10%-30% does not matter, takes a few hours to get to lvl 120 from 110 not like before. I can't even finish 1 zone and hit 120 already. Getting more xp is not motivating at all. 10% gold? instead of 17g I can get 18g 70s? Nope that doesn't do anything either, even getting 20g won't do. What might work: buff the less experienced player. Wow keeps track of the honorable kill. If player with high number of honorable kills attacks a player with very low honor kills should get a challange right? So let the less experienced get a buff for extra strength etc while in combat with that player. If the weaker gets 3x more HP it would make the whole thing more challanging right? Well maybe, but in that case even the gangkers would stop pvp-ing as there is no more easy kill. World pvp is only fun for the person who finds a pray. Nobody want's to be a pray. That's why many people turns off WM. If I quest I don't want to be ganked. If I want to pvp I que up for random battleground, and ready to die. In the BG's like 50-50... either win or loose. Only reason I did some pvp in this expack is for the recipes did not care what is the outcome was. Spent few days with it and actually learned couple of things so yes improved in rotation etc. but still pvp is just pvp. Pvp based games boring because instead of content developers try to make people wasitng time on killing each other. I love wow because of the stories not because of the stupid pointless pvp. I prefer cooperative game plays more hence like dungeon / raid content much more. Even if blizz would raise the bonus to 500% I would still not turn on WM.....
It's been said many times, and it's true on both sides--the racials are stupidly imbalanced. Horde and Alliance should have the EXACT SAME RACIALS.Once upon a time, there were Horde Shaman and Alliance Paladins. There were no Horde Paladins (because Horde are evil, see?) and there were no Alliance Shamans (because Alliance aren't druggy wiccan heathens, see?) and Alliance dominated the progression PvE races because BLESSING OF SALVATION that only Pallies could do.So, instead of giving Shaman the equivalent "Smoke a peace pipe" for less threat, they simply gave the Horde PALADINS. They also gave the Alliance Shamans, which nobody cared about back then because Shamans sucked. But Holy Pallies were OP. and SALVATION was OP.Now, we've had this same stupid imbalance in racials forever--WOTF, EMFH, SM, HARDINESS, ZERKER, etc. Just do the same damn thing and make each faction have the same exact racials.Give both factions EVERY racial, some classes can really use it... hmm that 1% holy damage reduction is pretty amazing and aoe death bomb, actually give me arcane torrent instead, thanks.Remove the imbalance by giving both sides access to the exact same racials, just like both sides now have access to the exact same classes/abilities.

Turning on Hordemode EVER. lolNothing is worth getting camped at every flight path or getting run over by a throng of Hordies that swarm every WQ.
War Mode is a sick idea, that has split guilds and friends who used to share same world - some PvP'ing, some not (at least on our PvE-server). Now we have to meet in major city and coordinate Worm Mode if we want to trade or do things together.I used it on my first 120, but will never do it again.HATE WORM MODE!
Actually what would have worked best is buff weaker side "Alliance" with 35% buff and reduce stronger side "Horde" to 5%. That should teach those faction switchers some lesson.
Stealth:If you have warmode on, give a stealth spell (like rogue stealth) if you think trouble is ahead. Once you're in combat you can't use the stealth. Rogue vanish or hunter camouflage for everyone that has warmode on, but not so you can use it constantly of course, maybe with the 'right' amount of cooldowns or whatever mechanism to prevent continues use ?ehm, right, so every class a vanish spell or camouflage for x amount of seconds if you think you're in trouble.Sure it would make the pvp a lot harder... or attach a range to the camouflage or vanish.You get struck by a enemy faction enemy.. you can use camouflage, but if you're 40 yards away from the player that attacked you then you have to become visible no matter what. Ehm, okay, haven't thought thouroughly about it.. just briefly.. so yeah, this idea could be very very flawed, plus rogues wouldn't have a signature ability that belongs to the rogue class. Same for hunter camouflage of course.I don't know.. just thinking "out loud" a bit.
I dont think it will help at all. The lowest pop faction still will not complete quests if the opposite dominate the map. Maybe instead of 30% increased rewards, do a 30% increase damage/defense and 30% less duration of CC ?

I like Wowpallias answer, it might actually work, and scalling is already a core part, seems like it would be perhaps the easiest to implement?
The solution is pretty freaking simple, remove racials, period, or at the very least just the combat racials. I don't want to see that happen, but it is literally the only way to give complete faction balance a real chance. Horde overall have the better racials, which is why they are the most popular, particularly at level cap, I researched it recently because I had been under the assumption for years from the last time I checked(during Cataclysm) that the numbers were still pretty close with a very slight tilt in the Horde's favor, but currently at level cap it isn't even close, the Horde dominates. I forgot the site name but you can check the numbers on basically anything, and I was astounded when I looked up the "Top Raiding Guilds" list, no exaggeration it was about 95% Horde. That is pretty damn telling there, isn't it?

Someone please explain to me wtf a racial would matter when you're getting attacked 5 vs 1? How this discussion got hijacked to be an argument about racials is just amazing!I see the problem on both sides, Alli and Horde (just more often by Horde simply because Alli have more cowards playing with warmode off).The problem is really simple. Blizzard will not do anything about the few toxic players they have ruining the experience for others (on both the Alli and Horde sides). I often wonder if it's because the Blizzard employees are toxic players themselves?The solution is also simple, keep the shards capped as equal numbers on both factions (as others have mentioned). And keep them capped, don't let ppl jump shards to join raid groups. Ideally no raid groups at all, the point is to keep it 1 vs 1 (within reason of course).If they did that then these shards would be better than the ridiculously one faction dominated PVP servers they replaced.I also think they should have decent guard NPC's. Horde should not be able to dominate alli towns in alli zones (and vice versa), that's just stupid.
Blizzard needs to do something about the Alliance creating shards with 40 player raids in War Mode... they get the bonus and are exploiting the bonus given... how about having any raid only be able to shard with another raid...and limit the number of horde/alliance groups in each shard... we already don't want sharding but if you are gonna force it on us make it fair... nothing is worse than a solo player being steam rolled by 40 players...
The incentives are very lackluster, unless the turn it up (i.e. add reputation gains to the 10-30% bonus). There is little reason for Alliance to play punching bag, 25% of 5 manapearls is 1 manapearl, 25% of a 136 gold reward is 35 gold; it is simply not worth getting killed two or three times to finish a WQ, meanwhile the Horde get the 10% benefit with little to no risk. Alliance simply avoid confrontations even if they seem equal at first, the odds of a Horde player (or 3) passing by and joining the fight are overwhelming.
