GODLIKE!
Holy....Dang that looks awesome!
It's nice and well-made but it isn't WoW.
Gorgeous!
This is Awesome!
It looses its charm honestly.
Hey, Blizzard, see this? Make this a new game, call it WoW 2 and I will come back on my knees to play it.
Lol, it took a hard-to-navigate, generic-looking city and made it even harder to navigate by making it look even more generic.
Very impressive work
That is a good looking city! It would look even better on fire and in ruins with Anduin drawn and quartered and hung from the citadel. :-D
So when are we revamping WoW with URE4?
Of course this looks good. For now.I mean it's impressive, to see stormwind like this. But still, Warcrafts current artstyle is superior, because it's timeless. Some years into the future, this will look really old and not interesting at all, unlike WoW, because it found its distinct own style. If you try to look real, you will end up like aion or many other asia MMOs, that advertise themselves with "astonishing and/or beautiful graphics".And if you look at those games today, they're just meh. Even WoW classic looks better than those.
I wonder how well the game would age with that sort of art.Part of wow's longevity is that it's chosen a distinct artistic style & avoided realism. "Realistic" visuals have typically aged really poorly so far, whereas stylised (cartoon) art just relies on being continuing to be visually enjoyable. On the other hand, there's a flat out limit to just how realistic a game can get before it's indistinguishable from a photograph & Daniel L's work is definitely stretching towards photorealism.
that moment when you realize you have that set as well
I'm normally against the "soulless" unreal remakes.. but this looks very good.
