Warglaives of Azzinoth are not iconic to Demon Hunters. They are iconic to the classes that utilized them back in BC.
If it is a quest reward like Dragonwrath or Shadowmourne. Ok.If it's a drop from a boss, it's not ok. It's more like a damn trophy than anything.Warglaives and other legendary that you could obtain by just dropping it, should be transmogable if you can wield it.
What a Joke the Warglaives are sword for many classes since BC other classes are as legit as DH to transmog them. I cant transmog the best sword of the game.
So, for those of us who've had the warglaives taking up space in our bank for maybe 10+ years in the hopes that one day we may be able to show our original Illidan ganking magnificence once again, have the value of our unique reward diminished in favour of not upsetting the DH?Get stuffed Blizz.
Damn it! I had my glaives long before any DH did... The timewalking glaves sheath frorward while the normal ones are backward so at least you could distinguish them that way. What a shame blizzard, seriously. I had been gearing up outlaw rogue the last few months all hyped up to use my glaives and be a badass and now I'm probably just gonna go back to dagger rogue... zzzzzzz way to ruin everyone's fun blizz
The sodium content in this thread is very high.
What about the legendary bow? Can hunters get some love?
what about thunderfury? it isnt mentioned in this article. will it be transmogged?
Furthermore to the DH 'unique reward' that might be diminished.... it's nothing more than running BT during Timewalking after already having the Feat of Strength of having looted the warglaives before. It's no more special and unique than having them in the first place on a rogue/warrior/DK/Monk etc.Is the ego of the DH so fragile that they can't stand anyone else having the appearance of using a warglaive, even only one model? Oh wait, yeah, forgot, Demon Hunters, Fragile Ego....that's a requirement for the class ;)You know how Blizzard could not 'diminish the value of that unique reward', ie the Cheesement of 'I'll hold these for you till you get out'... Change it so the Arsenal: Warglaives item unlocks the tmog for *all* the classes that can use the glaives, not just the DH. That way Blizz get to keep their precious Timewalking incentive
I see it this way! Blizzard: "Let's announce a month before the release of the patch that legendary weapons will be mogable. This way everyone will spend their money to renew their subscriptions and farm them but 2 days before release we will announce that Warglaives will be ONLY used by DH's."People farmed these blades for YEARS! Some of them had them since TBC covering with dust in the bank and now guess what! They continue to be useless. Then please make Shadowmourne exclusive for DK's, Thunderfury for warriors and paladins (since it was mainly used by tanks), Hand of Ragnaros to Enhancement shamans. Oh wait! they can't use 2H... They can but it's useless. But it will be exclusive for shamans. Why not? (many comments above mentioned some of these)Blizzard has lame habit to give something great and exciting for players and then ruin this to the ground...
I got my warglaives on my monk. Yet when they said "demon hunters only" after making them available to transmog in BC timewalking, I went "eh, makes sense, I suppose" - it's not like DHs had choices unique to them outside of the two pairs they got in their start experience and their two artifacts. Although I admit part of me finds it silly that they had to make a whole new weapon class just for them. They didn't do that with death knights for "runeblades"...Yes, the weapons have been around since BC, but at the same time, the restriction on them has been in place since they were made available in timewalked Black Temple. Part of me wondered if that would change when it was announced ALL legendaries would be moggable in this patch, and I am honestly not surprised that it didn't.
That warglaives excuse is trash. I had been holding onto those things for 10 years after earning them and now only a single class they pulled from the nether can use them. Its like they actively go out of there way to mess with people. Its the stupid small decisions like this that are often the last straw for people.

That Warglaive decision is rather unfortunate, but I am also sad that Dragonwrath is not available for warriors... had pretty awesome transmog with my fury warrior, dual-wielding Dragonwraths on the PTR...
Mmmmmmmm.... rogue and warrior tears - soooo delicious XD... Came only for this, and this comment section exceed all my expectations :DSomehow all rogue just silent about the exclusive legendary dagger... class specific, oh yeah! No other, right? Also, they had to revamp the Thunderfury (DUAL!) for them, still...Good job Blizzard! As rogues got an unique lego, DH's got one too! keep it this way, perfect way for the transmogs!
Love all the crying about dh getting warglaives from the classes that get the most options for transmog. Lol
