More Patch 3.3.3 Models & Icons: Lil' XT, Halion's Servants and More!
We've dug up some new 3D animated models and icons out of the latest batch of PTR data - no amazing celestial horses this time, but instead a strange and quirky little addition to the cute pet armada -

Patch 3.3.3 Models & Icons: Halion, Celestial Steed and More!
Hey there Wowhead readers! We just wanted to take the opportunity to share with you some cool 3D (animated!) models and icons that we have discovered so far in the Patch 3.3.3 data! Sadly there's not too many icons yet for all our forum-goers' avatars, but the ones we've found are
incredible
!
We've got models for some amazing new mounts, including a beautiful spectral steed, a strange two-seating rocket mount, a blazing hippogryph and a big ol' wooly rhino! We've also found a new model for Anduin Wrynn (the only character ever to "age" in WoW?), a cute celestial wyrmling pet and the violet dragon

- a new boss in the upcoming
Ruby Sanctum

3.3.3 PTR Patch Notes Updated
The PTR is currently down and is being updated to a new build, but in the mean time Blizzard has updated the PTR Patch Notes!

Included in this new build are several changes to some classes, such as
裂伤
's debuff duration increased from 12 seconds to 60 seconds. There are also other class changes for Mages, Rogues and Warriors.
Another little gem was added in this build was the ability to your frame rate to an eye blistering
200 frames per second
.

Let's Fight! Players vs. Blizzard in PTR Battlegrounds
Have you ever wanted to stomp on some

Today between 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM (Pacific time) members of the Blizzard Community Team and QA staff will be queuing up with the Random Battleground Finder on the US PTR realms of Broxigar and Anasterian. So bring your main or alt or even one of the premade characters, and show them what you got!

3.3.3 PTR Patch Notes Updated!
Blizzard is already updating the Public Test Realms with a fresh new build, including some very interesting changes to the Dungeon Finder tool and Holiday bosses.

In addition, Blizzard has also included a small number of class changes and change that I know pet collectors everywhere will love -

(the Engineering-required non-combat pets) are no longer Bind-on-Pickup! Now our fellow engineers (or skilled alts) can make these lovable little explosives for any non-Engineer's collection!
Blizzard have also completely revised the way Holiday bosses (such as
埃霍恩
,

, the
无头骑士
) are handled. Players will now be required to use the Dungeon Finder to queue up for these special event bosses via an NPC dialog option. Upon defeating the boss, players will each receive a single loot cache containing a rare, "special" seasonal item. Players will be able to kill the boss for his other drops as many times as they'd like, but can only receive one of these seasonal goodie bags per day. Looks like the days of endlessly farming these seasonal bosses for hours on end trying to get their rarest drops (like a [item=378

Frozo the Renowned: Upcoming Frozen Orb Trader
As some of you may have a very large collection of
冰冻宝珠
hiding in your bank (I personally have about 100 of them), you will be glad to know Blizzard will be adding a new vendor in
patch 3.3.3
in

where you can trade in your Frozen Orbs for trade goods.
His name is
Frozo the Renowned
and he will trade your frozen orbs for select goods such as include
十字军宝珠
, eternals of every element,
雪莲花
and even a tailor only Frosty Flying Carpet pattern!

Patch 3.3.3 PTR Patch Notes Posted!

Blizzard has not yet released any information regarding the release date of the next patch, but with confirmation that we'll be seeing a Patch 3.3.5 (featuring the
Ruby Sanctum raid
), and maybe'll they'll fit another patch in between the two so hopefully it won't be too long before we see some of these awesome changes go live.

Patch 3.3.3: Upcoming Wintergrasp Balance Changes
Patch 3.3.3
is hitting the PTR soon and with it come some changes to
冬拥湖
that will change how it works from then on. This also comes along with the other battleground and honor system changes discussed about
yesterday
.
Blizzard has never before revealed details of the inner workings of the Wintergrasp combat system, which favors certain sides based on how long you've controlled Wintergrasp recently. The entire explanation of the changes being made to the hidden system is posted below.

