As a hunter I'm keeping my Mort fluide and Essence du cyclone
According to femaledwarf.com this gives slightly less dps.

Has about a 60 sec ICD with the on crit proc...so roughly 70 seconds.

As an assassination rogue, this trinket is nearly useless (even reforged) when compared to even non-heroic rogue trinkets. Seriously Blizz...couldn't you share the love a bit?

It's interesting looking at the Brewfest trinkets, which were based on the first tier of the WOTLK badge trinkets. This particular one is based on Mirror of Truth, and the ilvl has been bumped up accordingly to Cata levels. The basic secondary stat and proc, however, remains the same.

During BC, the first iteration of the trinkets came from the ilvl 110 trinkets sold for badges by G'eras. The physical DPS trinket was Bloodlust Brooch, and its Brewfest version was the Empty Mug of Direbrew.

Wowhead is currently wrong on the question of "can you disenchant this (at 475 Enchanting)?".
I have tried disenchanting all the trinkets with my skill level 525 Enchanting toon and, sorry, runs for Maelstrom Crystals are not feasible as of today.

The think about this trinket is that it only proc on crits, but it give almost at much AP as Heart of rage (normal) and can proc at the same time as heart of rage, witch i think is a great think when you need to do some insane damage, im a fury warrior, and injoying the F...ing big crit when both trinkets are up runing. so i think Heart of rage (normal) and Coren's Chilled Chromium Coaster is almost the same AP wise, maybe Coren's Chilled Chromium Coaster is even a little bigger because of the crit on it, been testing them on dummies for 3 hours now and the dps difference is about 100-200 dps. i also think that if you have a high crit chance the Coren's Chilled Chromium Coaster is better because you have a higher chance to have a high up time on it

This one comes in surprisingly low for all Rogue specs according to Shadowcraft. It's so bad they didn't even bother to give it a reforge value. It's worst for Rogues than reg blues and even several strength trinkets! Doubt this will be fit in to any of the EJ Guide's Rogue trinket charts.

Edit: Okay the EP value went up a little bit for this today actually and shadowcraft gave it a reforge value but it still comes in below Unsolvable Riddle.

Pretty nice for warrior pvp, quite insane burst with a reckstorm.

A must have for an MM hunter during gearing, insane amount of crit and a lovely procc, overall a nice trinket.

Based on ForteXorcist. The Proc is called https://www.cuckhead.com/cata/spell=101287.

It has an ICD of 45 seconds.
Based on the Trinket math its 4000AP * 10 / 45 = 888.8 AP

This trinket procs almost immediately after the ICD is up on my enhancement shaman. It should for all melee and ranged classes that have a decent crit%.

Doesn't seem to proc as much on my Retribution Pally. Although Crit is their 2nd best stat and some can be reforged to mastery.

And someone said it wasn't good for rogues. It is not good for Assassination Rogues since they don't stat for crit rating. Crit is weakest stat for Combat as well. It will benefit Subtlety the most.

It should benefit Hunters since crit is their best secondary stat and it can be reforged into hit or haste based on their needs.

Crit is weakest stat for Frost and Unholy DKs. There are probably better blue trinkets like the https://www.cuckhead.com/cata/item=56393.

This is also a decent trink for Fury and Arms warriors. Crit is their strongest secondary stat and takes 2000 Strength to get 4000AP. This trinket for a warrior is like having a static 444 STR.

For a MM hunter with Mort fluide and Pierre d'alchimiste de vif-argent, some extended time on the dummy showed that switching in this trinket for the alchemist one lowered dps by 500-1000.

This is because, like the 80 versions, they can't be disenchanted. It would devalue Maelstrom Crystals to the point of them being cheaper than everything else. :P

Well, yes, the "cannot be disenchanted" is exactly what I had tried to point out, I mean, that's my very first line, after all... for some reason, people keep downvoting my original comment though.

I suppose the "sorry, runs for Maelstrom Crystals are not feasible as of today."-part wasn't exactly taken too well, either by people who wanted to do just that (and now got reminded that they can't) or for people who don't even want ideas like this so much as considered, due to their preciously valued Maelstrom Crystals and their local server economy for Enchanting mats.

tbh, I have no personal preference as to whether that *should* be feasible or not - I was merely stating the fact that it isn't... but... well... whatever... I guess people have prefered to see my statement as to be of a rather malevolent kind... :o)

Nevertheless, for the record: wowhead is STILL wrong on the subject of "Disenchantable (475)" as of (see timestamp).

Coren Direbrew keeps down-rating anyone who says agi trinkets are better

I'm beginning to suspect somebody - using maybe even more than one account - is downrating pretty much every comment on the Brewfest trinkets (or at least every comment other than his own), completely independent on the content of the downrated comment, just in order to get his/her rep up.

On this page for example, there are just 5 comments with positive ratings, 10 negative and 3 "zeros".

3 comments have been deleted and I'm pretty certain that the commenters who deleted their comments were trying to stop being downrated any further.

Anyone else thinking of "foul play" here?

Does anyone have data on the use of this item by a ret pally? I know it sounds a little crazy, no strength and AP on proc. But there is a dps modeling site that shows this as one of the higher rated trinkets for pallies at this time.

I'd like to know if anyone has any thoughts as well as actual numbers. As RAWR is still not functional and redcape's spreadsheet isn't the most user friendly (perhaps my fault) it's hard for me to evaluate.

I DO feel like it is an upgrade over "License to Slay." Why? Cause my numbers do look better especially on longer fights and in groups due to party / raid buffed crit.

Please don't start telling me that I need the heroic Aparatus, etc. If I had access to it or seen it drop I'd have it. I just want to know if anyone else has tried using this on a ret pally or even a warrior and what their experience has been.

A second part to my question would be:

What are you guys using to assess gear combo's? Ask Mr. Robot is ok, but I don't think it takes into account set bonuses or procs.
