This actually great for the game, but giving weapons like Doomhammer and Ashbringer and the other's "mythic" / special, don't make sense. They should create new weapons...Also what they did with Druids its great, but shows lack of will to do to all weapon's / gear. Druids should always show there's armor attached when change form.
Except for the part for Shamans not being able to equip swords
Please, Blizzard, don't give Beast Master hunters a gun! We want a bow as well! Besides, guns are loud and annoying! A bow is so much better for the hunter! Thank you!

For Icebreaker it is unlikely to be a mage weapon as an Arcane mage will likely use a wand and off hand or a staff. The Frost and Fire mage weapons are already confirmed. What other classes use swords?
There aren't going to be any other NEW weapons, BUT you can use OLD weapons to mog over them.
Quite looking forward to these, especially Icebringer and Soulreaper :)
I really hope they make the frost DK weapons to sheathe on back
Aluneth is 99% the Arcane mage artifact, in the Legion feature overview trailer at exactly 1:27 Aluneth is shown. What you can see is a female human wearing the mage character creation/level 90 boost gear. And given that the Frost and Fire artifacts are already released, I can safely say that this artifact belongs to Arcane mages.
it has a viking symbol on it who can be viking bloody paladins? nope they cant its a prot warri weapon ofcourse
Looking at the hand on that hammer in the last image, thinking might be a variance on Ashbringer? PvP maybe?
.
All the evidence seems to point in one direction and this may be a stupid question, but I'm going to be brave (and/or stupid) and ask it anyway.Has anything been said that can tell us wether or not we will be able to have more than one artifact weapon per character? If that would be the case, I would imagine two max - one per specialisation active on the character. I would guess they're not going for that, since they're focused on the mentality of all characters using a single weapon throughout the entire expansion, but you never know with Blizzard, right? Also, since quests (class quests or not) are generally not repeatable, it's likely you'll have to make a choice just like with, eg. rings from the ashen verdict, or the WoD legendary rings, where you manually choose the ring appropriate for your specialisation.Just want to be absolutely sure that if a player (not currently saying that's me, but who knows, with enough time on my hands and if it's worth it for my gameplay experience) wants to collect all weapons, they need to level up a character for every single one of them - or not. Also, I got confused when I saw the number 36 for amount of weapons. I thought "hey wait a minute, are people forgetting that the druid has FOUR specialisations available?". But then I checked the Legion site and it's only showing two specs for the Demon Hunter. Interesting stuff! To put it short: owning 36 different artifact weapons means playing 36 different high/max level characters? Might seem like a crazy idea to some players, but a few collectors might understand where I'm coming from. If it was just the different appearances but the same weapon for all two, three or four specs of a class, it'd be different. To me at least.
What about Brox's Wooden Axe for 2hd Warrior, from the War of the Ancients, passed onto Thura in Stormrage
R.I.P. Tirion Fordring...
