You kids are funny. Name one union that has increased the quality of a product.Job security has never and will never create a more productive work force. Think back to the crummy teachers you had growing up that couldn't be fired. Everything in business and life is a tradeoff. Their personal security will be traded for cost and productivity. As end users we have to hope that Microsoft trades the added costs in a way that limits the decreased productivity. We get the best content when their quality employees are working their hardest, and human nature dictates that people do more when they have something to lose. Just remember: They didn't unionize so they could bring you a better product. They did it to push back on the company for the demands of their employment, right or wrong. All three groups (The employees, Microsoft, and Us) will have to "pay" somehow. Microsoft's cost have just gone up with the same output capacity as the day before this happened. That has to be resolved somehow and we, the end users of the product, are the bottom of that chain. It is true that each group will incur some "cost" of this change, but the company never loses and now the employees have added a layer to limit their perceived losses. So who's left? You can be all for the people and be happy for them with their unionization, just don't associate that with a better product for us or you will be disappointed. The best case scenario for players is this: we pay more to play this game to offset these increased costs and the quality doesn't go down. Then everyone can be happy about how happy Blizzard employees are and things keep rolling. The alternative scenarios are only negative comparatively.
^^ Well said, sir.
This is wonderful news! I am so incredibly happy for them!
Awesome
Fire all of them and start over with people who actually know how to do the job
Good grief, let's keep cheering on the fake victim classes why don't we! They were all DEI hires anyways!