For everyone who thought

Patch 3.3.3: Major Battleground and Honor System Changes
There are some major changes coming to battlegrounds and the honor system in the near future, and we should be seeing this hit on the PTR shortly.
Some highlights include the
removal of Marks of Honor

battleground weekends

New Mount: Invincible Charger
Blizzard has just released a preview for a new mount being introduced in
冰冠堡垒
.
The
Invincible Charger
was once Arthas' warhorse before becoming the Lich King and once he gained his powers he rose it from the dead making it his perfect steed.
To obtain this mount you must conquer Icecrown Citadel and face the Lich King on
Heroic
difficulty. Only one will drop from
巫妖王
on heroic mode, much like how
米米尔隆的头部
drops from the heroic version of
尤格-萨隆
.

Season 8 Armor Sets Preview
With
Arena Season 8
approaching a lot of people have been curious about what the new
Wrathful
Gladiator sets are going to look like.

Suspected 3.3.2 Patch Notes Posted
WoW.com
has discovered the patch notes for the upcoming 3.3.2 patch on the
official Korean site
.
It has some noticeable changes in it for druids, shaman, warlocks, and warriors as well as some nice fixes to help make some of the dungeons run smoother.
As we indicated
last week
, we will NOT be seeing the patch this week -- but on
February 2, 2010
.
The team over at WoW.com was able to translate most of it, but as translations are never perfect, some of the wording might be slightly off. You can read the translated patch notes after the break!

PvP Resilience Buff In Place for Season 8
As mentioned two days ago in the blog about the upcoming
Arena Season 8
, Blizzard has decided to hotfix a buff to resilience. This will
double the value
of resilience in reducing damage done by players, depending on how much you have you could see between a 10 and 20% decrease in damage taken.
The critical strike chance and critical strike damage are unaffected by this change. Blizzard also mentions how this might make healing in PvP difficult to counter and may make changes if this occurs.
So what does everyone think on this change? Is this good or bad for the PvP community?

Frostwing Halls Open in 2 Weeks
The Frostwing Halls in
冰冠堡垒
are set to open in 14 days, or on
February 2, 2010
.
This is the final section of Icecrown Citadel. In here you will face the last three bosses:

himself.
There will be a patch sometime before this (most likely on the 2nd itself) which will patch in the new in-game cinematic, among

Arena Season 7 Ends, 8 to Start Soon
With arena season 7 coming to an end tomorrow (Jan 19), it is about time we all look forward to the next arena season.
暴怒角斗士
will become the new season's high-end set costing arena points and having rating requirements on most of the pieces.
Relentless Gladiator
pieces will have a lower arena point cost than the previous season and rating requirements lowered or removed. Next,
Furious Gladiator
will be moved to the honor point system. Finally the
Deadly Gladiator
set will be removed off all vendors.
New Damage/Healing Debuff?
There is also a major change that might happen for the last season before Cataclysm. Blizzard is considering experimenting a little bit, as mentioned in the recent Twitter

:
Q. If damage and healing is too much per health ratio, then why don't you have battlegrounds/arenas give a -30% damage/healing debuff?

Second Gate In Icecrown Citadel Will Unlock In 28 Days
After defeating
死亡使者萨鲁法尔
in
冰冠堡垒
it has been discovered that speaking to your faction's NPC (Muradin or Saurfang) will tell you how many days are left until the next gate's unlocking. Right now it is listed as 28 days which would put the unlock date for North American realms on
January 5, 2010
.
If these numbers stay consistent between wings we most likely won't see the Lich King until
March 2, 2010
. I know it sounds like a long time but maybe this will allow them to test and tune the encounters a bit before we hit those dates and allow a lot of people to catch up so everyone has a larger pool of players to work with.
Update 2:
It seems our assumption that the rest of the gates will be on 28 day timers was wrong. Daelo has just corrected us and the extra long wait on the first gate is because of the holidays.
As noted in game, the release of the Plagueworks in Icecrown Citadel occurs 28 days after patch 3.3.0 was released. After the Plagueworks is available, you will then wait less than 28 days for the next
