I'd like to see them bring Diablo and StarCraft into the mix.World of Blizzard

I just hope we can get Two more expansions before WoW Dies IF it dies, And if it does die then I hope they make some sort of World of warcraft 2 Sort of thing like ( World of warcraft : New dawn or something).
I'm a WotLK veteran. My gaming partner/boyfriend is a Vanilla veteran. We currently play the game, but during our experience with WoW, we have quit the game twice. The first time was because of financial trouble. We came back in Cata to pick up raids again, but the guild started dispersing. People were quitting left and right. They didn't leave because the game was "too hard." They left because it got boring. We did Dragon Soul so many times, that being in the place disgusts me now.Eventually, everyone we knew found better things to do. Come Mists, there was only a few of us left. And Mists was even worse.Let me explain why we quit the second time:The game got excruciatingly boring.I hate LFR. Cry all you like, but it's lame as hell. We couldn't do real raiding anymore. Every good, potential raider left the game. There were tons of raiding guilds on the server, all doing ten man raids, and didn't have room for us. None of them were competent. Meanwhile, we were stuck doing casual LFRs because there was nothing else left to do.LFR just doesn't feel the same. It doesn't have the amazing feeling I used to crave and love. Actual 25-man raids were the REASON to play WoW, and it was a damn good reason. There was something amazing about killing the Lich King with 25-people after months of work. It was an accomplishment, a great feat of hard work and strength. LFR sucks that feeling out of me and feeds it to trolls who repeat "lolumad" all the damn time. Yeah! I am mad!Still to this day, hardly anyone (on my realm) does real raids. It's all-casual-all-LFR. We returned to the game after eight months of absence, only to come back to a realm that was almost desolate. It was medium-high in population when we left eight months ago. It's a barren wasteland now.I have no issues with casuals wanting to experience content. I just don't think they deserve to get rewarded for doing practically no work. Hell, sometimes auto-attacking. I think LFR should have a normalized gear-cap and offers no gear rewards. They can find another way to award gear to people who want to start the LFRs. With a lack of reward, people might actually take it seriously. They might actually work together, and if they don't want to do they, they won't queue. All the better, in my opinion. Stay in Orgimmar on your damn mount spamming trade chat like so many of you do.Another issue with MoP is those F***ING DAILIES. Who wants to do dailies? I can't think of a single person who WANTS to grind rep via dailies. My suggestion? Stop making so many damn dailies and make just one single quest-line story that gives you big chunks of rep per quest. At least the quests change! At least they're interesting! Those damn dailies were one of the reasons I couldn't stand MoP, as I'm sure it was with so many others. It's a chore. It's a pain. It's not FUN BY ANY MEANS. YOUR GAME SHOULD BE FUN.In response to other people's suggestions:WoW should be F2P. Yes, it should!"Ehhhh then it'll suck because people will have to buy stuff in the store to be good!"I'll give you an example of a game that is free to play: EverQuest. In EQ, there are three account types: F2P, Silver, and Gold. The difference between them isn't very big AT ALL, and that game is still running, still alive, and it's fifteen f***ing years old! It didn't "die out" like you think WoW will. It STRENGTHENED the game, not made it worse. How it works is: you draw in more players with F2P, they love the game a lot, then they think "hey maybe I'll get a Silver account so I can level this character more that I love so much!" Then they level it more with Silver, and think "Hey, this is really fun, I'll get a Gold account now!" I had a Gold account in EQ, and they rewarded you for having it by giving you Station Cash, and with Station Cash you could buy-- get this-- in game store stuff like mounts, which people in WoW are already doing with their real money as we speak right now! How is that ever a bad idea? It works! And Blizzard should try it!"Ehhh I pay my fifteen bucks a month, I can do whatever I want!"You know what? That's the problem. Why are some of you so bent out of shape and elitist over FIFTEEN BUCKS? You think because you pay fifteen bucks that you're better than everyone else? Yeah, get over yourself. If I turned in my stockpile of bottles I'd get the same amount of money you claim makes you so important."Ehhh, they should appeal to the lowest common denominator so everyone can do everything and it's easy and blahgblahdfhfwehg."What happens when you appeal to the lowest common denominator is exactly what is happening to WoW RIGHT NOW. If you appeal to the laziest among