of the icon.

At the reduced size of the icon in the talent tree, it just looked like a giblet impaled on a cast-iron coat hook, which perplexed me to no end.

Hypothetical:

Target is at 55% health, I cast renew on the target. The target then drops to to 48% health. Does the next tick of the renew spell have it's healing increased or is this only applied to spells *cast* when the target is at or below 50%?

If you're a Holy Priest in Ulduar, it is very hard to justify not taking this talent. Test of Faith gives you guaranteed throughput when you need it the most. Realistically, many of the times that you're healing someone in Ulduar, they're already below 50%.

Does it offend you that much that someone would have such a differing opinion from yours that you not only out-and-out dismiss what they have to say, you go on a de-repping spree? Apparently I'm not the only one here who found your reply conceited and just downright condescending.

No, I have not been to Ulduar. Not yet. I've been geared for the place for 2 weeks and all I'm waiting for is the opportunity to go. That having been said, I really don't get the impression that you went in without Test of Faith got pounded and then said "omg ToF 3/3 now!" Oh dear, forgive me for committing such a blatant act of blasphemy against the Holy Gods to think I could improve my performance in another aspect.

Fact of the matter is: I don't like situationality. For raids, news flash--there's more than one healer. The big heals that would benefit from this talent are going to come slow, and I see it more as a main tank healer talent than anything else, because the skills that benefit from this most numbers-wise are Greater Heal and Divine Hymn (the eternal uh-oh button), and I prefer putting my abilities to full use for the raid, in which case no, they're not going to be below 50% for long. Not when a raid consists of multiple healers who will be getting everyone's health up as quickly as possible. I would much rather put my three talent points in the weaker but consistent Blessed Resilience than the stronger but inconsistent Test of Faith. And I have no doubt that it does work for you or any other Holy Priest who decides to invest in it. But your attitude that this is the only way, that 3/3 ToF of all talents is the must-have, the end-all and that anyone who disagrees is a fool is quite unbecoming.

So yes, I will be going to Uld without the talent, and like I said, unless I get the floor wiped with me for my so-called insolence of not taking 3/3 Test of Faith, I'm not going to get it. You can slit your wrists and offer blood to your punishment god to smite me down if you like. That's fine by me.

As for Serendipity, I find that talent much more useful than ToF. And since you took the time to visit that thread and derep me there as well, perhaps you'll also have taken the time to read what I said. I don't think Serendipity is worth all three talent points. 2/3 Serendipity has served my needs quite well, in raids or otherwise. Roughly a quarter cast time off after 3 stacks is still very useful. But frankly, if haste is my concern, I'd rather have some haste gear or trinkets to benefit all of my spells (including the GCD associated with them) as opposed to just two.

But alas, perhaps the world I live in where my play style differs from your cookie-cutter world is too much dangerous thinking for you to handle. I'd like to think that there are enough talents for a priest to custom-fit their performance to suit their needs as opposed to just one linear path. And so far that sentiment has not let me down. In case you haven't noticed, we're at the start of a new patch, and exploration is the name of the game. I've found the things that suit my needs, and despite what you might think, they don't have to coincide fully with the things that suit yours.

The spell text say: Increases healing by 12% on friendly targets at or below 50% health.

Arre the priest a FRIENDLY TARGET too?

Anyone else think the word "friendly" in the description is unnecessary? What other targets can you heal besides friendly ones?

Maybe this talent doesn't work on healing neutral-status NPC's who are below 50% health? Has anybody tested this?
