After finishing the Harrison Jones questline I still needed a couple of quests to complete Unearthing Uldum. I went looking for this item, but after 30 minutes of farming I'm pretty sure this won't drop for me.

I have done harison johnes q-line and this item drops to me - there is written that i have done this quest . I am stuck at 107 and have no idea what to do ...

14 % drop rate my ass, I have killed like 200 officers now and still nothing. Clearly you need to do some quests before you can loot this quest?

I was stuck well before the 108 quests as well, flew over the whole of Uldum looking for a quest to start up. Finally went back to the Obelisk of the Stars and Harrison Jones had a quest for me. I guess it takes a while to show up after one of the quests he gives. So if you are stuck it might be a good place to check in.

Also book did NOT drop for me before I was sent there for a quest, then dropped off the first officer I killled.

I'm on 96/105 quests for the achievement and I've already done all the Harrison Jones quests an the Eastern Hospitality, book did drop but of course I got "You've already completed this quest" when clearly I know I have not. FML. (:

I have been trying for this to drop for over an hour...is there some sort of trick to it? I doubt the drop rate is 15%...must be much lower.

While farming Elementium in Uldum, I flew over the "Obelisk of the Sun" and decided to kill a few of the Troopers there because they decided it was a good idea to shoot at me. The third one dropped this book, and when I clicked it to get the quest, I got the message "You have completed that quest", which I probably have when questing in Uldum awhile back. Strange that Blizz still has it drop even if you've done the quest, and it can't even be vendored for a few silver.. ;-(

I'm still getting the book from these guys, even though I've completed the quest chain a very long time ago. I believe it's the fact I'm with a friend who hasn't done it yet. I assume I'll stop seeing them drop once he does the quest.

The quest chain given from this item, ends up leading to 3 very nice trinketsm listed below, and eventually to a Halls of Origination quest chain!

The "final" quest at Schnottz landing, which rewards the trinkets mentioned is Firing Squad
The Item rewards are: Talisman of Sinister Order, Schnottz's Medallion of Command and Harrison's Insignia of Panache

Although the Quest ofc leads onto more quests with harrison jones, eventually meeting up with Brann Bronzebeard, which ends up giving a quest for Halls of Origination! :)

The quest to meet him is called Heart of the Matter, which leads to Penetrating Their Defenses and the final quest is Doing it the Hard Way!

Penetrating Their Defenses Rewards: Repository Gauntlets, Boots of the Hardway and Offline Greaves

Doing it the Hard Wat Rewards: True Archaeologist's Bracers, Helm of Reorigination and Treasure Hunter's Gloves!

Doing it the Hard Way requires that you take the Elevator up to the THIRD floor, alot of people miss this and waste time running around looking for Brann! :)

You cannot accept this quest if you have done any of the Belloc's quests that start with Eastern Hospitality.

To those moaning about the inaccurate drop rate, see the comment here, in regard to the mob that drops this item.

The only way to get this quest is to complete all quests from Mack this guy, he gives you only one quest and you just have to follow the chain quests, the last quest will be Fai gli onori di casa this, after you complete this quest you will be able to take a quest from Adarrah this NPC, she gives you only one quest which will lead you to the guy which gives you two quests, after you accept those two quests you will be able to loot Scavi ad Alto Rendimento this quest, which is dropped by anyone at Obelisk of the Sun.
