Vous trouverez ces champignons lumineux en masse surtout immédiatement à l'est du Lac des Furoles, dans le Marécage de Zangar. On peut les apercevoir de très loin grâce à leur couleur rouge orangée très reconnaissable.

With a 280% mount and no herbalism its possible to travel faster then these load. I found it to be easier just to collect on a 100% ground mount.

They are VERY annoying while gathering herbs. You have to check the yellow dot herb name on minimap in order to avoid them...

These no longer appear on the mini-map if you have Herb Tracking. Don't waste you time staring at it, go close to the ground and look for the red-orange mushrooms! (They have a distinctive orange glow.)

Can confirm they don't show up with Detect Herbs on. Pretty easy to spot though. YOu can even collect in battle prety easily(well I could). the Hewn Bog is full of them(the orgre filled area mentioned above).

I had a hard time finding these until I finally stumbled across one. Then I realized they shine a wide beam of orange light straight up in the air like a little flashlight standing on end. Once I saw that I could look out over the marsh and find them much easier.

Yes, there a lot in the Hewn Bog, but not as many as you think. I was farming these for the pet, recipe, and tabard(42 spores). I am at 32 now, and it's been an hour. If you are going to farm these for the quartermaster or profit, your best bet is to check (36, 48). There are 4 or 5 on that island alone. They respawn in less than 10 minutes. Fly to around (32,42). Wherever you see ogres, there will be Glowcaps. Glowcaps can also drop from the ogres in the area, but it is a VERY low drop rate. Kill them if you want, but your best bet is to farm them the good ole fashioned way. I usually play with my graphics set on low for a high fps but for this task I made sure that I could see far into the distance. Glowcaps will have a giant orange light coming from their tops which is very easy to see if you fly around that area. Happy hunting!

Edit: Appears that these do still track IF you have the quest for them.

Handing in 10 of these Glowcaps awards 700 rep with the Sporeggar. From Neutral to Friendly, I handed in 40 Glowcaps. I didn't try to see how far I could go with them but the blue question mark was still above his head so I'm guessing it's all the way to Exalted.

If you use the Carbonite addon (available from Carboniteaddon.com), even if you aren't an herbalist, you can right click on your map and select the "show" option from the list. A sublist will pop up. Click the "show herb locations" option and it will track glowcaps for you and show you where you find them at to make them easily locatable later :)

Has anyone else had them disappear out of inventory? I have been farming them for a few days while doing various quests because I knew I would need them when I got to Sporregar and when I got their they were gone. And I just had one disappear right out of my bag between the quest giver and going to get another quest. ?

They can be hard to see if you fly around on 280/310 mounts. I can recommend switching to your 'regular' ground mount, as the objects will have more time to load then.

You will need 10 x Glowcap to buy a Sporeggar TABARD, once you have reached Sporeggar=Exalted. You can buy tabard from many vendors , even the one in Stormwind, but normal currency is not accepted. Gotta be 10 x Glowcap.

They are used to gain Rep with Sporeggar.
But don't do as I did,collecting 60 of them for several hours,just to find out that you can't turn them in after you got friendly with Sporeggar....:(

Yea, these things are everywhere. Even without herbalism, there's a ton of them around the ogre camp you can see too.

Herb skill lets you track them,but anyone can pick them.They are all over the marsh,just look for the yellowish glow on the ground.You can trade them for decent stuff,but nothing great.At Exhaulted you get a Mushroom tabard :p

One of the best place for getting these is Hewn Bog, where Ango'rosh Ogres and Boss Grog'ak are.

These are "currency" for the Sporeggar faction, to buy items from their Quartermaster once you reach at least Neutral faction.

These glowcaps can be turned in to Msshi'fn in one of the huts.

10 gives 750 rep and you can do so till you reach Friendly. You first have to reach Neutral with them to be able to turn it in. Easiest is to collect Mature Spore Sacs south of the village and give to Fahssn for his repeatable quest.

the mentioned cords of 35,33 has a couple of shrooms around, but happens to be the center of the Hewn Bog ogre camp... Either it's a smartassed post, or it didnt occurr to them that there are areas to get these caps which are much closer to sporregar, and without an entire village of adds...

Just skirt around the horde village (careful not to arrgo the guards by straying to near, if you're Alliance). There arnt any real pockets where these are densely packed, & they can be obscured by larger shrooms & trees, just keep an eye out while in this area & youll get a few... quicker to make various trips after respawns than to drift all over hopeing to stray across one

The easiest way to get glowcaps is to first go around the outer edge of Orebor Harborage and collect all the glowcaps there. Once you have collected those ones, head down the path that leads to Zabra'Jin. Along this path there will also be many glowcaps. Finally, once you reach Zabra'Jin, head around the outside of the town and collect the glowcaps underneath the mushrooms. If you are Alliance be careful not to aggro the horde guards at Zabra'Jin. Once you have done this and if you still need more, do the path all over again and the glowcaps should have respawned.

These things collect so easily it's almost not fair. If you're an herlist they will show up on your minimap. I found 20 of them in less than 10mins around the horde camp and towards the steam pump north west of it.

Chapeluisant is a quest related item - you need to collect 10 to complete Les chapeluisants and Plus de chapeluisants quests.

These mushrooms can be found around Sporeggar and many of them can be found to the north within the area with ogres who harvesting big mushrooms.
Chapeluisants are easy to spot from afar, they are orange and glowing. They also can be harvested without the quest so you might carry some in your backpack already.

Some here said this shows up on your minimap if you have herbalism. They either lied or this only applies to TBC. I can confirm it's not the case in retail. Even if you have herbalism, you're going to have to look the hard way like everyone else.

During Hated and Neutral, you can complete the following for Fahssn:

During Neutral until Exalted you can complete the following for Gshaff:

Plus de spores fertiles (750 rep)

From 0/6000 Friendly until Exalted, you will require a total of 312 Spores fertiles

During Friendly until Exalted:
