In this Thrall/Aggra quest chain each emotion quest gives you a bar which you must fill primarily by attacking and killing elementals that hold Thrall in...well...thrall. The larger elementals with more HP count for more than the smaller, easier to kill elementals. This quest, Desire, though has 2 parts. Not only must you kill the elementals imprisoning and attacking Thrall but you must save Aggra as well. Once you have filled the bar for Thrall and completed his half of the quest you must rescue Agga who's been encased in a bubble and is being drawn into the vortex to drown. Finding Aggra isn't easy, however. I lost track of her after freeing Thrall and despite the warnings on my screen could not locate her so I created a simple targeting macro, /target Aggra, and put it on my hot bar.

Because I'd already lost Aggra I had to log out and then log in again. I got on my Abyssal Seahorse and hit my macro button highlighting Aggra and making her easy to find. Once I reached Aggra I had to dismount. My cursor turned into a grasping hand and after chasing her bubble for a bit I finally grabbed Aggra...so to speak. She then releases and swims back to the point from which she was originally shouting encouragements to Thrall. What follows is some dialogue with a friendly water elemental before we leave for Deepholm and the next stage of the quest chain.

I was doing this quest on the PTR and noticed that my progress bar kept resetting itself. After about 3 resets at 50%+ i realized it was resetting when I shifted out of shadowform to heal. Is this happening to druids when they shift or even warriors if they change stances?

Aggra：A final vision! Ancestors...could those be... our children? This was his deepest desire...to be a father?

Aggra：...to have a family of his own...with me? Go'el never knew his parents... It was only a few years ago that he even found his people...I should have known this was what he wanted most.

Aggra：Oh, Go'el, hold on! I WILL free you! And you'll HAVE this life, I swear it!

Aggra：Ancestors, give me strength! The vortex's pull is increasing! It's pulling me in! The power of his longing...it's overwhelming!

Aggra：Fight this, Go'el! You've got to snap out of it!

Hydrius：You've done the impossible, <class>. You have stilled the vortex within him without losing yourself, in turn. Your love for him...must be very great.

Aggra：I need... the world...needs him whole once again. But he's always placed the needs of others before his own. How long has he suppressed these feelings - these desires?

Aggra：He must embrace them and find balance... or this curse will never end.

Hydrius yells：His aspect shifts once again! You are losing him!

Don't dive into the vortex like I originally did. If you do, there's an NPC in there that you can speak with to take you back to the top of Abyssal Breach.

Kill the Tides of Longing elementals (NOT the elite Vortex of Longing elementals) until your bar is full.

Once your bar is full, you'll need to target Aggra. I did a "/tar Aggra" and icon marked her to make her easier to find. I then chased her and freed her from her bubble (you'll see a hand icon that will allow you to grasp her). She'll then swim back to the location where you turn in the quest to her.

If you lose Aggra..

Make a macro and have it say: /tar Aggra - put this on your bar.
Log out, and back in.
Spam your macro and look for her on your mini map. Once you find her, right click on her bubble (A hand icon will appear), and she will swim back completing the quest.
Turn in! ^^

For Aggra, she will go into the bubble when you have to go save her from getting pulled into the Abyss.

All you have to do is go over by where she was standing where you got the quest from her originally and she will bubble from there and it should take you about 3 seconds to complete the second half. I've done this on two of my toons already with zero problems.

When I got back to Aggra, she initially didn't have a yellow question mark over her head. I just sat there for a long minute, and suddenly she did. I guess the idea is to be patient should it look uncompleteable at first.

If you're having an issue speaking to Aggra for quest completion/starting, you may need to:

Log in and out of the game
Wait for her to finish her dialogue

Also, as stated, a quick way to locate her is to type: /tar Aggra in the chat box; this will target her.

Bond 2, Water: The mechanic for this You get a bar and as you kill mobs a big mob appears (Vortex of Longing), you kill that mob and the bar fills up. The main thing you should do as your fighting is to listen to what Aggra and Thrall say. Swing your camera around to watch Thrall as you fight. The visions she announces are very cool.
When it tells you to swim to Agga and click on her then talk to her to move to the next area.

