In Hallowfall we'll help the Lamplighter in events where players collect Radiant Remnant and then Contribute Radiant Remnant on Keyflames (up to 20x, everyone can contribute) to trigger bonus objectives and Elite Rare spawns, or on Lesser Keyflames (3x, player-specific) to spawn NPCs with quests and special vendor purchases (usually things to help with the events) for Hallowfall Arathi reputation, Resonance Crystals, and more.

When you activate the Lesser Keyflame in the Torchlight Mine area, Attica Whiskervale will appear with a quest (probably Glow in the Dark) and some dialogue about Captain Lancekat. When you read everything about the Captain, Tale of Tails will also be available. Accept both quests to make sure you'll get Attica's Cave Torch because you can't complete some of the required steps without its Attica's Cave Torch aura or a similar effect that reveals hidden items like the Patrol Torch (vendor purchase from Yorvas Flintstrike when you activate his keyflame).

Head to the entrance of the Coldshadow Cave, and activate your torch to reveal Beef when you come close, grab the lynx kitten, and leave the cave. Outside fly around and Grab three more Lynx kittens. Then return to Attica and turn in your quest to receive Thunder.

If using Sentry Flare Launcher to locate Beef, it won't detect outside the flares yellow glow. So, cover every square foot starting by the big rooms pool. Mainly found there. /way #2215 66.31 15.69 Beef in Cave

For those specifically having issues finding Beef, do the following:

1. Light the Lesser Keyflame at /way #2215 64.38 18.74 Torchlight Mine Lesser Keyflame
2. Speak with Attica Whiskervale who appears on the stairs and buy Sentry Flare Launcher from them.
3. Go into the cave at the following coordinates /way #2215 66.31 15.69 Beef in Cave
4. Fire the flare around this area and you'll be able to find them.

If it doesn't find them on the first shot you might have been a little off. Fire in a wider area and keep looking in that small part of the cave and they will appear. They are on the cave floor near the little pond, not up on the ledge.

if the coordinates posted here aren't helping you, in the northeastern section of the cave are two little pools of water; on the same level as the rest of the cave near those pools of water is a red bush, a largeish rock along one of the pools' edge, and a cluster of five smaller rocks that between the three landmarks, make up an equilateral triangle. Beef is in the triangle—not exactly dead center, but close enough that if you were to flare in the center, you should be able to reveal him (he's near the line between the two rocks).

You CAN'T find Beef using the Flickering Torch Flickering Torch

darn cat was so hard to find I went and found my old wowhead login just to submit a screenshot with flare location to make him show up. hopefully it get approved before anyone else wastes time searching the cave with a flickering torch that doesn't work. and uses the shot to see where beef is in relation to the three water pools since the other shot was so zoomed in I couldn't place it.
