I usually play ranged, either archer or mage depending which class looks the best in that game.
mage,black-mage,sorceror,wizard,nanotechnician basicly any caster with big booms
I suppose my choice often depends on the game itself, certain games I feel have a better connection to a mage and some seem to favor a big bulky behemoth of a warrior, it's sort of a feeling I get when I start to play and how I'm feeling when I make or just start a character. Most of the time though, I like speed, the faster the better so whenever possible I go for the dual wielding swords. It's such a rush when you see your character fly and spin across the screen cutting and maiming the forces of evil!If that isn't possible however I'll try to go with a range type class, preferably with bow and arrow. You know you're a bad ass when the enemy can't even touch you before being dropped like a sack of bricks.Although casting classes will always be interesting if for no other reason than using some of the more outlandish spells you can usually find in role playing games. Like making it impossible for an enemy to even hit you because of a misdirection hex or turning an enemy into a frog or turtle.I suppose that's why I enjoy playing RPG's so much, because of the differences in classes and abilities. While I do still enjoy playing games where you start with a predetermined main hero. I will always enjoy the process of making a character I can call my own in all it's uniqueness. I love the fact that I can make my character an entity to it's own, an individual I've hand crafted to the task of saving the world.
Typically melee, or a shape shifter of some form.
I almost always prefer the stealthy, stabby rogue type in rpgs, so no one was more surprised than me when my main in WoW ended up being a paladin tank. I'm still not sure exactly how that happened, but I love playing him and my raid loves having me as a tank, so I'm not likely to ever switch.
Tank of course. With that amount of HP and armour; you dont even want to see any class else.. (=
When playing any RPG I always stick with heavy handed melee classes, Warrior or Barbarians. I am just a hack n slash type of person!
Normally I'll play a range class. But i love having a Range/Melee hybrid class.
Typically play a melee class like a warrior/barbarian. Nowadays I play a warlock though.
