Maybe Azeroth is into body piercings... for all we know. LOL
Soon(tm)
The splinter thing reminds me of the black knight in life of brian
Well, I'm hoping that his answer was more of a deflection rather than dismissive, because his answer contradicts the story. Yes, we used our artifacts to drain the corruption, but that happened at the end of Legion, before the events of BfA where Azeroth's blood was roiling up to the surface. It was never clearly explained why that suddenly stopped when we defeated N'zoth (who didn't become a physical entity until long after Azerite wounds were appearing. The only assumed answer is that the Heart of Azeroth cauterised her wound at the same time it roasted Old God marshmallows. However, for a community that seems so desperate to move away from all the "cosmic gumph", they seem far too interested to the removal of a larger-than-most-azerothian-cities that clearly can only be removed by another cosmic scaled being.Just because things surround that sword haven't been properly explained anywhere so far doesn't mean we should ignore common sense and believe that a six mile long sword can be removed by mortals.
Looking for data since I felt that this sword is absolutely puny I found this gem:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d_wwV4ww3dA&t=1sBut this feels off, not the calculations done but the animations these calculations are based on.Azeroth has a radius of 4243m?Nope, Azeroth is quite bigger than this, only the animation used as data point is not acurate.Kalimdor has been "measured" to be about 20km long. And according to the map in game there is room for more than 2 1/2 Kalimdors from north to south. This would mean that the circumference of Azeroth is at least 100km going north to south. So the radius is about 16km then.Of course my calculation is not meant to be accurate either, this would require a complete map.But it shows that the radius is at least four times bigger than in the video. That gives the 1477 m that the sword is supposedly buried into Azeroth a different perspective, this goes from "third of the way toward Azeroth core"or 34% penetration down to "only" 9% penetration.Of course this is only in game, according to the lore the surface of Azeroth is at least by a factor of 1000 bigger. But this would not be playable. And totally unrelated to all this, I wonder why no one is picking up on "But we're not updating or doing significant new stuff in those old zones.".So we are going back to Azeroth and "all" they do is put more land on the map and soleley focus on this new land.I really was hoping to see a little revamp some time that integrates the Ghostlands into the Eastern Kingdons including allowing to fly there. And not to forget about Azuremyst and Bloodmist Isle.
It's not a splinter, it's a fashion statement! You people don't get nowadays girls (even if it's a very BIG slumbering girl planet). And, yeah, Azeroth is a tsundere.
what sword?
bloody big splinter, gonna need more than tweezers to get that one out
it would have been better if he didnt say anything. ion doesnt care about the story and it shows. disappointing.
Jailer drops a silithid soul, the Dragonflight teases old foes, hot take: the sword awakened an unknown "hive" of silithid and we'll fight them again.
Getting that thing out merely requires Goblins, Dwarfs and time.Which makes me wonder why at least everything above ground is not gone already.