us, pretty soon, those are going to be the only ones playing the game. Every other person who DOESN'T want to play with lazy people are going to quit, and they have been. All of those subscribers? People who don't want to play with people who don't want to put in any effort! Now, the only ones left are ones who still don't want to put in effort. You might not like hearing it, but it's the truth. Blizzard killed anything fun about their game (excluding PvP... I love PvP. That's why I came back. Please remember that I said that before going "why don't you QQ more and quit... again?") and appealed to people who want to take the easy way out. The people who wanted a challenge see no challenges. I don't even like PvE anymore. It's mindless. It's boring. It's pointless and stupid. A monkey could play it. Hell, a monkey could probably do it better than me at this rate. There are other games out there that try to copy WoW and everything it does, so I can't leave WoW, because every game I play, I'll just be comparing it to the (Wrath of the Lich King) game I love so much. And it's because I love it that I get so angry with people.P.S. "WoW2" is a bad idea. EQ made an EQ2 and it bombed and people just wanted the original game back. Same thing will happen here.Blizzard keeps saying it's the game's "age," but I honestly see that as a cop-out. Again, EQ is fifteen (maybe more) years old and still has plenty of subscribers.
I still remember back when I was first starting to think about playing Wow, the TV commercials were advertizing WoW as the largest, and most successful MMO ever. That was when they had 4 million subscribers. By the time I started, I think it was up to 5 million, though maybe 6, can't remember for sure. Regardless, the numbers released today still show it having many more players than when I started, and that was 6, 7 years ago or so? I honestly can't remember how long I've been playing this game. It almost seems like it's been a part of my life since... well.... forever. 7.7 million is still a ton of players. Yes, it's true that they're not evenly spread out across all the realms, so some realms are barely active while others are overcrowded. That's to be expected. People play this game, not robots or anything like that. So why is the game losing subscribers? I think age has a big part to play in that. This game is so very old. The basic gameplay hasn't changed since it came out. You still do quests, kill stuff, whatever it takes to gain xp so that you can level up and increase your character's power. When you hit the level cap, you work on getting new, stronger gear for whatever it is that you are interested in. You maybe go back and check out some of the stuff you missed or skipped while you were leveling, you try to find rare and unique items or treasures.... It's all very much the same as it always has been. It's an old style of play. Nothing particularly wrong with that in my opinion, but not everyone thinks like I do.Another thing to consider when talking about this is what else has happened in the world. Not every unsubscribe is because of something that was or was not changed in game. Often times it's more about what changed in life. There are several folks in my guild that have had to unsubscribe for many different reasons. Some couldn't afford it. Some didn't have the time to put into it anymore. Some even had a move where they just wern't able to play anymore. Any number of thousands of different reasons is possible as to why someone no longer pays for WoW. Tring to pin it all on any one item is short-sighted at best. True, some did quit because of these particular changes, but not nearly as many as others would want you to believe.I can honestly say that, when I heard about Cataclysm, I knew right away that there was going to be subscription losses. Why? Simple. Because the vast majority of the "new" content, the content that was worked on for and completed specifically for cataclysm, was leveling content. They spent a lot of time and money reworking old zones and content, rather than actual new stuff. That's not to say that it wasn't needed. I think anyone who's been playing WoW since before Wraith knows that the old stuff really needed some work. Everything was scattered without any real sense of progress or reason as to why you were doing all this stuff. I think that's one of the things that really helped drive the user count down in cataclysmMists was the expansion where nearly everything that they worked on for the expansion was new content. There was almost all new stuff without a lot of changes to old stuff, and that provided a great deal of stuff to do during mists, but one other thing has really happened between Wraith and Mists besides Cataclysm, and that's the absolutely huge amount of resources and out-of-game content that there is. Think about it for a moment.... How much does everyone now know about and regularly use sites (like wowhead here)? How much has the quality of that information improved since the Burning Crusade days, when I started playing? There is just so much more information and so much better quality information than before, and it's all being seen more often by the player base. I believe that this is a major contributing factor to players thinking that the quality of the game has dropped. All in all, I'm not really worried about anything going crazy anytime soon. Though I will say that if WoW goes F2P, yeah, I might play it for a bit longer, but I've played other F2P MMOs, and they are nothing compared to WoW. 800 pound gorilla? Yeah, I think that might be an accurate comparason if you think of the other games as Chihuahuas. Just the plain amount of things that you CAN do in WoW dwarfs any other game (at least in my limited experience). This might be why people are getting bored... they just can't decide what it is they want to do. The game is still grindy, especially if you want any of the rarer items (I'm still working on getting my battered hilt. Been working on it probably since 5.2 doing about 3 or 4 runs a week. Yeah, I could do more, but just don't have the time for it, ya know?)There's definitely improvement that could be made to the game. I'm not at all saying that WoW is perfect. But I think we really have to take a step back and actually look at things from an objective point of view. Compare statistics, analyze trends, both in game and in world, and really take a look at this beast we call WoW.In conclusion, let me first apologize for the long, possibly rambly response. But to sum it up.. this is just news. You can take it at face value, or you can try to understand everything about this news. Pick your poison, and hope your antidote is strong enough
Oh and another legit gripe I have is the Valor Cap! Raise it? Maybe. It's a toss up with me but definitely when my toon is capped at 1000 any subsequent quests, raids, scenarios or whatever else that would normally give me Valor just give me Justice then! That way we can accumulate JP and upgrade Heirlooms buy tokens an upgrade pets whatever. My main gets capped then on my alts I run and cap quicker due to the buff "Valor of the Ancients" which I f-ing love that! Buy the guy/gal who came up with that a Fat Tire on me!
Lol a lot of mad people in this thread :D
I've left WoW for the time being (Hello from GW2!), but I do plan to come back at least for the final raid, because damn it, that's what got me all excited for this xpac in the first place. As for if I'm done forever... well, I suppose that depends on how the next xpac looks (I'm sure they'll announce it at Blizzcon, which I will watch), and if I can get excited again. I used to be one of the people who shunned f2p, but having fallen in love with GW2 and its Living World events... it's not that bad an idea. Could WoW pull it off? That's debatable. Still, even as I don't play right now, I do keep up to date on the patch notes and everything else. This game still has some of the best lore by far of any game I've played, but I just don't feel the pull to it that I once did.
Shift away from the current grind-based model. Make the game fun again. It requires more work and imagination from the developers but yeah. Who knows what the future holds.
WOW needs graphics evolution. You see games like assasins creed, tomb raider and then you open wow and it looks like pacman. IMO many things have to evolve, a totally new wow must be revealed in order to attract new players, the only thing blizzard does atm is trying to keep the old subscribers.I dont feel that they are trying to bring something new and huge to the players. Adding flying to the game was a huge evolution but thats it, they have pushed this so far and fed us with hundreds of flying mounts like its going to change anything in the game. They struggle to keep us in the game with dailies (which feel like work and not playtime).I am emmotionally connected to this game like thousands other players but now it feels like a bad addiction like smoking, you like it you know its not good but you keep doing it. This has to change... we need new things to see. I remember the 1st time i saw darnasus "What a beautyfull place! i want to hang out here..." i rembered the 1st mount i got on 40lvl and the excitment i had when i purchased it... all this ...GONE... WOW DO SOMETHING PLZ
The thing That blizzards Subs is that People thought MoP was to easy and the people wanted the game to be harded and they thought the game was a joke because they added pandas.
Many games that are free to play have other features to pay, like changing hairstyle , getting the high end armor, getting to new zones etc.....while wow offers you a subscription for as long as you wish and u get everything free. And no player can donate or become much pro than the other players with money. So the game i think is fair...and the price is fair
