I have engineering on my tankadin now.
And the main reason why i had it, was so i could have a ranged pull that would not break rogue sap.

Well the Avenger's Shield does that now anyway...
and there is an entry lvl BoE epic helm from blacksmithing reported

So im scratching my head wondering what engineering is going to have for me in WoLK

If they do make the AH bot and this Mailbox bot..
It might be enough reason for me not to take up JCing
They had a mail box in the BC beta that never made it out cause stuff was getting lost in the mail.

It states in the description that it takes "bids" that means you won't be able to post auctions in it. That'll limit its usefulness but also makes it more likely Blizzard will keep it in.

If this is the case that will weaken my justification for Engineering over JC
Although i doubt i'll personally make use of it for my own sales anyway (i'll drop it for others)
I make frequent use of the repair bot now. Its use has saved many of my groups from falling apart when struggling with Heroic MgT

Blizzard has stated time and again that they want us to travel back to the Old World for the AH, trainers, and the like. Perhaps we'll just have to go back for trainers? I wonder what kind of frame loss you'd get when going: "Opening an AH in Dalaran." Would be even better if Engineers got a cut of the Auction's cut.

I can see maybe if one or more raid members just bought a flask or other consumable before a raid and forgot to visit the mailbox, you can pop one and save some time instead of having to port and re-summon them.

As for a non-raid use, if someone just can't drop a single item and they must mail something to an alt, using it is an option - albeit an expensive one.

Either way it's another long-dormant item finally getting its due, and the more gadgets we get to make, the better

Since it's not stackable it's most likely reusable. I'll try to check it when I'll get my eng to required level.

So I made it and tested it.

Facts:

It IS reusable i.e does not destroy itself on use.
You can mail the mailbox itself, doing so will reset its cooldown for one who received the mail. If you send it back to character you used it with, it will get cooldown again.
After 5 minutes mailbox will just fade away.
It has unique model and does not look like any other mailbox (screenshot submitted)

For those wondering, MOLL-E can be used to send/receive mail by anyone of the same faction, regardless of whether you're grouped with them or not.

The opposite faction cannot use it - similar to how a Warlock's Ritual of Souls or a Mage's Ritual of Refreshment behaves for Horde if summoned/created by an Alliance player, and vice versa.

Judging by your screenshot it is true that the MOLL-E box does not look like any other mailbox, however it is not unique. That same model is used for the gnomeregan quest Essential Artificials.

This is really useful when you have the newly formed "Mammoth gang" in your city while playing the AH. (the "Mammoth gang" has Elekks, one person Mammoth mounts, and three person mammoth mounts and will crowd all the mail boxes in one city for up to half an hour to the point where each mailbox is unusable.) You can simply activate the MOLL-E and voila! you and everyone arround you have a mailbox uncrowded by the "Mammoth gang"

What's truly amazing about this is that it literally gives you infinite bank and bag space. The cooldown is long, but you could mail to an alt, and then mail to yourself consumables you use while farming. Pots, food/drink, etc.

So this basically gives it a dual purpose:
- Unload your full inventory
- Restock items you're low on

I can't wait to get one. 390 engr

An undocumented change with today's patch (3.0.8) is that MOLL-E now has an 8hr cooldown. Very nice :)

There was a short lived bug with this where people could send any item to any character from a Moll-E mailbox, allowing low level alts to receive ridiculously high level items and use them provided they had no level requirement (pretty much all quest gear). Was patched within a few hours, but made it live long enough for people to apparently discover it and exploit it.

1) Pop MOLL-E (There's no mailbox in Moonglade)
2) Buy Elune's Candle (unique)
3) Mail Elune's Candle to (bank) alt
4) Repeat 2&3
5) Wait some time after Lunar Festival is over ...
6) PROFIT !

Just a note: when casting MOLL-E.. step back away from any large object or you will inadvertantly put MOLL-E inside said large object making it unusable ... found this out the hard way =/

as a side note the scrap bots also share this annoying trait and will completely dissappear inside MOLL-E if you're not careful.

Useful for the "For the Horde!" or "For the Alliance!" achievement after downing all of the faction leaders, if your raid members are impatient and want their bear now for a cool group screenshot. :D

Yes, if u log off and then log in again it stays.
Logged out for 10min and it still was there after i logged in

I still think 4 hours is too much. They put it on 24h cooldown, then 8... now (3.2) will be 4. What's the point of dropping a mailbox tool if you can use it every 4 hours? I understand they want us to visit capitals but 1 hour would be more than enough.

One of my alts is an 80 rogue with engineering. I was making a new character, and the last thing I wanted was to run to TB to get my heirloom items in the mail or whatever the nearest mailbox is. So I ran to the starting area, dropped the mailbox, and then logged on my level one and got my heirloom items. Saved me some time with those pesky level 6 wolves.

Since we all know Blizzard needs to buff Engineering even more, they should make MOLL-E periodically send out a pulse that knocks everyone back a few yards.

You know why. Damn Tauren and their mammoths. I put one down in Grizzly Hills the other day while doing the PvP dailies there, and one came up attempted to smother it. You'd think mailboxes in not-Dalaran would be safe, but no.

NOWHERE IS SAFE.

when summoning your MOLL-E, don't bring it out on a boat, wait before you get on, or after you get to your destination. it disappears similar to when you're mounted and it zones from where it's leaving. ie; SW to NR, and it's CD doesn't reset. don't know if anyone tried this, i just found out the hard way :x

Wow chill out rambaral you have been here since day 1. Big deal! He was just pointing out that it's useful. If you want to get your mail or recieve mail and GO OUT ABOUT YOUR BUSINESS it's useful for those blocking the mail. He didn't mean that you are supposed to try to "SAVE STORMWIND" and help EVERYONE recieve mail. You can just open it up in a secluded area if you like where they won't see you and get your mail and go about your business. It only lasts ten minutes anyway so it's not like he would lose his spot on the main or ask another mount to go run and sit on it for ten minutes. Geez