I had a devil of a time with this one. I saw her in the bubble right away, but could not figure out how to get her out.

If you find a fatigue bar showing up, go down as fast as you can. You will fall into the entrance to throne of the tides. There's an elf who will send you back up. (Don't teleport to your home city like I did, LOL.)

I also used eye of kilrogg to find her so as not to get sucked down.

Get close enough so that your little hand cursor turns into an open hand with a yellow border.

If you are using a Mac laptop, like me, hit the command key while clicking on the trackpad.

If you end up in the pool outside Throne of Tides like I did...speak to the Earthen Ring NPC to return you to Vash'jir and the quest site :)

If you DIE (PvP server ftl unless I'm the one ganking =P) It's annoying as hell...seems like you have to swim FOREVER to get back to the action but just keep going down, toward the Vortex in the center of the Abyssal Maw.

Just found out once you get to the part where Aggra is in a bubble, you might need to log out if you don't see her. For some reason the first time I tried to get her outta the bubble nothing happen at all. I relog, then there she was right in front of me in a bubble, right near the quest location. I didn't have to fight any elementals.

First go to the place where you first got the quest since this will help you trying to find her in the bubble. She just starts to hover in a bubble from the quest location, and since you know where she is, you wont need to protect her from anything considering she didn't move anywhere.

Whatever you do, don't abandon the quest if Aggra isn't getting sucked into the whirlpool. I did, and now I can't re-aquire it in Uldum bc she isn't there by the air elementals! I put in a gm ticket on it and they told me to find Aggra in deepholm between Deathwings Fall and the Twilight Precipace, but she wasn't there either. I'd appreciate it if anyone knows how I can re-aquire this quest line....

I've now down this quest line seven times for all of my alts and of course it became very repetitive and boring after a while. But I ALWAYS looked forward to this part.

The third and final vision, of his children with Aggra, is the most moving story/quest I've seen in all of WoW. (A close second was during the Fury part, when Thrall mentions Cairne.) The music was perfect, the voice acting was credible, kudos all around to Blizzard.

Does anyone have a good video/audio of the quest line or just this part? I've tried to find one, but no luck.

Omg I think my server was buggy when I tried this. I followed the help to a T and I could not pop Aggra's bubble. I tried logging, relogging, accidentally got sucked in the whirlwind and had to go back to the vortex (which was not fun). Then out of frustration I clicked on Aggra herself repeatedly near where her belt was and THEN it popped. Yeah....it was odd. I mean the mouse cursor was shown as a hand and the game gave me prompts about saving her but it wasn't connecting.

It's just like the error I got on Twitter earlier "The page understood your request, but is refusing to fulfill it." :\

My suggestion is don't leave this until you finish it. I still can't find Aggra to restart; checked both Deepholm AND Abyssal Shelf.

I never had to log out and back in to find Aggra. I just typed /target Aggra and there she was. I was having a real problem trying to get her out of the bubble until I sort of "got in" to the bubble with her. The grasping hand has to be yellow to get her out.

Well, that certainly sucked. Probably the all time worst quest I've ever done. However, thanks to all the hints I finally completed it. Going to the NPC to the left of the instance entrance helped if you got sucked in the vortex, as did the hint of logging in and out to find her, as well as the one about right clicking on the bubble to release her. Thanks All!

If you don't want to bother with macros, just make sure you are somewhere right close to her when you have your bar almost full. Drag your last kills in with something ranged and she pops into a huge bubble right by you, impossible to miss and completes the quest in about 1 second!

If you completely seem to screw up and get sucked into the vortex yourself without rescuing Aggra, don't despair. You'll end up in a lake somewhere and when you get on a thin band of land, look for the NPC near an instance entrance. After you speak to her, she'll transport you right back to where you were before you got sucked into the vortex. No need to log out or any of that.

So I made the mistake of leaving before I finished this part of the quest. Thought I could just go back into Vashj'ir, hop on my seahorse and ... where's my seahorse? Oh yeah, I didn't do the Vashj'ir quests on this alt. Don't make the same mistake I did; especially if you haven't done the Vashj'ir quests!

So my internet crapped out on me during the part where you grab aggra while she's floating into the vortex thing and I logged back in to find that my quest is complete, but I can't turn it in anywhere because aggra is not here. I've tried logging out and back in as well as /reload, unfortunately it's not working. Guess I'll have to actually redo this quest -.-

Make sure to don't fall under texture as I did when I charged an elemental with my druid, I ended up in the entrance of Throne of Tides without an option to get back but opening a ticket, it was funny but at the same time disappointing because how can you fall while underwater? lmao

I put a star raid icon over Aggra's head, which made her really stand out.

I did not attack either of the elementals that are in close proximity to her, and cleared the mobs around the rim, watching the progress with each kill.

When the "progress" bar was nearly complete, I pulled my final kill and did a very short kite so I was standing right next to Aggra when the mob died, and was able to immediately click on the "hand" once aggra was bubbled. Easy!

I just did this quest with my retadin. What I think the trick is to stay near Aggra when your bar is near full. The small Elementals give about 5 points, so when your at 90, swim back to Aggra and kill the ones near her. When your done she talks a bit so you still have time to swim to her before she gets into a bubble and starts being pulled. Just keep your mouse arrow over her and as soon as she gets in the bubble your arrow will turn into a hand, click on it and she's freed, then your done with this part! :)

1st day theres about a equal division of 40 players:horde and alliance so im wondering...what was it like for PvP servers? Chaos?

Accidentally wondered into the Abyssal Maw while trying to find Aggra.

Took the NPC portal back up top, abandoned quest and started again.

Edit: And re-logging to find Aggra works (if she disappears during the bubble phase)

Kill the Tides of Longing to fill up the bar. Though you can kill the Vortexes of Longing to fill up your bar as well, they are harder to kill. I think killing either gives you the same credit to fill up your bar. I didn't see my bar fill up any faster killing the Vortexes.

On my shadow priest, I killed 5 Vortexes fairly well with several self-heals and my shadow fiend but there is one that seems to be more difficult than the others because I got more stuns than I did on any other Vortex. I finally gave up on that one and went back to kiling the tides.

If you accidentally get pulled into the whirlpool where Thrall is and get sucked down, you'll end up in the Maw where the entrances to some of the Vashj'ir entrances are.

Speak to Wavespeaker Valoren near the Throne of Tides instance entrance to go back up.

I was busying chatting with a friend and missed saving Aggra. I didn't log out and was busy typing up these comments when Aggra reset after about 10 minutes or so and allowed me to save her again while she was in the bubble. You have to dismount any mounts to save her by right-clicking her bubble. Then put a symbol on her and follow her to turn in the quest. Logging out and back in again may quicken up the reset time.

After you turn in the quest, the next part of the chain is to speak to Aggra to travel to Therazane's Throne in Deepholm for the Into Constant Earth quest.

all you really need to do is go from side to side, keeping aggra in sight. wait for them to come to you. YOU WILL NOT LOSE ANY OF YOUR BAR. Once you fill your bar swim back to her (you should only be a few feet away) once it says "protect aggra" a hand will show click on her and she swims back. easy, peasy..on to the next

My curiosity got the better of me and I decided to get close to the vortex. Whatever you do, don't do this. You will be taken to The Abyssal Maw and have to talk to the lady near the instance to teleport you back, you will lose your progress and you're bar will be reset. Found this out the hardway with my bar at 90/100

Also, killing the Tides of Longing will fill your bar by 5, killing the Vortex Of Longing will fill your bar by 15

try not to target an elite, if you do and your fail to kill him, when you res and return your bar is empty and you have to start again
