The fact that it's max ilvl regardless of difficulty is a bit silly.
It's not Blizzard that is being ridiculous in this case, it's the players. It is your own damn fault if you feel the need to create an army of evokers for a gear upgrade you can absolutely do without.
Dude is such a donkey anus. JUST buff the drop rate to that of a normal weapon. It still is a grind to get but not as much as it is now.
The Authority has spoken! And everyone should bow down to it. 🙇♂️🙇♂️
"We want to still continue to chase those sorts of cool thematic surprises"The world first kill unlocking the drop for everyone was cool. The associated pet unlock was cool. The announcement was cool for a bit. The investment required in farming and crafting is cool."We definitely don't want to be in a world where down the line months from now, if you're applying to Mythic guilds"The problem isn't only power Mythic raiders. I raid Heroic with my guild who aren't particularly interested in farming the raid. I avoid PUGging as much as possible because I've had such terrible experiences. I'm OK doing LFR because I like teaching newbies and determination ensures I'm not wasting my time. My evoker is the first time in my 15 years of playing this game I've hit max level. Vault of the Incarnates was my first time raiding and I loved it. I'm invested in the RPG aspect of my character. I'm invested in her lore. I want her to progress. This legendary is super cool and I'd like to be able to set it as a goal. But the acquisition implementation and the seasonal design really doesn't make that realistic for me. My guild will lose interest with farming the raid. The LFR experience will get worse and worse over time and queue times will go up and up. There will be a long period of time where the content won't be soloable and the drop will be totally inaccessible to me. Eventually it'll become soloable and I'll be able to enter the lottery again. Then I'll be faced with the fact that it's been x years and y expansions from now; what crafters are going to still be around with Dragonflight professions to help me complete it? It's just awful.IDK why some players are being so harsh on their fellow players, their fellow Azerothians. I don't feel entitled. I don't want to parse. I don't want to show off to anyone. I don't want to "buy" a spot in PUGs or higher tier raiding guilds. I want to have an experience, an adventure, a story. I want to work and grind and invest over time to earn something epic and special. I don't care if it's time gated over months. I don't care if I have to farm loads. I don't care if I have to travel all over the world. Hell, all of that would be so cool. I just hate that the way things stand it boils down to "enter the lottery once a week" and "oh by the way if you're an average player you get a worse lottery ticket get good lol".I appreciate the commentary from Blizzard, as I've been hoping for one. I want to take it in good faith, but honestly it's surprising to me that any of this feedback came as a surprise to them. If none of this truly occurred to them, frankly it makes me sad that I am not the kind of player this game is meant for, apparently.

I don't understand people who compare Legion / SL legendaries to those of other expansions. The legendaries in these expansions are an integral part of the AP system (like legion weapons, azerith armor pieces etc.).A bit like Dragonflight's embellishments. The "real" legendaries were based on either RNG or farm or both.Having most of the legendaries, for my part the Cataclysm system, which required farming and personal but also community investment, was the most interesting.I don't understand why, since SL, we've gone back to a pure RNG system, which is more frustrating than anything else...
