I feel like the warglaives not being mogable attracted a little too much hate. It's not that big of a deal, like come on. You could not mog it before, you can not mog it now. End of story.I would actually be quite happy if they changed them to actual warglaives, because lorewise they are. Also they are quite the iconic weapon and it would ruin my gameplay experience a bit if I saw literally EVERY rogue and warrior running around with them. That's the part I didn't like about Legion as well.P.s. I do not play DH btw before people come with that.
Why would you even do that in the first place? As a rogue you have no business even equipping legendary iconic demon hunter weapons.
Currently, legendaries cannot be used for transmog. Soon, some will be with exceptions. Nothing was taken away. Please explain to me the issue.
Personally, I don't really care. Just beacause every single char I pass by will have a legendary transmoged, so it kills my wish to transmog them at all. xD
Rogues got unique legendary but still complaining about DHs getting warglaives. Bros, do you even lores? Nobody cares that you farmed them %^&*less, you got your own legendary which fits perfectly with your lore.removed
Yeah because every char actually has a legendary to transmog... they take 6 months or longer of quests and collecting ^&*! from bosses not exactly easy
Warglaives are a weird one. I get DKs, warriors and monks not getting them, DKs and monks only have 1 spec that can dual wield anyway and fury is no longer 2 1 hands like in BC, but I don't get why rogues cant. The lore reason makes no sense because glaives are widely used by the elvish races and some trolls , and the war glaives illidan uses aren't even his, he killed the namesake of them and took it off him so claiming its DH only because of lore doesn't make sense. Saying it diminishes its value because heaps of people will have it (like they claimed with legendaries) is defeated by the existance of artifact wepeoons, and the fact even when DHs could mog the war glaives, not everyone had them, and saying it diminishes the achievement required to currently mog it is weird because, you know, you don't need to clear BT ona demon hunter, or get the glaives, on them to mog it anyway.. The "overuse" of legendaries will die out anywayI personally don't care anyway, the only legendary I will use is shadowmourne and thordril, but I just find the situation with war glaives is weird.
As a death knight who farmed the crap out of BT to get the glaives (and who only has the offhand.......twice) this really really sucks.Demon hunters have access to several gorgeous and extremely detailed glaive models. The warglaives of azzinoth are the only glaive that non-dhs can obtain. Its more than a little unfair to be denied this one model.I hope they change their minds about this.
0/10 on the warglaives. The time walking trash is around twice a year max vs BC was 13 years ago and will never be current again. With the low drop rate, even running on multiple alts takes months or years of farming. “Diminishing the value of that reward” is a cop out and a garbage one at that.
IMHO Blizzard handled quite some communication regarding 8.3 very poorly. The situation regarding the Warglaives transmog was one of the prime examples. PTR players asked about the transmog situation on the PTR forums, the thread is actually pretty big and I am not even sure if there are more threads, yet there was not a single blue reply on that matter. While I am not effected by the new transmog stuff, I think it is kind of lame to highly raise hopes at Blizzcon, maybe even have some players farm the Warglaives in advance, just to give them a last minute middlefinger.Another example of poor communication would be the Worgen heritage armor, which has been heavily criticized in so many places, with a lot of fans providing selfmade examples on how to easily improve the armor, yet Blizzard hasn't even responded once on that matter.
The warglaive thing is really disappointing. I farmed those things on my monk, and even put together a fun Pandaren DH mog outfit to use with them. Got a few chuckles from people when DH were first added and was looking forward to revisiting that. As others have said I think it would have been better to change the timewalking reward to an updated version and not restrict the old ones.
While it sucks that a DH is the only class able to mog them, I am curious if a rogue that collected both glaives is able to add them to the collection.
You are just jealous because we are the superior new badass class :) if you really want the warglaives, roll a superior demon hunter, or alternatively, stop complaining, we aren't going anywhere
I find the bias that Blizzard has been giving to Demon hunters a bit too much with this, aside from their overpowered leech that makes them a virtually unkillable dps class in pvp, they now restrict a transmog to it alone, a transmog that was desired, farmed and an iconic part of warrior and rogue flair during it's high time and a universaly desired transmog on future classes added later on. Demon Hunter NEVER EVEN GOT TO ACTUALLY USE THESE, they are disrespecting every other melee dps class to give flair to an ALREADY UNIQUE CLASS, they got the wings and meta and fel fire from warlocks, they are the only ones who can use warglaives, they got unique voices and tattoos and flaming eyes, they can glide and are virtually the only class in the game who can use leech effectively. If they want to make DH feel special, by all means give them the third ranged spec and make them behave LIKE AN ACTUAL DEMON HUNTER FROM WARCRAFT 3 ....... but taking away things that are iconic and beloved to other classes and using them to buff their favorite classes seems to be the new norm for Blizzard, warlock was visualy butchered on his abilities and his spells ( burning ember flaming effect, metamorphosis/dark apotheosis, verdant spheres, uniqueness of fell fire, skulls in shadowbolt and chaos bolt, and previously the old death coil ) visual effects were given to DH and Mages in legion and previously to DK , Legendaries that were used by most melee classes can not only be used by demon hunters. ROGUES HAVE A UNIQUE ARTIFACT APPEARANCE IN LEGION, IS THE EFFORT PUT BY A ROGUE IN GAINING THAT APPEARANCE WORTHLESS ? should they not also get Thunderfury as unique only to them ? I truly love blizzard games with all my heart :( but sadly it seems in recent years the company has made decisions that seem based on the logic of a stupid marketing advisor or politically correct imbecile that upholds shallow values and political themes in the game and story , instead of doing what they did before, what made us love them, making a game by gamers for gamers, where everything is supposed to be fun and epic and awesome and make you feel like a hero, or villain , like you are part of an truly unique story .
Pandaren with warglaives is exactly why it's good that it's restricted to demon hunters, I'm hoping that they won't make stupid pandaren demon hunters like they did with death knights
