I tend to play a ranger type character. Someone who can blend in with nature, is deadly with a bow, but can mix it up melee style it it comes to that. In wow there wasn't a stealth element to the hunter when I started playing, so I play a feral druid. Cat durid is 4 fite!
Caster class (preferably mage). What other class allows you to become invisble, make copies of yourself and still, burn everything in your way? :D
I usually start off playing as a "balanced" character where I can and then always end up drifting into a more roguey/offensive caster class. Such as Shaman or a sneaky archer that uses some spells.
I think mages, rogues or warriors are all narrow minded. I like versatility and harmony - ideal proportions of mind and body. In addition there is something magical about hand-to-hand combat. Considering all this i always choose monk class.
Hmm, this is a good question. It really depends on the game. I have a tendency to play the long distance or stealth types. In WoW, this has lead to my main characters being a Hunter, a Rogue, and a Mage respectively. In games such as the Eder Scrolls series, I tend to be a combination of the above: a bow/magic user who works tirelessly to remain stealthed and hidden. I've just never been able to get into the style of the fighter. I can't do the whole "pump up your health and take damage" type. It's just not my style, as I prefer to deal moderate-good damage while taking as little as possible. After all, one who lives can fight another day, but if you die, you can't. Why take extremely unnecessary risks when you can safely pick them away from a distance?Well, that statement doesn't work so well in video game terms, but my point still stands.
Ranged DPS gets my motor going.
I used to like being a caster, watching frostbolts and fireballs fly towards my target but now I love charging into battle, hacking away at a huge foe as a melee or it might just be I started to not like running out of mana and being very squishy lol
I love playing 2 handed weapon classes in RPGs, or someone that can use a bow. I dont know why though, I tend to not play caster types, I guess they are just not my thing.
I used to always play a melee of somesort, usually the paladin or the warrior, but lately ive fallen in love with the caster classes :D
Fighter usually with big two-handed sword of dual wielding if I can manage it. Lobbing in spells or arrows from the back row is for girly-men.
