Can you just post your interview instead of piece by piece
My guild has killed HC Sarkareth every week since release with 3 evokers in the raid. Not one legendary. Very rewarding
that point about the sylv bow kinda just wasnt true. when it released it was only good by virtue of it being a higher ilvl than other weapons. stats werent incredible and it got outclassed by the same difficulty wep on the next tier which is pretty standard fare
Sounds good to me, if they want legendaries to actually be legendaries then you absolutely shouldn't be guaranteed to have it.
3 normal Neltharions7 heroic Neltharions7 weeks vaults with possible trinket from Neltharionamount of Call to Chaos seen by me: 0W T F ?
Such a terrible answer, and not only that but filled with filler words that say nothing other than they arent planning on it or more than likely didnt realize it was a bad system til you asked. This system for a legendary is terrible. Its not 2008 and nobody inspects random people in orgrimmar and gets jealous of their cool leet epix. Give me an avenue to actually earn or obtain it, seeing people with rat alts in half green/blues getting it should NEVER be a thing when people who have been killing on multiple difficulties every week cannot get it. Ive said since the 2/3rd week once realizing how unreasonably rare it was that it needs to have some kind of BLP in the form of shards that once you get x amount(or get lucky and get it from a random lfr kill) you can start the quest instead of it just being completely random. Hopefully they read the endless feedback here and elsewhere and from previous instances of this type of thing and hotfix this now.
Truthfully, even though I love the thought of a Legendary item in WoW, They just don't feel like legendary weapons anymore. Yeah, an extremely low drop chance is fine and all. But I have to admit it does suck when the entire drop chance of it is based on luck, rather than skill and dedication. The questline is admittedly a complete joke, and I understand Blizzard is trying to make changes and push towards making legendaries feel like legendaries again, but rather than making it an extremely low drop rate, they could have easily made it to where the quest to get the legendary was 50%/100% Chance to drop, but the Questline took actual time and dedication to obtain. Look back at how Cataclysm did their legendaries, Casters went into Firelands, killed some trash, and got the questline to drop. From there, the race was on, and it took MONTHS to get everything you needed to do finished for it. Even though the means of obtaining the quest was quick and easy, the actual quest line is where the game got ya. Rather than it being strictly down to RNG to get a quest that you can complete in a matter of a day at most, you got a questline that took real time and dedication to achieve, and when you were done with it, you had that item as a token. Even now, you still see people completing the Dragonwrath questline and having the drakes fly around Stormwind or Orgrimmar. I'm a proud owner of Dragonwrath, I got it back in Mists of Pandaria, and I still rock the staff on most of my casters because it's such an iconic item. That even in the present day, takes about a month and a half to obtain.Another great example was the Cloaks from Mists of Pandaria. The way to start the questline was easy, but the grind was real. I didn't get to experience the entire questline from start to finish, I only got 3 / 4 pieces to make it. But during the time it took to get that progress, I was still feeling very proud and rewarded knowing how close I was getting, with every quest being completed.I guess a way to wrap this up is, Blizz. Take a step back, and look at how legendaries have been done in the past. From Vanilla's Thunderfury, Wrath's Shadowmourne, Cataclysm's Dragonwrath & Fangs of the Father, to MoP's Legendary Cloaks. They were all very rewarding and players didn't feel like they wasted their time when they finally finished the questline. They felt rewarded, and they felt like they had just completed something. I'm not saying drop-based legendaries are terrible. But they don't come to be as rewarding to the player community as something as nostalgic as a huge quest chain that feels extremely rewarding when you've finished the quest line and secured the legendary. I feel like legendaries should return to the iconic spot as a Token of Honor as they once were.Laters Y'all
I'm very glad they will not cave and give free deterministic legendaries to all these whiny sweatlords. This isn't Legion and we don't want it to be.If someone thinks a Legendary is something you get on every character by doing a quest, they're probably just too young to be sharing your opinion on this matter. Not only due to lack of experience with real legendaries in this game and older MMOs, but also due to the "gimme my participation trophy" mentality typically prevalent in those who have little life experience. A lot of these posts feel like Blizzard is a parent talking to children, which in many regards, they are.
RNG loot is bad and legendaries is not exception to that rule. Everything should always be deterministic.
This patch/xpac has such insane potential and so far has been a huge improvement on the last several patches/iterations. Why cant they accept and act on feedback in a more speedy manner instead of doubling down and waiting so long that its silly and far overdue.
